The sun is starting to set when Lee guides Dolce into the field of wildflowers. The orange light gives way to the darkness as the small campsite Kayce has set up for your honeymoon comes into view.
There’s a white bell tent erected in the clearing alongside the river with two rows of small Moroccan style lamps highlighting the path to the open doorway.
The inside of the tent is decorated with battery powered fairy lights that illuminate the space in a dulcet glow. He can see Jamie’s touches in the quality of the brand new bedrolls laid out across the rug on the floor, the expensiveness of the white bedding that’s draped across them. There’s a wicker picnic basket resting alongside an unlit campfire and  a bottle of Moet residing in a bucket filled with cold water from the stream along with two champagne glasses.
Lee spends the next few hours licking it from your skin as you cry out his name across the pasture.
When he wakes up the next morning it’s with a sense of contentment he’s never known in all his years at the ranch. The midday sun graces his skin as he stirs, a light breeze cooling him as he rolls onto his back, using his arm to shield his eyes from the light. It’s the first time he’s slept late in decades.
When he reaches for you across the sheets and he’s surprised to find them empty, his eyes flicker open and his heart pounds but then he hears the sound of splashing and that he realises what you’re up to. He pokes his head out of the tent and there you are wearing nothing but his wedding ring and a smile as you bathe in the lake.
“Aren’t you going to join me?” You ask him and Lee can’t get out of that tent fast enough.
The afternoon sun has already warmed the water by the time he submerges himself and it feels like bliss, soothing over his aches from cowboying as he wraps one arm around your waist and draws you to him.
“I thought you were gone.” He whispers, his fingertips brushing the damp hair away from your features as you straddle his lap. “That this was a dream and it was all too good to be true.”
“Never.” You promise him, cradling his face between your palms. “I’m all yours baby, from now until your dying day, you’ll have me as your wife.”

As you can see I've colour coded the sets by game. NL is pink, NH is blue, and sets that didn't really change between games are purple.
For the redesign matches, it was an even split between NH and NL. out of 10 redesign matches, they each won 5.
It's easier for me if all the new polls post in a row with no gaps between, so round 2 will start in a few days to give the hourly tournament a chance to catch up! This should be the only round where I have to do that.

Violet’s bedroom Pt. 2
Tumblr media
I did a post the other year in detail on Violet’s bedroom her eclectic style (click here if you haven’t seen it). I mentioned a lot of items on that post and also talked about the fact her bedroom is eclectic, meaning she has a collection of different styles, tastes and ideas. Some of it could even fall under bohemian (the noun, not place). The Anthropologie Karakoram rug is an example of that - it’s exotic and handmade. Many of her clothing is also bohemian style.
I also mentioned recently in a separate post (click here) that her bedroom is actually a pale, duck egg blue not green or teal. It’s explained in the post about how the lighting and times of day effect the appearance and hue of her walls.
Bohemian
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the items in her room that could fall under Bohemian style are her Karakoram rug, her two moroccan pouffes. Most people don’t mention the fact that she has two more Moroccan pouffes (she has a black and purple one). She also has a beige patchwork one.
Industrial
She has a few items that are classed as “industrial” style - the wall lighting, her black wire bookshelf, the copper wire basket near the chalkboard and other desk lighting in her room. Industrial style means aesthetic or items that are commonly used in old factories, building materials etc.. A common theme in industrial style is wire/metal and exposure, such as exposure of brick walls.
Tumblr media
Other furniture/items
Tumblr media
Her yellow marble top dresser has a floral pattern on the woodwork which is commonly seen in antique French marble top dressers. But there’s no way of verifying where the dresser is from, but it’s one of my favourite pieces in Violet’s bedroom and no one ever talks about it! I think it’s so beautiful.
Between the lamp and gum ball machine is an antique style open wooden jewellery box. Throughout the season there are different items on her dresser, from loose jewellery to her IPod dock.
Tumblr media
On top of her marble dresser next to the gum ball machine she has an old looking desk light. The exact light used is called "Jumo GS1 Table Lamp, 1960s" I always assumed they glued on the doll to the base of the lamp for the show, after researching the lamp there is a white switch that sticks up on the base of the lamp where the doll head is attached/placed on. So she uses the doll’s head to switch it on. 💀 I also wonder if the lamp was supposed to be a left over item from when nurse’s stayed there due to the “60’s” era style lighting? (The lamp was actually made in the 60’s)… Just a thought.
