jaded irises brimmed with curiosity as the young stark rested her mass against the structural wall, slender fingers drumming a nonrhythmic cadence upon her fleshed forearm. cautious eyes followed the GOD’S movements. it was blatantly obvious of her discomfort, for her stiffened stature and paled skin were wide indicators. brooke haven had never been the woman to master the ability of masking her emotions; it was not in her biological code. the young stark was taught that honesty ceased all WARS; though perhaps her mother’s claim was merely a facade to prevent any disloyalty. 

and then he spoke. she had expected him to BELLOW in response, casting her aside to bid greetings to different actions. and yet, no such came. brooke blinked in a hastened fashion, thinly plucked brows furrowing. 

❛ i uh —— guess your motives. reasoning behind wanting to work with shield. the avengers. ❜ the woman nervously gnawed on her lower lip, tentatively advancing forth towards him. each step she took was more HESITANT than the last. 

❛ i just . . . wanna understand you, mr. laufeyson —— loki. i don’t know what you’re uh . . . comfortable with. ❜ she swallowed thickly.  ❛ i’m brooke. stark. it’s uh —— nice to finally meet you . . . officially . . .  on good terms. ❜
