I had so much fun drawing/animating this! Aside from loving Yamato (who deserves some joy, sweet boy), I have a very soft spot for the location in which the story unfolds (I won't tell!).

The flower depicted here is the astounding Centaurea cyanus, a beautiful bright blue flower that grows in meadows and that is used in herbal medicine for its distinct ocular anti-inflammatory properties!

Did you know that fresh flowers were worn by young men in love on the buttonholes of their jackets? If the flower withered too fast, it was said their love was one-sided!

- If you're interested in commissioning me, I still have some spots open for a limited amount of time (I'm about to move and start working as a researcher. It'll probably be quite intense at first, so I may temporarily close my commission windows or be a bit more delayed than usual!).

I will focus on the little things that got lost after posting it (stupid tumblr definition)

So let’s begin!

When I started drawing this scene I really had i mind how Yamato would look being alone with his plants. I feel he’s an introvert and for that reason he doesn’t mind spending hours taller to his plants!

I wanted to give some so many details as I could, so I started to think how many things there are in a lab/office.

From left to right!

I really love the white board! I like to think that Yamato in his free time likes to solve physics mysteries and the truth behind parallel universes.

A little close up (because tumblr decided to make my main pic smaller)

About the post its!

During high school I had everything organized with post its and little notes and different markers (i was that kind of girl)... so I like to think that Yamato classifies his tasks by color and once he’s done with one, he removes it.

Then we have the machine that Yamato uses for his work (I have no idea how is it called). In top of that machine, Yamato has all the information he has found about the Kyubi killer. I like to think that Yamato is very fond to Kakashi and he wishes to find the killer so much as him.

The little note actually says Kyubi ❤️

After that we have the big bookshelf where Yamato keeps all of his plants!

I had the idea that Yamato keeps the one with less care on the top and in the middle the ones that need more attention.

There’s actually a light (kind of the one you use for fish tanks) to give enough light to the little ones.

There’s a carnivorous plant with little dead flies around!

In that same shelf we have Yamato’s notebook, where he registers all the plants that Kakashi has given him (and equally the same amount of favors!)

Sometimes Kakashi likes to leave passive-aggressive notes in there.

It says f*cker and a smiley face 😂❤️

And finally!!!

Kakashi is really amazed by how good Yamato is with his plants! He hasn’t lost a single one, even he tried to make sure to get the worst plant he could get so he could break his impeccable record!

So in appreciation of his hard effort, he made a little plate that says:

#1 Plant Savior — K. H. :)

Aaaand that’s all!!! Or at least about my favorite parts!
