Provincial Ministers Dr Yasmin Rashid, Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari, Malik Muhammad Anwar, Maj (R) Tahir Sadiq MNA, Malik Jamshed Altaf MPA, PTI Attock president Qazi Ahmad Akbar, district council's chairperson Eman Tahir, ticket holders Malik Khuram Ali Khan, Akbar Khan Tanoli and others met with Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar in Attock on Friday. The CM extended his condolences to Qazi Ahmad Akbar over the death of his father Qazi Khalid Mahmood and offered Fateha for the departed soul.

Talking on this occasion, the CM regretted that the past governments deliberately neglected Attock and deprived this district of the development process. The PTI government has started several important projects to develop it, he told. The CM said the government has returned the people their rights and the volume of development work is unprecedented. Attock will continue to be the political stronghold of the PTI; he maintained and added that record funds have been provided to develop health, education and other facilities. The parliamentarians, as well as the PTI office-bearers, are my strength. Meanwhile, district development packages have been devised with parliamentarians' consultation to ensure composite development, he stated. While the government was moving the country forward, the opposition was following an anti-development agenda but the country would continue to move ahead and critics will be left behind, CM concluded.

HOSPITAL TO BE COMPLETED WITH FIVE BILLION 32 CRORE RUPEES

330 BILLION RUPEES TO BE SPENT ON SEHAT INSAAF CARD PROJECT IN PUNJAB

ATTOCK GETS A DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE OF 20 BILLION 60 CRORE RUPEES

42 NEW PROJECTS WITH AN AMOUNT OF FIVE BILLION 20 CRORE RUPEES TO BE INITIATED.

LAHORE, November 05:

Prime Minister Imran Khan has laid the foundation of a mother and child hospital consisting of 200 beds and this hospital would be constructed on 75 kanal land with a cost of Rs.5 billion 32 crore. Punjab government would contribute Rs.2 billion 66 crore while the federal government has already contributed the same amount grant and we express our gratitude with Prime Minister Imran Khan.

This was stated by Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar after a stone laying ceremony of mother and child hospital in Attock. CM said mother and child hospital would also have nursing college, hostel, residences, doctors apartments and Panah Gah for patients care givers would also be constructed adding that the mother and child hospital would provide gynae health services to 2 to 3 lakh females annually. Upgradation of health facilities in Attock would also benefit the people of adjoining districts of KPK Sawabi, Noshera and Haripur. 100 additional beds were being increased in DHQ hospital Attock while trauma center in Hazro and residential block in THQ Hazro was also been constructed. The CM said a trauma center would be set up at Gondal, a place between Attock and Hazro. Moreover, four basic health units of Attock would also be upgraded. The Chief Minister in his speech said the PTI government believes in uniform development of all the districts in Punjab and we would bring the backward areas of Punjab in line with the developed areas. The CM said in Annual Development Programme 2021-22, a historic district development package amounting to Rs.360 billion has been given under this package Rs.20 billion 60 crore has been allocated for district Attock and work on 93 schemes was ongoing while in Attock 42 new projects amounting to Rs.5 billion 20 crore were in the pipeline. PTI government has given a development budget of 56 billion rupees to district Attock since 2018 to till date whereas in previous governments from 2013 to 2018, Attock was given only 20 billion development budget. The CM said welfare projects for the people of Attock and to overcome their problems and in order to meet felt needs all possible resources would be provided adding that it was our responsibility to serve the people of the backward areas. Usman Buzdar said Attock city has a unique historic importance and this city is a gateway to Punjab and also close to our hearts. Attock city has been a fortress of Tehreek-e-Insaaf and would continue to remain so. CM said Punjab has a literacy of 64 percent while Attock has 69 percent literacy rate and ratio of girls schools is more than the boys schools. Attock has three universities and 18 colleges. Usman Buzdar said six universities had been established in Punjab and approval of nine more universities has been accorded by the cabinet in which Attock university was also included. Punjab government was working on the establishment of 21 universities. CM said the government of Punjab has launched the project of Sehat Insaaf Card in two divisions and soon Sehat Insaaf Card would be launched in other seven divisions. Under the revolutionary project of Sehat Insaaf Card, 330 billion rupees would be spent in three years and this project is a unique one under which every card holder and his family would be able to avail the latest medical care facilities from private hospitals free of cost. CM said eight mother and child hospitals were being established in different districts of Punjab and Attock was also one of them.

Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar went to the residence of Qazi Ahmad Akbar, District President Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf in Attock and expressed grief and deep sense of sorrow over the death of his father Qazi Khalid Mehmood. The CM offered Fateha and prayed for the departed soul. No proof that the Daughter of the Afghan envoy was abducted: police

The police of Islamabad claimed they had discovered no proof that the ambassador’s daughter in Afghanistan had been kidnapped.

In Islamabad on Monday, Islamabad Qazi Inspector General (IGP) Jameelur Rehman stated in a news conference accompanied by foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and national security advisor Moeed Yusuf that the authorities had set up a number of teams to investigate the situation.
