Writing slow burn plots is low key objectively hilarious bc like. I fully understand the absurdity of me being like.

Vaugely for In The Dancing Of Fire In The Curve Of Old Bones#I have so many thoughts about everyone's feelings in this conversation#Itachi barely thinks he deserves to be alive#Him realizing he's accidentally started seeing Tobirama as a father figure more than a leader / warden#Might actually kill him when the time comes#“I was such a lousy son the first time; why should someone as rotten as me deserve a second chance” type thinking#Vs poor Sasuke#Probably melting down inside#Feeling like he's betraying his parents with every comfortable night that passes with Tobirama#The survivors guilt really kicking in#And gods Tobirama#Realizing he wants the best for them in a way that far surpasses his feelings towards the standard village kids / even his students#Realizing he wants them to grow into fine young men who can be proud of the life they live - shinobi or not#Fuck#I think I know how I'll do it / introduce it#But it probably won't be for a while#Give Itachi time to settle in and Sasuke time to cope with the Everything#Shikaku and Yashino are shaking their heads at them