Also, when researching this lamp it stated it as “industrial style”. There’s still many of these secondhand lamps for sale, mostly from European countries as it is of French origin.
Tumblr media
Another item that never gets mentioned is the wire mannequin that is to the left of chalkboard!
Tumblr media
Another less talked about item is her vintage black floral bin. They are typically a style from the 50’s and hand painted. You can commonly find them secondhand on places like EBay with some beautiful paintings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I might do a Pt.3 another time as I have hit the maximum image limit.

spargus city reimagined: architecture
inspirations under the cut
i understand that spargus would need to be efficient and resourceful considering its a desert society of warriors, but i also refuse to think that the citizens wouldn’t make it more appealing. haven is such a rigerous and bleek city, so how cool would it have been to have a sharp juxtaposition of the two? once you leave haven and enter spargus and you were immersed in bright mosaics and frescos and tiles and stainglass.
taking inspiration from art nouveau (specifically gaudi), moroccan, middle eastern, mesoamerican, and minoan cultures, i think spargus would build their homes and community lots with the idea of blending into the environment around them. tumblr only lets me put 9 images but i would’ve also like to have explored a little bit more of polynesian influences such as palm leaf weaving, cuisine, ect.
i pictures colorful tapestries and pottery and miles of spice baskets in the bazzar with some spargans being in a more artistic trade. i could see maybe an npc sitting outside a shop and handpainting tiles for door frames or stair steps. so many cultures who live in the desert are colorful and brimming with art, so why should spargus be any different?

So, I already edited and added to this one before and it took two hours and then tumblr glitched and saved none that and instead posted my original messy draft and I didn't realise for several hours and was very annoyed which is why this is coming now rather than sooner.
I've decided to save my full David and Syd analysis until after watching season three, so this is just my stray observations post while watching the last three episodes of season 2.
- If David hadn't been off fucking Future Syd maybe he could have prevented the delusion spreading through Division 3 and maybe Ptonomy could have survived. Also, I know they were limited timewise, and I know they haven't really known what to do with Ptonomy since season 1, but couldn't we get at least one shot of his friends mourning him?! If not David and Syd, at least Melanie? Wasn't it implied they worked together a significant amount of time at Summerland? I know his consciousness is being kept alive in a computer or whatever, but they didn't know that at the time!
- I want to know how Clark and Syd's 'girl talk' moment came to be. Do they meet for tea regularly? Talk about their love lives and exes? I'm not sure how I feel about Clark's story about the boy in the army he loved who kept jumping out of planes to get away from him. I feel like it might have been better to get something more real in that moment than bizarre (especially when we know he had a husband and son that he lost due to his obsession with David). I read a review that treated the army boy story as serious and emotional but like... he parachuted away from him, and then one day his parachute didn't open?! It's just occurred to me thst I might be taking this too literally like the autistic stereotype I am but honestly in a show like Legion that's the sort of thing that would be intended to be taken literally and not as a metaphor so I don't even know anymore...
- Literal or not I did not miss the parallel of Syd jumping out of a plane and parachuting down to get to David. Honestly, parachuting into the desert and immediately kicking your boyfriend in the shins is such a power move.
- In general it feels like the show doesn't know what to do with Clark, and I worry that he'll meet a similar fate to Ptonomy as a result. Hopefully not!
- Admiral Fukuyama was created to keep the secrets safe from the telepaths...now he works with them? I liked seeing some of how he came to be, but it honestly it left me more confused. Also, if all he has is the metalwork around his head, I don't really get why he wears a basket...its probably just a meaningless visual I'm reading too much into... I love the visuals of Legion a lot, but I do feel like sometimes 'this would look cool/weird/strange' is the only reasoning behind things and it doesn't always land with me.
