Okay, so into the cave we wander we should all know about? Is it a song released in 2016? 2017? As a promotion for young animals. Vinyls and cassettes are rare, but my god, i want one (my fav song for yearsss and i want it as much as i want bullets). Well, for the last few years, I've known about the second track called Pogi's Cavern. I have looked for the recordings (tbf inconsistly) for YEARS. Since then, I have found a recording. Two different recordings by different people of it. One posted on reddit 8 years ago, one posted on YouTube 4 years ago. Apparently, he recorded it just with pitch distortion (according to a comment I found, but if someone knows a source, that'd be cool). The lyrics are on genius, and since both sound the same, i think this is the recordings.

i would love love love to be a fly on the wall for that gambling ring gerard was once invited to play a round of poker with. this was during revenge, frank spoke about it on his podcast, about how he tried to go with gerard but some security dude flashed a gun at him, so he just turned around and left lmao.

there’s a lot of speculation on whether or not gerard had this alllll planned from the release or tbp album or the beginning of the swarm tour. this is my perspective.

artists who do stories and lore and universes sit there and think about all the little aspects and bits of background. for example, gerard published a prequel umbrella academy comic book just about klaus’s young adulthood. i’m sure the same could be done for all the other characters; he knows what happened to each of them and their motivations. the world is deeper than the level of the comics, but we’ll never get every ounce of that. we’ll never know little things, like what allison’s favorite ice cream flavor is, but gerard knows. hell, we probably will never know some big things, the world is too big for one person to publish in a lifetime.

chances are it’s the same thing with the black parade lore. there’s a basic outline for the album and music video because they can’t just fuckin monologue and lore dump for two hours and drop it as an album. it’s just the surface level plot and concept.

things like that live in your head for YEARS. since the release, they’ve probably stewed in the thought of it on and off for the last 18 years. probably even longer than that, before the album was written. the album was about the patient, this new concept is about the band. the time in between the two was the death of the band. there’s a complex timeline. there’s a google doc somewhere on his computer with tons characters that could tie in to this side of the story, and they’ve taken that and displayed it during the swarm tour.

the truth is that both perspectives are right. it was all some big plan, but it also probably wasn’t. it was a what-if, the thing you think about when you’re laying in bed, what you imagine when you’re bored in the car, whatever.

i’m not in their head or anything, but as an artist, i know that my works never stop evolving. my worlds are always expanding and i’m connecting dots i never even realized were there.
