My second two randomly generated Pokemon were Lycanroc and Chingling.

I wasn't planning on developing the Pokemon in these practice drawings into characters, buuut I'm officially attached to these two. So. This is Kotaro the Lycanroc and his mentor Terumi the Chingling, and they have an exploration team together! Because levitating for long periods of time is difficult for Terumi, they usually let Kotaro carry them around his neck while travelling so they can save their energy for battling.

Next time I draw Kotaro, I'm going to differentiate his design from basic Lycanroc a little more. I already have a few ideas for him. :3c

🦊 25 - Day 7 - Rock - Lycanroc

Day 7 of the Pokétober Challenge on the topic of rock Pokémon.

Actually, my favorite rock Pokémon would be Rockruff, but since I drew it first, I chose its evolution.

Since there are three variants of Lycanroc, I tried to get all three on one card.

In my sketch it looked like the Midnight Form wanted to take a group selfie. 😅

Now the final version looks like they were waiting for their trainer like dogs. ^^

Moonbrooke character doodles for PMDQB2, just a bunch of dogs, fox-cats and a lion

To be frank, I don't dislike/hate Moonbrooke as much as other DQB2 players did, but hoo boy, I sure do hate some aspects of Moonbrooke's plot (especially what they did to Malroth and the constant monster raids that occur later on in the game). Just drew the Moonbrooke characters cause why not? I don't dislike/hate the Moonbrooke characters tbh (besides Warwick)?! However I still found it very scummy regarding how they tricked me and treated Malroth (that's one aspect I ain't forgiving them ever), aside from Esther cause she can sense that Malroth isn't the culprit and he does have a kind heart, and such (she's my fav Moonbrooke resident)

Final dorm! Savannaclaw! (I now hate Leona/j)

Lycanroc (midday form) is basically a given I feel, and since Jack likes cacti, I gave him Cacturn. I did kinda want to give him maractus, because that’s funny to me, but I’ve decided to use that for a side character. I gave him A. Sandshrew bc he’s from a cold area, and I once saw a really cute fanart of Jack having a Wurmple and Vil having a Glameow as kids, then in NRC Jack has a Purugly and Vil has a Dustox, and I absolutely love that idea, and am stealing it. Growlith and Herdier bc Jack’s a wolf.

Shady critters. That was the theme. The only thing I feel like commenting on is the Lycanroc (midnight form), because it both fits him, and he’s matching with Jack :)

Leona… oh Leona, I had no idea what to do for like half of your team. Pyroar (m) is obvious, and so is Nidoking I feel. Lycanroc (dusk form) is so that he can match with his brothers dorm mates. Also, if you want to stretch it, in The Lion King, Mufasa says that everything the light touches is apart of their kingdom, so Jack, being the most moral and just of them would be the light with midday form, and Ruggie, representing the hyenas, is the dark with midnight form, and then Leona, who’s a prince of the light yet hangs out in the dark, is the dusk, where the light meets the dark. Shiny luxray was suggested to me by @honeynclove thank you for that btw, and yeah. It fits enough. I vibe with it 👍. Sandslash bc I wanted to give him a ground type and I gave Jack a Sandshrew, so, fun. And then Tyranitar bc, ground type…? I have no idea, I just needed to get to 6 and it caught my eye. If anyone can get a better reason, please tell me