- So this absolutely should have gone in my TUA comparison post, but I remembered writing it, got confused, and thought I'd already posted it rather than stuck it in a stray observations draft...whoops. David choosing to not tell anyone his plan as Farouk would read their mind and instead manipulating them all as an alternative - it's the first time David, as David has acted based on his own thoughts and feelings and I'm questioning if he's doing the right thing. I couldn't help but think of Five Hargreeves line to Viktor in The Umbrella Academy, 'You know what they call a superhero who acts alone and doesn't listen to anybody? A villain.' (Having now reached the end of the season I wasn't wrong)
- Farouk previously talked about David's white father taking over and telling his people what to do (sidenote: who are Farouk's people? I thought he might mean mutants, but the white part of the line then doesn't make sense. It's unclear if Farouk is Moroccan like the comics or Iranian, since he speaks Farsi, but in this universe, did Professor X colonise Morocco/Iran?!?) He also talks about white people being cast as the heroes when speaking with Future Syd, and he's got a point, but the show needs to commit if it truly wants to address this. Yes exoticism has been used as short hand for villainous in the past, yes the writers of Legion didn't create or name Amahl Farouk, they're just (loosely) adapting the comics, and yes David does reveal himself to be a villain rather than a hero. But like...Farouk is still also a villain? So yeah, your blonde blue-eyed white man might be a monster, but that doesn't erase all the things Farouk has done (including helping turn David into a monster). Also, him being free at the end is down to his manipulations and control of others, right? Because the whole of Division 3 isn't so stupid as to let him walk free, right?!?
- 'You're the song they play outside a hostage crisis to keep criminals from thinking clearly.' This is just a great line I wanted to highlight. Syd could have just called Lenny a distraction but went with this beauty instead.
-The show that talked about delusion and moral panic then tries to blame technology for helping create narcissists and not seeing others as real people. It feels like that stupid 2014 video that claimed using our phones meant we'd miss out on meeting the love of our life because we won't ask her for directions. It's such nonsense. I've seen people who watched it when it aired say that technology is just a framing device for discussing narcissism and not meant to be seen as the blame, but if that's the case, sorry, they did a shit job because it absolutely feels like its proselytising about the evils of tech. It feels so incredibly out touch and tactless, and I wish they cut it, especially as the John Hamm narrative segments had reached a natural conclusion just the episode before. Having enjoyed the segments until now, it's disappointing that this is what they were building to.
-I think they were aiming for 'the desolate' or 'desolation' but 'Le désolé' just means 'the sorry' I checked with a French friend to make sure, and they confirmed it. You can use désolé to mean desolate, but only if there's a noun in front of it so this doesn't work.
- I'm not sure if the two David in David's mind are meant to be alters or like a devil and angel on his shoulder (really hope it's the latter because DID has been demonised enough and I don't trust the show to not be another Split honestly) but as someone who watches with subtitles I got the fun insight that their names are apparently Divad and Dvd.
- I've seen some people say Legion is set in the '60s/70s but we're never given a year, right? Considering it's a parallel universe I thought it was just another present day low/no tech AU like The Umbrella Academy or Manic. Especially as a lot if the tech we see feels more steampunk than 1960s . I get why a reviewer called the depiction of an MRI scan in season 1 anachronistic now, since MRI was only invented in 1977 (sidenote: as a student radiographer I will still never get over that scene. I was so ready to just accept it as a made up experimental scan and then they said the words MRI and I had to pause it, I was laughing so hard because it's sooo bad)
- I watched two whole seasons of this show and thought Melanie was played by Kim Cattral, but she isn't, she's played by Jean Smart! TWO SEASONS. I hadn't heard of Jean Smart before now, but honestly her and Kim Cattral are twins.

Bohemian Interior Design for Delhi Homes: Eclectic, Free-Spirited, and Vibrant
Bohemian interior design, often referred to as "boho" style, is a creative and eclectic mix of patterns, textures, and colors that reflect a free-spirited and artistic lifestyle. For homeowners in Delhi, bohemian design offers a chance to embrace a relaxed, lived-in vibe that feels personal and inviting. It’s a style that encourages self-expression and the layering of different cultures and eras. Here’s how to bring the bohemian vibe into your Delhi home.
