Why does a 300 square foot studio cost 800$ a month but the 2 bedroom apartment I'm currently splitting that's 870 square feet ends up only being 650$ a month per person
And that is the cheapest studio I can find
#Like the place I'm at currently is 1300 but I'm splitting it in half with my roommate#Why is the shitty converted motel more expensive than the nicer apartment in a more convenient area#Like that studio has room for a bed in the living space and that's basically it#It doesn't even have a fucking oven#My dad was telling me that when he moved into town when he was my age he got a one bedroom apartment for 300$ a month including utilities#Banging my head against the wall#I wish I knew someone who wanted to become roommates because it's so much cheaper to get a bigger place and then just split rent#Actually yeah many aspects of my life would improve if I just had more than like one friend and 5 acquaintances#Vent

On the outskirts of Austin, Texas, what began as a fringe experiment has quickly become central to the city’s efforts to reduce homelessness. To Justin Tyler Jr., it is home.
Mr. Tyler, 41, lives in Community First! Village, which aims to be a model of permanent affordable housing for people who are chronically homeless. In the fall of 2022, he joined nearly 400 residents of the village, moving into one of its typical digs: a 200-square-foot, one-room tiny house furnished with a kitchenette, a bed and a recliner.
The village is a self-contained, 51-acre community in a sparsely populated area just outside Austin. Stepping onto its grounds feels like entering another realm.
Eclectic tiny homes are clustered around shared outdoor kitchens, and neat rows of recreational vehicles and manufactured homes line looping cul-de-sacs.
There are chicken coops, two vegetable gardens, a convenience store, art and jewelry studios, a medical clinic and a chapel.
Roads run throughout, but residents mainly get around on foot or on an eight-passenger golf cart that makes regular stops around the property.
Mr. Tyler chose a home with a cobalt-blue door and a small patio in the oldest part of the village, where residents’ cactus and rock gardens created a “funky, hippie vibe” that appealed to him. He arrived in rough shape, struggling with alcoholism, his feet inflamed by gout, with severe back pain from nearly 10 years of sleeping in public parks, in vehicles and on street benches.
At first, he kept to himself. He locked his door and slept. He visited the clinic and started taking medication. After a month or so, he ventured out to meet his neighbors.
“For a while there, I just didn’t want to be seen and known,” he said. “Now I prefer it.”
Between communal meals and movie screenings, Mr. Tyler also works at the village, preparing homes for the dozen or more people who move there each month.
In the next few years, Community First is poised to grow to nearly 2,000 homes across three locations, which would make it by far the nation’s largest project of this kind, big enough to permanently house about half of Austin’s chronically homeless population.
Tiny-home villages for people who have been homeless have existed on a small scale for several decades, but have recently become a popular approach to addressing surging homelessness. Since 2019, the number of these villages across the country has nearly quadrupled, to 124 from 34, with dozens more coming, according to a census by Yetimoni Kpeebi, a researcher at Missouri State University.
Mandy Chapman Semple, a consultant who has helped cities like Houston transform their homelessness systems, said the growth of these villages reflects a need to replace inexpensive housing that was once widely available in the form of mobile home parks and single room occupancy units, and is rapidly being lost. But she said they are a highly imperfect solution.
“I think where we’re challenged is that ‘tiny home’ has taken on a spectrum of definitions,” said Chapman Semple. Many of those definitions fall short of housing standards, often lacking basic amenities like heat and indoor plumbing, which she said limits their ability to meet the needs of the population they intend to serve.
But Community First is pushing the tiny home model to a much larger scale. While most of its homes lack bathrooms and kitchens, its leaders see that as a necessary trade-off to be able to creatively and affordably house the growing number of people living on Austin’s streets. And unlike most other villages, many of which provide temporary emergency shelter in structures that can resemble tool sheds, Community First has been thoughtfully designed with homey spaces where people with some of the highest needs can stay for good. No other tiny home village has attempted to permanently house as many people.
