So, the very latest poll - from the reliable Marquette University - shows that the Harris/Walz ticket is pulling ahead of Rump.

And, the now upcoming Democratic Convention is expected to give Harris an even bigger bump in the ratings...

Her Party's momentum is growing ever faster.

So much that she's 4 points ahead with registered voters, 6 points among likely voters & 8 points if Kennedy stays in the race!!

This has caused a shift in Electoral College ratings in 3 states: Georgia, Arizona & Nevada!

These states are no longer leaning Republican but, are now "toss ups."

This is good news for Democrats - but, don't get complacent.

Every vote counts.

Especially since the Republikkkans are already busy - cheating people out of their chance to vote...

The Reps have passed registration purging 'laws' in Georgia & Florida!!

These allow Republikkkan agents to quietly erase Democratic registrations - keeping these folk from voting!

How absolutely wild that this was in my feed.

Not only because I write fanfic.

But also because I used to work at Haggerty! As a student at Marquette, I was a part-time "security guard" inside the museum. (It really was the poshest cushiest gig on campus: Just wear the provided blazer and gloves, then get paid to stroll around the museum to make sure visitors weren't touching the art. Loved that job!)

I just might participate. What an amazingly cool dissertation project! 😍

All of these and more are great reasons to participate in Affirmation/Transformation: Fandom Created, an exhibition at Marquette University's Haggerty Museum of Art. (You do NOT need to be an artist, or even someone who creates art to participate!) Write a story, write a song, design a cosplay, create a fancy manicure, make a meme, make a stop-motion video, choreograph a dance, make a SuperWhoLock gif fic, or anything else your heart can dream up.

Your creation must follow only one rule: It must be inspired by a fusion of 1. any fandom of your choice, and 2. one of the featured Haggerty pieces (click the link to see them!)

Completed works are due July 1, 2024. The exhibition will run August 23rd-December 22nd, 2024, and will be available to view in person and online.
