What's dominator westley and westley dominator like..The idea popped up in my head again just now and I'm DESPERATE to hear more about them

ok i did a few doodles exploring my initial ideas for westley's mech, because i'm absolutely certain he'd lean on a big intimidating and indestructible thing to draw attention away from how Little bitty he is. i think he'd go by "eclips-o" or something silly like that, and his whole mission is to "blot out" lackadaisical's empire, like a lunar eclipse (on account of the moon theme i have for lackey's stuff).

i think he feels very personally betrayed by lord lackey's disappearance and instead of being thrilled by the pay raise following his extended absence, it just fills him with rage. lord lackey/mr meteor Does not know him, but he knows he's a watchdog, and he feels very responsible for his unending path of destruction across everything he once held dear.

i also think he may enlist Other Watchdogs to do most of the engineering, probably including that one scientist guy from the big job, and they're kinda reluctant but very much held at gunpoint. Clumsy gunpoint, which is even more dangerous. they're afraid of setting him off because not only will he shoot at them, he'll miss, and something terrible will happen collaterally.

and for dominator, she'd be part of wander's cult and freed by meteor and peepers! like westley and lord hater's empire, she'd be very reluctant to leave the cult, because the reason she'd've joined in the first place would've been out of loneliness. she's convinced herself that the cult is the one and only way she'll ever be able to relate to another person, as somebody with very unconventional interests (murder?) and a problem with self-isolation.

meteor and peepers would work with her to figure out what it is she really wants out of life and what it is she can do with an interest in violence. Perhaps bug collection. or painting

Unfortunately, just like canon Puzzles, he is INSANELY tall 💔💔

I do actually have some medical-related headcannons for why he’s as tall as he is! I’ll put all my ramblings under a readmore for anybody who’s interested:

So I think I very briefly mentioned it in my little Mr. Puzzles post, but I headcannon that he has Marfan Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder that results in a tall, thin frame with a short torso and disproportionately long arms, legs, and fingers. Most of his medical issues and “abnormalities” are also a result of Marfan Syndrome (such as his eye problems, crooked teeth in his youth, extreme flexibility, etc), and it’s the main reason he’s as spindly as he is in canon.

But he also developed another disorder because of this: Gigantism. It’s rare, but there have been cases of people having both Gigantism and Marfan Syndrome at the same time - and Mr. Puzzles is one of those cases. He’s been towering over everybody ever since he hit puberty.

In SMG4 canon he’s probably robotized most of his body, so he was probably able to make himself taller because of it. But even WITHOUT all the upgrades he would still tower over everybody lol.

every time i read emma im struck by how much i genuinely love mr john knightley... hes my best friend he's my loverboy he's the strange and sly and somewhat awkward man of my heart....

the rice fields in yomawari lost in the dark are interesting. the scarecrow is meant to be kuebiko, a kami associated w agriculture that takes the form of a scarecrow w awareness that cannot move (or, in the game's interpretation, cannot move in any way that a scarecrow logically can't because mr scarecrow moves a LOT)

the monster ghost babies have less of an obvious cultural context behind them, at least to my eyes as an outsider. there isn't, say, one singular yokai that takes the form of a monstrous baby, but there are little clues that tell a story

there are the "komori stones" as named on that billboard, there is a note you can find where someone laments how something being done for the good of the village is cruel to children, there is something the game calls a "string shaped stone" that is clearly meant to be unserstood as being a petrified umblical cord, there are red spider lilies dotted theoughout the area,all coming together in what i think is a kind of sad story

i think at some point in the town's past this was where unwanted or stillborn infants were abandoned, as i don't think it was always a rice field. the komori stones are grave markers or otherwise something representing these infants, and after the area got turned into agricultural land it became part of the local kami's duty to quell their restless spirits and keep them from welling up, bc over time theyve i guess become infused w malignant energy that makes them dangerous. the reason it keeps destroying the komori stacks is bc they're acting as ways for the spirits to escape into the world of the living, and in turn the reason the monstrous baby spirits keep destroying the scarecrow effigies is bc they're throwing tantrums about not being allowed to "play" w people, bc even if they're horrible monster babies they're still babies.