Austin’s homelessness rate has been rapidly worsening, and the city’s response has whipped back and forth... In October [2023], the official estimate put the number of people living without shelter at 5,530, a 125 percent increase from two years earlier. Some of that rise is the result of better outreach, but officials acknowledged that more people have become homeless. City leaders vowed to build more housing, but that effort has been slowed by construction delays and resistance from residents.
Meanwhile, outside the city limits, Community First has been building fast. [Note from below the read more: It's outside city limits because the lack of zoning laws keeps more well-off Austin residents from blocking the project, as they did earlier attempts to build inside the city.] In a mere eight years, this once-modest project has grown into a sprawling community that the city is turning to as a desperately needed source of affordable housing. The village has now drawn hundreds of millions of dollars from public and private sources and given rise to similar initiatives across the country.
This rapid growth has come despite significant challenges. And some question whether a community on the outskirts of town with relaxed housing standards is a suitable way to meet the needs of people coming out of chronic homelessness. The next few years will be a test of whether these issues will be addressed or amplified as the village expands to five times its current size.

The community versus Community First
For Alan Graham, the expansion of Community First is just the latest stage in a long-evolving project. In the late 1990s, Mr. Graham, then a real estate developer, attended a Catholic men’s retreat that deepened his faith and inspired him to get more involved with his church. Soon after, he began delivering meals as a church volunteer to people living on Austin’s streets.
In 1998, Mr. Graham, now 67, became a founder of Mobile Loaves and Fishes, a nonprofit that has since amassed a fleet of vehicles that make daily rounds to deliver food and clothing to Austin’s homeless...
Talking to people like Mr. Johnston [a homeless Austin resident who Graham had befriended], Mr. Graham came to feel that housing alone was not enough for people who had been chronically homeless, the official term for those who have been homeless for years or repeatedly and have physical or mental disabilities, including substance-use disorders. About a third of the homeless population fits this description, and they are often estranged from family and other networks.
In 2006, Mr. Graham pitched an idea to Austin’s mayor: Create an R.V. park for people coming out of chronic homelessness. It would have about 150 homes, supportive services and easy access to public transportation. Most importantly, it would help to replace the “profound, catastrophic loss of family” he believed was at the root of the problem with a close-knit and supportive community.
The City Council voted unanimously in 2008 to lease Mr. Graham a 17-acre plot of city-owned land to make his vision a reality. Getting the council members on board, he said, turned out to be the easy part.
When residents near the intended site learned of the plan, they were outraged. They feared the development would reduce their property values and invite crime. One meeting to discuss the plan with the neighborhood grew so heated that Mr. Graham was escorted to his car by the police. Not a single one of the 52 community members in attendance voted in favor of the project.
After plans for the city-owned lot fell apart and other proposed locations faced similar resistance, Mr. Graham gave up on trying to build the development within city limits.
In 2012, he instead acquired a plot of land in a part of Travis County just northeast of Austin. It was far from public transportation and other services, but it had one big advantage: The county’s lack of zoning laws limited the power of neighbors to stop it.
Mr. Graham raised $20 million and began to build. In late 2015, Mr. Johnston left the R.V. park he had been living in and became the second person to move into the new village. It grew rapidly. In just two years, Mr. Graham bought an adjacent property, nearly doubling the village’s size to 51 acres and making room for hundreds more residents.
And then in the fall of 2022, he broke ground on the largest expansion yet: Adding two more sites to the village, expanding it by 127 acres to include nearly 2,000 homes.
“No one ever really did what they first did, and no one’s ever done what they’re about to do,” said Mark Hilbelink, the director of Sunrise Navigation Center, Austin’s largest homeless-services provider. “So there’s a little bit of excitement but also probably a little bit of trepidation about, ‘How do we do this right?’”
What it takes to make a village
Since he moved into Community First eight years ago, Mr. Johnston has found the stability that eluded him for so long. Most mornings, he wakes up early in his R.V., feeds his scruffy adopted terrier, Amos, and walks a few minutes down a quiet road to the village garden, where neat rows of carrots, leeks, beets and arugula await his attention.
Mr. Johnston worked in fast-food restaurants for most of his life, but he learned how to garden at the village. He now works full time cultivating produce for a weekly market that is free to residents.
