Me, who spent several years rotating Bleach characters in my mind and still feels an overall sense of nostalgia and love towards the universe and the characters: I hate Bleach so fucking much do not read this manga

#Made the mistake of checking out the anime when I should've just pretended it ended with Rukia's bankai #And God they made the ori/hime stuff even more gross. Kubo needs to die for his attitude towards female characters #bleach rambles #It started out so promising especially coming right off the back of watching Naruto and it's treatment of sakura #But ori/hime literally gets the sakura treatment but worse. Rukia is not enough to make up for it #Especially when she's also getting screwed over for being a female character #The bar was on the floor and they cleared it for the first 100 chapters or so then slowly dug their way down to hell #It's so insidious like the sexism isn't obvious in the characters but it seeps it's way through the narrative infecting everything
