Hello everybody! Guess who's back! If you remember me, then you know what bullshit this is. If you don't, then oh boy!

I'm so sorry that this chapter took so long. The good news is that it's about 42k long. That's a lovely little novella right there. With how crazy the world is right now, it feels bad to write a dark fantasy with a cornerstone of bad people in politics, but hopefully you will find some catharsis in this.

I know I did. I cried. A lot.

omg i have soooooo much call them brothers by @wutheringmights brainrot honestly,,, more rambling (partly spoiler-ish for the latest aka 21st chapter) under the cut, but 100% recommend reading the fic if anyone hasn't yet <3

holy macaroni the REVEAL,,,, and the LEAVING,,,,,, and the REUNION,,,,,,,,, god. i didn't know how to scream about it so instead i decided to draw some of it, kinda :'))

midway through the sketch, i had a sudden fixation on colour palettes and there were a lot of good ones but i kinda went 'wait a second, there are MINT PALETTES' so i looked for some and ended up mixing two called respectively 'old mint' (old man, old mint- *bonked*) and 'minty love' and a few colours from others mint palettes. basically a mess.

runner-ups/some that made me snort were 'call them brothers' (i was so sad cause the colors didn't fit the vibes, rip, but in the same challenge right before it there was also a palette called 'warriors' and it really gave me a whiplash ngl), 'oh, it's you', 'sincerity' (i love irony), 'witness', 'i'm still here', 'don't make me', 'don't you trust me?'

It’s been a bit since I posted any artwork but I haven’t stopped making it, I promise ~

I asked for drawing prompts a while back, and I got this one from @not-freyja : “Mask refusing to learn how to read (the poor “teacher” is your choice)”.

And I was like "well OBVIOUSLY now this has to be fanart for @wutheringmights ' glorious story, Call Them Brothers!" (Seriously, this is one of the best fics out there. It is not for the faint of heart, but it is SO GOOD. I would need to use so many more words to express how good CTB is, and maybe someday I will write all those words.) And ta-da! We have Spirit/the engineer trying and failing to get little Mask to appreciate the written word.

There's also no way you can tell this from the image quality but Spirit's schematic is in Spirit Track's Hylian, but I couldn't be bothered to translate an actual locomotive blueprint so it's just the text of the Royal Engineer's Letter that Zelda sends him.

Genuinely, I have no words. This is incredible. I love this song and I ADORE every bit of this comic. The visual of the boots from the hanged turncoats, the tangled red string (the bloody footprints!!), the COLORS, Spirit holding the knife— HONESTLY if I will just end up listing everything in this comic if you let me continue.

@ anyone who sees this and also likes complicated morally grey characters, I highly recommend @wutheringmights 's "Call Them Brothers," an amazing (lu) Hyrule warriors based fic that I've been in awe of by the amazing characterizations.