“Once I got here, I said, This is where I’m going to spend pretty much my entire life now,” Mr. Johnston said.
Everyone at the village pays rent, which averages about $385 a month. The tiny homes that make up two-thirds of the dwellings go for slightly lower, but have no indoor plumbing; their residents use communal bathhouses and kitchens. The rest of the units are R.V.s and manufactured homes with their own bathrooms and kitchens.
Like Mr. Johnston, many residents have jobs in the village, created to offer residents flexible opportunities to earn some income. Last year, they earned a combined $1.5 million working as gardeners, landscapers, custodians, artists, jewelry makers and more, paid out by Mobile Loaves and Fishes.
Ute Dittemer, 66, faced a daily struggle for survival during a decade on the streets before moving into Community First five years ago with her husband. Now she supports herself by painting and molding figures out of clay at the village art house, augmented by her husband’s $800 monthly retirement income. A few years ago, a clay chess set she made sold for $10,000 at an auction. She used the money to buy her first car.
“I’m glad that we are not in a low-income-housing apartment complex,” she said. “We’ve got all this green out here, air to breathe.”
A small number of residents have jobs off-site, and a city bus makes hourly stops at the village 13 times a day to help people commute into town.
But about four out of five residents live on government benefits like disability or Social Security. Their incomes average $900 a month, making even tiny homes impossible to afford without help, Mr. Graham said.
“Essentially 100 percent of the people that move into this village will have to be subsidized for the rest of their lives,” he said.
For about $25,000 a year, Mr. Graham’s organization subsidizes one person’s housing at the village. (Services like primary health care and addiction counseling are provided by other organizations.) So far, that has been paid for entirely by private donations and in small part from collecting rent.
This would not be possible, Mr. Graham said, without a highly successful fund-raising operation that taps big Austin philanthropists. To build the next two expansions, Mr. Graham set a $225 million fund-raising goal, about $150 million of which has already been obtained from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation, the founder of the Patrón Spirits Company, Hill Country Bible Church and others.
Support goes beyond monetary donations. A large land grant came from the philanthropic arm of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, and Alamo Drafthouse, an Austin-based cinema chain, donated an outdoor amphitheater for movie screenings. Top architectural firms competed for the chance to design energy-efficient tiny homes free of charge. And every week, hundreds of volunteers come to help with landscaping and gardening or to serve free meals.
Around 55 residents, including 15 children, live in the village as “missionals” — unpaid neighbors generally motivated by their Christian faith to be part of the community.
All missionals undergo a monthslong “discernment process” before they can move in. They pay to live in R.V.s and manufactured homes distinguished by an “M” in the front window. Their presence in the community is meant to guard against the pitfalls of concentrated poverty and trauma.
“Missionals are our guardian angels,” said Blair Racine, a 69-year-old resident with a white beard that hangs to his chest. “They’re people we can always call. They’re always there for us.”
After moving into the village in 2018, Mr. Racine spent two years isolated in his R.V. because of a painful eye condition. But after an effective treatment, he became so social that he was nicknamed the Mayor. Missional residents drive him to get his medication once a week, he said. To their children he is Uncle Blair.
Though the village is open to people of any religious background, it is run by Christians, and public spaces are adorned with paintings of Jesus on the cross and other biblical scenes. The application to live in the community outlines a set of “core values” that refer to God and the Bible. But Mr. Graham said there is no proselytizing and people do not have to be sober or seek treatment to live there.
Mr. Graham lives in a 399-square-foot manufactured home in the middle of the village with his wife, Tricia Graham, who works as the community’s “head of neighbor care.” He said they do not have any illusions about solving the underlying mental-health and substance-use problems many residents live with, and that is not their goal.
“This is absolutely not nirvana,” Mr. Graham said. “And we want people to understand the beauty and the complexity of what we do. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else on the face of the planet than right here in the middle of this, but you’re not fixing these things.” ...
