BIOGRAPHY.

you survive the way many children left behind do in lunemire: stealing scraps, petty crime, pickpocketing the clueless, wiping the blood off your face and getting right back up when someone shoves you down. some might say you've ended up right where you belong – no matter your path, you would always end up here. in the beginning, it wasn’t so much wanting justice as poor decisions that led you to the mire rats – lost souls are everywhere in lunemire, and you were are no exception.

you are born fighting. you are a survivor at heart, as determined as you are reckless – predestined for greatness but the cost is just as bloody. born into poverty alongside your older brother, Mateo – abandoned in the dark alleys long forgotten in lunemire. surrounded by addiction and death, the two of you learn quickly that no one cares for the weak. you are a product of your upbringing - you see the world in red. blinding anger towards all that is wrong in the streets of your city, all that is wrong with you. you busy yourself, bruising your fists, drowning your sorrows in the form of warm, stale beer, warming your bed with a woman you don’t know, licking your own wounds. trails of blood are left as the smallest thing will set you off, and you quickly earn a reputation in these streets.

you'd never admit that you idolized your brother for as long as you can remember. the two of you could not have been more different -- in hindsight, maybe it was jealousy and not idolization. maybe it was both. he excelled in just about anything first try, he was wise, inclusive, and kind – everything you weren't. you were brash, he was pensive. he was responsible, and you were a connoisseur when it came to digging your own grave. you follow nothing but a reckless, impulsive desire to do as you please, damn the consequences that might follow. and he always seemed to be the one to clean up those messes – bailing you out of more nights with the sentinels than you can count only to get the cruel venom and berating from you in return. you had been hardened into a shell of what you could have been, smuggling drugs and thinking you’ve gotten away with taking a small portion for yourself (you never do, only to get your ass beaten in back rooms for it in the end), working dirty jobs just to get by.

mateo had always been the better person, optimistic in a way you had never been. he found a life in lunemire, one humble but enough for him and at the time you’d found him nothing short of stupid for it. he worked in the mines and welcomed a son into this shitty world while people died on the streets – one of which had been his wife, while those in solspire drank from fine glasses and ate caviar. while he grew up and found some peace, you became just like the rest of those sorry souls that succumb to life in the city – fueled by anger, finding comfort in the pits and the blood in your mouth, running around with dangerous people while that tightrope you walk got thinner and thinner because of it.

you are twenty-seven when he dies, a coal mining accident – so they say. you’ve always been something of a skeptic when it came to true motives, heard the whispers that float around about something rising, the groups that run the streets – you always rolled your eyes at the notion of it, of a group of people thinking they’re the ones that will change the way things are. you are twenty-seven when you take your nephew, noah, under your wing, feeling completely upended into this new role as parent – though you fail at this, too.

four years later when you think you have finally gotten a hang of it all – a shifty routine that you’d never thought you’d have – opening the underground, collecting revenue from the fights and hanging up your wraps for the time being while you raise this kid who looks and acts too much like the brother you fought with for so many years prior. you’re hardly a good role model but you try, figure if the kid comes home with his head attached each night maybe you’re doing fine. and then he comes home with a cough that doesn’t go away, sweats that mat curls that look like yours to his skin in an ugly fashion – and just like that, he’s gone. you aren’t sure where he got it from, who he got it from, but after you bury him you aren’t sure you care too much about that at all.

for a long time, you spiral – that small reprieve you had, the facade of playing house like you could ever have a normal life, dissipates before you like water to a fire. you are exactly where you knew you’d end up all those years ago – blacked out in alleys, bloody knuckles and ugly scars from fights you don’t remember, unaware if bruises or hickeys stain your skin.

you’re half stoned half drunk when he finds you. tells you to get the fuck up, to put all that anger to use. there’s another war coming, so you hear. you laugh wryly at the notion – why should i give a fuck about that? you ask. because you’ll end up exactly like mateo and noah if you don’t, he says.

at first, you fight the idea. you refuse to be a part of something that thinks they can make a change – but then you start hearing of what they’d found in the mines. how maybe they’d covered something up, maybe mateo’s death was a part of something bigger than you and your ego, this illness that had taken your nephew spreading across the city. eventually, you join them – you’re sharp, you know how to keep people in line with a force and a strong presence and anger you’ve always had, you fight first and ask questions later – if a job requires bloodied teeth and split fists, you will do whatever it takes. you find yourself a purpose again, and this time, you'll make sure those responsible pay the price.

