May 20: Current Projects

Here are some updates on my current high-priority fics or projects:

New Man: So I still haven't written the epilogue or intros but I really don't consider that to be a huge deal. Once that's done, this story is officially leaving the 'current' list and going into the vault. I'm not going to edit it right now and I'm not in a hurry to post it. I need some space for it before I can evaluate it enough to edit.

Blake Siblings Summer AU: Among all my one-shot ideas, this one is the closest to actual writing. As I mentioned yesterday, one of the two story lines is pretty close to ready but the other is very shaky still. I actually have even less for it than I thought I did. So it will need at least 1-2 more planning sessions. I could probably write the first scene before figuring out the rest of the Bellamy-plot but I need a better sense of the style and mood. So in other words, overall pretty close but not quite there.

SGAU: Literally the only thing I've done on this one since signing up for WIP Big Bang is look through some of my drafts and think to myself 'yeah that's cool.' And I wrote a Love List for it lol. So.... still putting off really getting into it. Maybe I'll take a day this upcoming week and just... see where I am. I'm still really excited for this fic but it just needs a real push and I feel too... chronically tired? to do that.

Millamy Road Trip: The good news is that I had a really productive brainstorming session for this one that really developed the idea and turned it into something more than just Vague Vibes that I was about to give up on entirely. The bad news is that it has become vastly more complex. More interesting! But more complex. Why do I do this to myself? So. I don't know what's going to happen with that. Right now it's still fun to plan and still very much in the planning stages.

Other fic that's been on my mind:

MSCL Headcanon Story: I enjoy brainstorming for and planning this! I don't know that I'll ever write it. I don't know that I know how. What I really want is to be able to read it, AND to be able to read it as if I had written it--my style and to my exact specifications--but... the difficulty.

#the year 2023 #2023: writing projects #honestly wish that well first this fandom wasn't dead but in particular that there was #an audience for rare pairs and gen etc #i mean there was never a big audience but now it's even worse #and that's what all my ideas are and *i* like them #oh well i write for myself anyway i guess....
