(विपुलांस) Vipulamsa: Broad shouldered

(गूढजत्रु) Gudhajatru: Fleshy collar bones

(वृत्त मध्यं) Vritta madhyam: Thin waist

(महाहनु) Mahahanu: Prominent cheek bones/jaw

In his youth he's described as having a shikha (ponytail) and strands that look like kakapaksha (crow feathers).

And in his exile he's described as jatadhari (having matted hair) and wearing valkal vastra (bark clothes) and not a dhoti or any other form of stitched clothes.

तुलसी विवाह: Facts, Tulsi Mantra And Beliefs

महाप्रसादजननी, सर्व सौभाग्यवर्धिनी,

आधि व्याधि हरा नित्यं, तुलसी त्वं नमोस्तुते।।

#ब्रह्मवैवर्तपुराण के अनुसार तुलसी (वृंदा) शंखचूड़ नामक असुर की पत्नी थीं। शंखचूड़ बहुत बड़ा अधर्मी था, लेकिन उसकी पत्नी सतीत्व का पालन करती थी। यही कारण था कि वह बहुत बलवान था और देवता उसको हरा नहीं पा रहे थे। भगवान विष्णु ने शंखचूड़ का रूप धारण कर तुलसी को छू लिया, जिससे उनका सतीत्व भंग हो गया।

भगवान #विष्णु के ऐसा करते ही #शंखचूड़ की शक्ति समाप्त हो गई। उसके बाद शिवजी ने उसका वध कर दिया। तुलसी को इस बात की जानकारी हुई, तो बहुत ही क्रोधित हुईं। उन्होंने भगवान विष्णु को पत्थर (#शालीग्राम) बनने का श्राप दे दिया।

भगवान विष्णु ने श्राप स्वीकार करते हुए कहा कि वह शालिग्राम रूप में पृथ्वी पर रहेंगे। तुम मुझको तुलसी के एक पौधे के रूप में छांव दोगी। उनके भक्त तुलसी से विवाह करके पुण्य लाभ प्राप्त करेंगे। इस दोनों का #कार्तिक #शुक्ल #एकादशी को विवाह किया जाता है। आज भी तुलसी नेपाल की #गंडकी नदी पर पौधे के रूप में पृथ्वी पर हैं, जहां शालिग्राम मिलते हैं।