LUNEMIRE. lux has something of a reputation, it wouldn’t surprise me that they know the people they grew up around. drinking buddies, people they’d taken from, enemies they’ve made. petty rivalries, people they’ve sold to, people that knew their brother/nephew. SOLSPIRE. i love a little drama…. lux is very classically a hater of anyone from solspire, especially those that choose to visit lunemire as though it were a tourist destination. will their mind ever change? unlikely. THE UNDERGROUND. regulars, fighters, anything of the sort. maybe some people from lux’s own pit fighting days that followed them here when they opened. MIRE RATS. being the second in command, lux is a no holds barred kind of person and is unlikely to sugarcoat things – if you’re fucking up, you’re paying the consequence for it. members that go with them on missions and things of the like. open to any connection here, whether lux recruited them or otherwise. they’ve been in the group for a little over a decade at this point i believe (don’t make me do math…… i’m just here for vibes…..) OLD TROUBLE. sort of tied to those from lunemire – people lux has screwed over in the past, people they still owe debt to, people that have beef with them for whatever reason, flings that ended badly, literally any antagonistic connection. they're an ass. Inaugura Congreso foro “El Derecho a la consulta de las personas con discapacidad”

diputada Gloria Citlalli Calixto Jiménez destacó la importancia de conocer las necesidades de este sector para poder hacer las adecuaciones necesarias a los ordenamientos jurídicos, así como etiquetar recursos para que tengan una mejor calidad de vida. La presidenta de la Comisión de Atención a las Personas con Discapacidad del Congreso del Estado, acompañada por la diputada Angélica Espinoza García y los representantes de la Casa de los Pueblos de este municipio, encabezó los trabajos de dicho foro, este jueves en el municipio de Ayutla de los Libres, con el objetivo de difundir el derecho de las personas con discapacidad, a ser consultadas a través de metodologías especializadas y para cada tipo de afección.

La diputada Calixto Jiménez manifestó que este trabajo que realiza el Congreso por mandato de la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación es una apertura al diálogo y una oportunidad de crear nuevas historias y realidades para quienes forman parte de este sector. Destacó que en la LXIII Legislatura existe voluntad política, conocimiento, preparación, coordinación y múltiples esfuerzos para apoyar a las personas con discapacidad, pero también se requiere de la participación decidida de la gente en estos ejercicios ciudadanos, para que puedan externar propuestas, ideas y necesidades de los grupos vulnerables. La diputada informó, por último, que este es el segundo foro que se realiza para conocer

cómo las personas con discapacidad quieren ser consultadas, previo a los 12 que se llevarán a cabo en igual número de municipios de Guerrero, ya como parte de la consulta, que se realizará el próximo año. En su intervención, la diputada Angélica Espinoza García refirió que una parte sustancial de los derechos humanos es asegurar que el principio de universalidad les suceda a todas y a todos, sin distinción ni discriminación por origen étnico, género o discapacidad. “Se está procurando que, con base a la dignidad humana, todas las personas con discapacidad tengan derecho a la consulta para expresar de viva voz sus intereses, peticiones y necesidades, que permita construir, desde un diagnóstico cuantitativo y

cualitativo, la política pública que favorezca el mejoramiento integral de su vida”, abundó. También aseguró que como diputados tienen el compromiso de generar una agenda legislativa con perspectiva de derechos humanos y realizar ajustes específicos para que todas las personas tengan la certeza de que participar en la vida política del estado y del país es un pleno derecho. En su participación, Santiago Gutiérrez Pantoja, consejero mestizo, se pronunció a favor de redoblar esfuerzos para alcanzar una mayor coordinación interinstitucional que derive en mejor atención a este sector de la población. Al ritmo de cambias, boleros y música mexicana, la agrupación La Santa Lucía cerró las Noches de Gala del Festival Internacional de la Nao en su edición número 12.

Durante una hora y media de espectáculo, la agrupación que nació en La Placita de Los Angeles, California, conformada por hijos de inmigrantes latinos con raíces mexicanas, venezolanas , hondureñas, por mencionar algunas presentó su música al público asistente, en su mayoría jóvenes, que los siguen a través de youtube.

