I'm actually very new to Stardew Valley mods, so I would love some recommendations, if not your entire mod list

Ok so my entire mod list is like 267 mods, so I don't think... I can do that... but in terms of top mods:

Stardew Valley Expanded - Adds a SHIT TON of content to the game. Really recommend it, ESPECIALLY if you're a bit of a veteran and are looking for something new

Seasonal Outfits for Villagers - What it says on the tin; the villagers will change outfits with seasons. It's a great mod!

Immersive Shane - Best SDV romance mod hands down

Yandere Elliott - I'm biased and if you like yanderes, you'll like this mod. It's a lot more subtle with the trope and a very well written mod as a whole; adds in so much dialogue and new events. Great mod. [My portraits that are compatible; you will need to download the main mod and then take the portraits from mine and replace the portraits of this mod, bc I didn't update mine with the corrected framework yet... uhh... yeah sorry]

Visible Fish - Simple mod that makes it so you can see fish in the water, helpful for Perfection

Dynamic Reflections - Simple mod that lets you see reflections, just adds a nice dose of realism and makes the Midnight Jellyfish festival gorgeous

Fashion Sense - Lets you change your outfits and customize yourself! This is a framework mod though, so you need to add in other mods that are compatible to get the full use of it

Shardust's Animated Hairstyles - MUST have FashionSense. Adds animated hair to the game, so when you run it'll move and etc. It's just nice, idk. You won't see the hairs until you are in game, which you'll then need to use the hand mirror (when you make a new save, you will have an option to toggle it; check your mail once you load in) to select one.

Farmer Portraits - Framework mod; basically gives your farmer a portrait (with reactions, if you wish) like the villagers have. I love this mod.

Farmer Seasonal Outfits (setting this up is a pain, especially in tandem with Farmer portraits, but it's worth it) - Your farmer will change outfits with the seasons

Speremint's Portraits (I'm biased and gonna recc my own portrait mod) - Portraits for all the villagers

I'd really just recc going through Nexusmods! There's so many good mods out there, and it's really fun to curate your experience. Just be wary of compatibility, as not all mods are compatible with each other (mostly this applies to any dialogue mods). Some mods are also not updated to 1.6, so again, just make sure to read instructions and the comments and etc.!

Hi ya. Love your blog.

Today I will clutter your ask box with why tripping is a plot device, and why I despise it.

There's two separate times Izuku the Ping Pong Ball Extraordinare trips in story that I remember and despise.

First one being the entrance exam trip. Used in so many fanfics and even has conspiracy theory of Nedzu being responsible for it.

Let's gather the feelings the scene gives off. Izuku is excited and mesmerised because UA is his dream school, he has gained belief in himself because he has a quirk and just begins to think maybe, maybe he can do it. He can be a hero. Be worthy of existing. He is starting to believe this, believe in himself.

And boom comes the deplorable trip on nothing. I hate it. Izuku's previously positive thoughts about himself jumps off to a black hole and he returns to of course I am a joke, a bad one at that mindset.

The narrative significance of this scene is made out to be introduction of Uraraka. But it is not. It is one of the cogs of entrance exam arc that pushes Izuku to be a anxious mess that leaves him with zero points and mercy of One For All for passing the exam. I will return to this later because it has far reaching narrative and character development implications.

It pushes Izuku off the previously optimistic and hopeful mindset and onto the thought progress of he can only do something if he has One For All. The trip is a literal Diabolos/Deus Ex Machina depending on how you look.

Second trip is the one at the reveal of Full Cowling. Izuku ,the I Run on Walls Because Why Not, Midoriya trips and falls because he misjudged the landing, right when he was thinking positively about himself? Really? The definitely coincidental second trip when Izuku , I Fight as Ping Pong Ball Truck, Midoriya is thinking positively about himself. The one that changes his mindset from I am doing okay to I suck and I must try harder in an instant? It is loathsome.

