Twilight because I had three copies of that book and managed to sell them for ten bucks each, and then I donated the money to the fundraiser at my school dedicated to building water pumps in Cambodia.

1:What is your name and does it mean anything? Shishido Ryou - Shishido - habitational name taken from a district in Hitachi (now Ibaraki prefecture), written with a variant character for ‘flesh’ and ‘door’. It is found mostly in northeastern Japan. Ryou - 涼 "cool, refreshing", 遼 "distant" or 諒 "reality".

2:How long have you known your best friend? A couple of years for Choutarou (since the time when we got close, I mean). For Gakuto and Jirou, since Hyōtei Elementary.

3:What position do you normally sleep in? I hug something - I have 5 pillows!

5:Who was your favorite teacher in high school and why? My history teacher, Hiruko sensei, was really kindly to me. He told me to pursue whatever I wanted to when I was uncertain. I will be indebted to him.

9:Have you ever given blood? YES I HAVE It was kind of cool and exciting - the entire team went together once. Choutarou was a little scared, which was kind of funny and cute I guess

10:Do you like the way that you grew up? I grew up around dogs and an older brother that called me a loser all the time, who now comes to hang out at the bar I work in and chat with me - not bad I guess!

11:Do you like your siblings? Why or why not? I think when we're young we usually don't get along great with our siblings - but hey, I trust that my older brother will be there for me when I really need him.

12:How did you meet your best friend and why did you become friends? Well, if it's Gakuto and Jirou, I met them in Hyōtei Elementary. We were pretty young back then; I can't believe we've been friends this long either. It seems like time just really flies by! If it's Choutarou then... We met, properly I mean, in the midst of the Tokyo Prefecturals. We became doubles partners, and we got really close. I'm really lucky to have Choutarou as a friend.

13:Name one movie that made you cry. UGH NEVER EVER LET ME WATCH GREEN MILE NEVER 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

21:Do you think you’d make a good parent? To a little boy, I would probably be a pretty alright dad... Teach him how to ride a bike and everything, maybe how to play some tennis if he likes. But I think I would make an overprotective anxious as heck father to a little girl. I would probably order a 5 meter radius around her to every male in Japan.

28:What is your favorite soda? OH YO DEFINITELY 100 PLUS! I like Pocari too; and Gatorade isn't bad I gues... Wait, are we even talking about sports drinks?

29:What is a strange talent that you have? Strange talent... If you mean strange as in, people wouldn't associate that kind of talent with myself, I guess it would be poker? I'm a professional online poker player. Recently I've also discovered I'm quite adept at bartending, too!

31:Why did one of your friendships end? Hmm... When I moved house I lost touch with a neighbor when I was 7. But I don't think we were THAT close, so it doesn't really make too big of an impact on me. I haven't lost friends that are really close to me, fortunately.

35:Have you ever been admitted to a hospital? Why? Oh yeah. I was pretty stressed out right before a tournament in second year. It was during exams period as well. I didn't really know it, but I overtaxed my body. I flopped in the middle of a practice match against Atobe. The entire team flipped their shit and Ochitari was the only one with presence of mind to call my mom on my cellphone

WOW okay last Friday night Jirou was a little high and he was nuzzling against Atobe drunkenly muttering in his ear and Atobe got totally red and spilled his drink on Gakuto who barrelled against Oshitari who had to go to the toilet to clean it up only he collided with Taki who shoved at Hiyoshi who bumped into Choutarou who was pushed back against Kabaji and KABAJI DIDN'T EVEN MOVE BECAUSE HE'S KABAJI AND IT WAS JUST SO FUNNY TO ME I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND WHY BUT IT JUST WAS

49:Where do you go when you’re sad? Hmm. I usually go running when I'm particularly upset, distracted or disturbed by something. If I'm actually angry - which is rare - I have a special place I go to. It has a good view of half of Tokyo or something.

50:5 random facts about yourself: 1) I don't mind being made fun of but if you make fun of my friends I will wreck you 2) I don't trust people easily, but Choutarou and I got close very fast 3) My brother used to braid my hair and put in flowers and ribbons when we were kids (SHUT UP) 4) I really like reading, a lot 5) It takes very little to irritate me, but it takes LOADS to get me angry!

I could technically do something like that but it's not really worth the risk of getting caught.

Minami, Akazawa, Tachibana!

Husband - This is was a toughie. Then, I sat down and thought about it over cleaning my sock drawer. Akazawa ended up being my pick. I feel like it would be a balancing act, and like, everything would be understood and yeah, Akazawa is really caring to the person he loves like sure he's loud, but he really, really supports his love and not to say Minami wouldn't, I'm just a little too similar to Minami //Bestfriend - Tachibana, I think, would be best friend. Tachibana, after all, is caring and treats his friends like part of the family anyway. We wouldn't be similar enough to count as siblings, but I do see it in a world where I would get along pretty well with Tachibana~Brother - Continuing from what I was talking about at the husband point, Minami would be my brother, yup. Minami and I are similar and I feel like he would be a really good brother and we'd be family like it would feel like it and we'd still have the room to have little sibling arguments.

i learned a lot today about how i ship this very nice ship. its a good ship

who wakes the other one up with kisses: probably marui if i had to choose but they don’t strike me as super lovey dovey. I bet they have a lot of sweet moments but early in the morning like that it’s like WAKE UP NERD!! (pillow fighting and yelling ensues)

who cooks for who: MARUI he is canonically a great cook and can make all kinds of delicious sweet things. jackal isn’t too bad himself, but mostly he just helps with small stuff and stays out of the way when marui is IN THE MARUI ZONE. hes really happy because he gets to personally taste all the good stuff marui makes.

who is the morning person/night person: marui gets up when the heck he feels like it. i think they both like sleeping in when they can but they have a lot going on and have to be punctual with tennis and work and BREAKFAST so probably they are morning people whether they like it or not.

who is the romantic one: JACKAL the bit from pairpuri and calling him partner and all i think he’s a bit of a sap where maruis like oho of course you’d be smitten with a GENIUS such as myself but he’s romantic in his own way when he remembers to be but its layered with teasing and his arrogant attitude so really only the people closest to him get to see how sweet he really is.

who is the top when it comes to sex: both? i want to say technically jackal but marui seems to boss him around a lot and sort of lead things so i feel like he initiates things a lot. most ships i dont really see a designated top/bottom im all about the switching here on hyouteiblue.tumblr.com

who would lead in ballroom dancing: marui would insist because he wants to show off his genius moves but hes probably not as good as he thinks he is so it mostly ends in awkward stumbling and WELL i never much liked dancing anyway. then they go raid the dessert table.

who is the more cuddly one: maruis not much of a snuggler he’s kind of like ok thats cool see you later bro. jackal does have his rare clingy moments and marui learns to accept it

who is the one to most likely pick the movie they watch: they fight over it a lot jackal likes old classic films and marui prefers action packed blockbusters and they insult each other tastes and argue over it until one of them gets bored or falls asleep. movie time is war

who is the one who would pay for dates: jackal most of the time i mean come on “this bill will be paid…. by jackal!!” (runs away super fast)