La Santa Cecilia fue subiendo poco a poco con sus canciones el ambiente del espectáculo hasta lograr parar de sus sillas todos los ahí reunidos con la “Cumbia Sampuensana” y seguirse con un popurrí de cambias; luego vino la parte bohemia en la que interpretaron las canciones de su nuevo álbum “Amar y Vivir”, sencillo del mismo nombre con el cual lograron la nominación al Latin Grammy en la categoría de Mejor Video Musial Versión Larga; de ahí le siguieron temas como “Nuestro Juramento”, “Odiame” “Mar y Cielo”, “Leña de Pirul”, y no podían faltar las rancheras de José Alfredo Jiménez como “Olvido”, “En el último trago” y “Un mundo raro”.

La Santa Cecilia, ganadora del latín Grammy 2014 por Mejor Album de Rock, hizo una pausa para dar paso a la clausura oficial de La Nao 12 que estuvo a cargo de la Presidenta Municipal, Adela Román Ocampo, quien dijo que el Festival Internacional de la Nao es parte importante de la actividad cultural y motivo de acercamiento y fortalecimiento de los lazos de amistad con naciones hermanas.

“Si este festival resultó bello y que lo organizamos a pocos días de haber llegado a la Presidencia Municipal con muy pocos recursos pero con mucho entusiasmo, el 2019 tiene que rebasar todas las expectativas”, aseguró Adela Román Ocampo, luego de darle a Marisol, vocalista de La Santa Cecilia, el estatuilla conmemorativa de la Nao 2018 y un rebozo bordado a mano elaborado por un artesano de Chilapa.

A su regreso al escenario, aclamados por el público cerraron con broche de oro con las canciones Mexico Americano” y “Como Dios Manda”.

Previo a la presentación, la agrupación ofreció una conferencia de prensa donde comentaron estar felices en Acapulco y presentar por primera vez su música en el Festival de la Nao, así que no lo pensaron dos veces en aceptar la invitación y Acapulco les pareció hermoso, ya que era su primera vez en el puerto.

Entre violencia eligen a agente municipal de Ixcotel

Con una riña inicial con que se intentó boicotear la actividad, se efectuó ayer la asamblea en la agencia municipal de Santa María Ixcotel para elegir a las nuevas autoridades auxiliares.

Poco después de las 09:00 horas, arribó un grupo de presuntos “porros”, encabezado por Iván y Omar Habacuc Sumano, quienes pretendían incidir en la elección, por usos y costumbres. Sin embargo, varios vecinos se opusieron, lo que derivó en una riña.

Elementos de las policías estatal y municipal detuvieron a al menos cuatro personas, entre ellos los cabecillas, tras lo cual la asamblea continuó sin contratiempos.

En la confrontación, elementos de la Policía Estatal intentaron impedir el trabajo de comunicadores y exigían identificación, bajo el argumento de que no se podían tomar videos o imágenes de los hechos, así como de los uniformados.

Al reclamar el reportero de esta casa editorial que no había ningún impedimento legal para que cualquier ciudadano grabara aspectos públicos, uno de ellos, que se identificó como el comandante Delfino Antonio, comenzó a intimidar con su celular al comunicador.

Posteriormente, los uniformados detuvieron a ocupantes de una camioneta con placas de circulación MMB-1766, del Estado de México, con varios jóvenes, únicamente por su aspecto de “cholos”. De inmediato los alrededor de 10 ocupantes fueron bajados del vehículo, pegados a la pared y revisados por los policías; al no hallarles ningún delito ni armas de algún tipo, les permitieron retirarse.

Alrededor de una hora después se reanudó la asamblea, bajo el régimen de Sistemas Normativos Internos, tras lo cual fueron electos Roque David Reyes Martínez como nuevo agente municipal de Ixcotel.

Asimismo, Juan Manuel Martínez como agente suplente; Evelia Silva López, como secretaria; Ana Caballero como tesorera; Jorge Prieto como Alcalde; Maura Mendoza como primer suplente y Ezequiel Guzmán como segundo suplente.

Después de las 15:00 horas la situación volvió a la normalidad en dicha agencia, perteneciente al municipio de Santa Lucía del Camino.

EL GANADOR

Como nuevo agente municipal de Ixcotel fue nombrado Roque David Reyes Martínez, mientras que Juan Manuel Martínez será agente suplente.