1. Layered Textures and Patterns
At the heart of bohemian design is the layering of textures and patterns. In a Delhi home, experiment with a mix of textiles such as throw blankets, rugs, cushions, and tapestries. Opt for rich, woven fabrics like wool, cotton, and linen with intricate designs, such as tribal patterns, floral prints, or geometric shapes. Mixing and matching different textures adds depth and creates a cozy, lived-in atmosphere.
2. Warm and Earthy Color Palettes
Bohemian interiors typically feature a warm, earthy color palette with pops of vibrant colors. In a Delhi home, incorporate shades of terracotta, mustard yellow, deep green, and burnt orange to create a warm and inviting environment. These colors reflect the natural surroundings and blend seamlessly with the eclectic mix of patterns and textures. Accents of jewel tones like turquoise, ruby, or sapphire can add a touch of boldness to the space.
3. Eclectic and Vintage Furniture
One of the joys of bohemian design is the freedom to mix and match furniture styles. In a Delhi home, combine vintage and modern pieces to create an eclectic look. Vintage wooden furniture, rattan chairs, or mid-century modern sofas can coexist harmoniously in a bohemian space. The key is to focus on comfort and individuality, choosing pieces that tell a story or have a personal connection.
4. Global and Cultural Influences
Bohemian design often draws inspiration from various cultures and regions around the world. In a city as diverse as Delhi, you can easily incorporate cultural elements into your home’s decor. Consider using Indian block-printed textiles, Moroccan rugs, or African-inspired baskets to add a global flair to your space. Mixing cultural artifacts and handmade items creates a layered, worldly feel that is central to bohemian design.
5. Greenery and Natural Elements
Plants play a significant role in bohemian interiors, adding life and vibrancy to the space. In a Delhi home, consider incorporating indoor plants such as snake plants, succulents, or monstera to create a lush, natural environment. Hanging plants, large potted plants, or a collection of smaller plants on a shelf can add a sense of tranquility and freshness. Natural elements like wooden furniture, bamboo decor, and woven baskets also enhance the earthy, organic feel of bohemian design.
6. Artistic and Personal Touches
Bohemian interiors are all about showcasing personality and creativity. In a Delhi home, fill your space with personal treasures, artwork, and handmade items that reflect your individuality. Whether it’s a collection of paintings, handwoven wall hangings, or a vintage record player, these items add character and make the space uniquely yours. Bohemian design encourages self-expression, so don’t be afraid to display items that hold sentimental value.
7. Cozy and Inviting Seating Areas
Bohemian design prioritizes comfort and relaxation. In a Delhi home, create cozy seating areas with oversized cushions, floor pillows, and poufs. Layer rugs of different sizes and patterns to define a seating area and make it feel more intimate. Low, informal seating arrangements encourage lounging and socializing, making your home feel welcoming and laid-back.

This Moroccan gem, with its rich tapestry of colors, textures, and cultural heritage, offers an endless array of subjects waiting to be captured. Whether you're an amateur with a smartphone or a seasoned photographer with a professional camera, Marrakesh provides a stunning backdrop for your creativity. Let’s dive into the visual feast that is Marrakesh and explore how to best capture its beauty.
The Medina: A Maze of Possibilities
The Medina of Marrakesh is a UNESCO World Heritage site, and for good reason. This walled city is a labyrinth of narrow alleys, bustling souks, and historical landmarks. The vibrant markets are a riot of color, with vendors selling everything from spices and textiles to intricate lanterns and traditional pottery. Capture the essence of Marrakesh by focusing on the details: the texture of handmade rugs, the vivid hues of spices piled high in baskets, and the intricate patterns of traditional Moroccan tiles.
Tips for Shooting in the Medina
Early Mornings and Late Afternoons: The soft, golden light during these times enhances the vibrant colors and casts beautiful shadows.
Interact with Locals: Engage with shopkeepers and artisans. They often welcome photographers who show genuine interest in their work.
Details Matter: Don’t just shoot wide scenes. Get up close to capture the fine details that tell the story of Marrakesh's craftsmanship.
Majorelle Garden: A Botanical Oasis
The Majorelle Garden is a lush, tranquil escape from the bustling streets of the Medina. Designed by the French artist Jacques Majorelle and later restored by Yves Saint Laurent, this garden is a paradise for photographers.