And there isn't any payback or delayed but greater reward for this deliberate moments to stunt his character development. His ability to believe in himself. I just can't understand why an author would do this? And I do wonder if I am overreacting to some nothing of importance moments of imbalance.

So, yeah. What is your thoughts regarding this?

Because it annoys me to no end and a second opinion would be priceless, especially if it is coming from someone whose indepth or surface examinations of the story I very much like. Good days and sorry if I am cluttering your ask box.

Look, I'm not particularly bothered by how BNHA uses the tripping trope. I've read more than enough shounen and it could be infinitely worse. At least no one is tripping into some girl's boobs. (Though that trope is played with twice in an atypical way when Hatsume makes an entrance, but she is the instigator and Izuku is the only one flustered).

At the points you mention, the tripping is used to show how fragile Izuku's self-confidence is. I don't necessarily think that's a problem, especially because both instances occur early in the manga. At least Izuku was having introspection back then no matter how negative it was. And I do think the Entrance Exam trip was also to introduce Ochako because pre UA Izuku would never have had the guts to talk to a girl on his own at that point. If you're concerned about the narrative mean spiritedly putting Izuku down, Bakugou is right there

˚。━━  ㅤ ㅤ      ㅤ ㅤ   a mudança na rotina havia sido brusca. mesmo com a ajuda que estava recebendo, com as babás que o advogado de seu padrinho tinha contratado e os dias de folga que a escola lhe dera por conta de toda a situação envolvendo a morte de dongwon e a chegada do neném, ainda era uma mudança brusca. desejar ter um segundo filho nunca preparou jihan para a chegada repentina de um. por mais que tivesse a experiência com hangyu, era diferente. por mais que fosse inevitável para si não estar completamente rendido pela doçura de bonhwa, ainda precisava criar um laço e cuidar de um bebê tão pequeno não era nada simples. ainda mais quando precisava lidar com o crescente ciúme de hangyu. não podia culpá-lo também, ele ainda era só uma criança e sua vida também tinha virado de cabeça para baixo por causa do neném. era difícil. não havia palavra melhor. então, só lhe restava confiar que o tempo colocaria as coisas no lugar. o que não evitava que acabasse chorando pelo menos duas vezes por dia, em diferentes momentos e por diferentes motivos.

já estava tarde para gritar, mas ele não teve escolha. tivera que avisar daquela maneira que a porta estava aberta, porque estava sentado no sofá com bonhwa completamente acordado, deitado em seu peito e hangyu apagado, deitado em sua perna. aquela havia sido a maneira que encontrara de passar algum tempo com o filho, vendo um filme enquanto tentava fazer o neném dormir - sem sucesso algum - e agora estava encurralado, porque tentasse trocar o neném de posição para acordar hangyu e mandá-lo para a cama, ele chorava. então, a chegada de muse era quase como ter um anjo enviado pelos céus. ━━ desculpa não ter ido te receber... estou meio... preso aqui.  ━━ disse, junto uma risada claramente nervosa.

It was just Ginger marking Laz with her power, basically a "This one's mine" moment. It's why Valentin backed off and made up an excuse

De seguro no es la fiesta más ostentosa que el mayo ha tenido, pero deseaba hacer de este día uno memorable para la persona que le brindó otra oportunidad de vivir.

do you have any tips on when an old moot who is just giving you bad vibes even though everyone loves them and talks to you about them, but you don’t wanna block them because they are just terrible at communicating so you really don’t know what happened. like they ghosted you or idk… it just feels icky seeing people talk about them on my dash and have friends mention them in the dms…

i'd say to send them a message asking for clarification on their behavior, that way there's a chance for reconciliation, but if it's really bothering you, just block them, and try to ignore everyone talking about them. i know that i have awful communication skills, i forget to respond to about 50% of the people who message me but i never do it on purpose, and i'd feel absolutely awful if someone thought i had something against them because of it. so for their sake, i'd say ask for clarification, but if you really don't think you can manage, a block seems like the next best thing.
