have you ever loved someone but you aren’t sure of how you love them?

as in, you haven’t determined whether it’s just a deep, platonic affection? or a bond like that between soul mates, yet not necessarily in a romantic sense? or maybe you’re in love with that person, the kind of love where you yearn for all that a person is, and you, in turn, would give all of yourself to them?

how do you know when you’ve fallen in love? how can you be sure that it’s genuine and that you aren’t just lusting after something that you haven’t felt before? how do you know when it’s no longer a crush or fondness of a person, something that could fade? when does it hit you? what is that like?