From an experiment to a model
Community First has already inspired spinoffs, with some tweaks. In 2018, Nate Schlueter, who previously worked with the village’s jobs program, opened Eden Village in his hometown, Springfield, Mo. Unlike in Community First, every home in Eden Village is identical and has its own bathroom and kitchen. Mr. Schlueter’s model has spread to 12 different cities with every village limited to 50 homes or fewer.
“Not every city is Austin, Texas,” Mr. Schlueter said. “We don’t want to build a large-scale village. And if the root cause of homelessness is a loss of family, and community is something that can duplicate that safety net to some extent, to have smaller villages to me seemed like a stronger community safety net. Everybody would know each other.”
The rapid growth of Community First has challenged that ideal. In recent years, some of the original missional residents and staff members have left, finding it harder to support the number of people moving into the village. Steven Hebbard, who lived and worked at the village since its inception, left in 2019 when he said it shifted from a “tiny-town dynamic” where he knew everyone’s name to something that felt more like a city, straining the supportive culture that helped people succeed.
Mobile Loaves and Fishes said more staff members had recently been hired to help new residents adjust, but Mr. Graham noted that there was a limit to what any housing provider could do without violating people’s privacy and autonomy.
Despite these concerns, the organization, which had been run entirely on private money, has recently drawn public support. In January 2023, Travis County gave Mobile Loaves and Fishes $35 million in American Rescue Plan Act funds to build 640 units as part of its expansion.
Then four months later came a significant surprise: The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development approved the use of federal housing vouchers, which subsidize part or all of a low-income resident’s rent, for the village’s tiny homes. This will make running the village much more financially sustainable, Mr. Graham said, and may make it a more replicable blueprint for other places.
“That’s a big deal for us, and it’s a big deal on a national basis,” Mr. Graham said. “It’s a recognition that this model, managed the way that this model is, has a role in the system.”
Usually, the government considers homes without indoor plumbing to be substandard, but, in this case, it made an exception by applying the housing standards it uses for single-room-occupancy units. The village still did not meet the required ratio of bathrooms per person, but at the request of Travis County and the City of Austin’s housing officials, who cited Austin’s “severe lack of affordable housing” that made it impossible for some homeless people with vouchers to find anywhere else to live, HUD waived its usual requirements.
In the waiver, a HUD staffer wrote that Mr. Graham told HUD officials over the phone that the proportion of in-unit bathrooms “has not been an issue.” But in conversations with The Times, other homeless-service providers in Austin and some village residents said the lack of in-unit bathrooms is one of the biggest problems people have with living there. It also makes the villages less accessible to people with certain disabilities and health issues that are relatively common among the chronically homeless....
Mr. Graham said that with a doctor’s note, people could secure an R.V. or manufactured home at the village, although those are in short supply and have a long waiting list. He said the village’s use of tiny homes allowed them to build at a fraction of the usual cost when few other options existed, and helps ensure residents aren’t isolated in their units, reinforcing the village’s communal ethos.
“If somebody wants to live in a tiny home they ought to have the choice,” Mr. Graham said, “and if they are poor we ought to respect their civil right to live in that place and be subsidized to live there.” But he conceded that for some people, “this might not be the model.”
“Nobody can be everything for everyone,” he said.
By the spring of 2025, Mr. Graham hopes to begin moving people into the next phase of the village, across the street from the current property. The darker visions some once predicted of an impoverished community on the outskirts of town overtaken by drugs and violence have not come to pass. Instead, the village has permanently housed hundreds of people and earned the approval and financial backing of the city, the county and the federal government. But for the model to truly meet the scale of the challenge in Austin and beyond, Chapman Semple said, the compromises that led to Community First in its current incarnation will have to be reckoned with.
“We can build smaller villages that can be fully integrated into the community, that can have access to amenities within the community that we all need to live, including jobs and groceries,” Chapman Semple said. “If it’s a wonderful model then we should be embracing and fighting for its inclusion within our community.”

you were at a party that your friend steve rogers had invited you to. you thought it was gonna be a normal party like the ones he would also invite you to but you were surprised when you came to realize it wasn’t just a normal party, the avengers were there
“wow steve, this is some party” you said as you walked by his side, “and you live here too? with the avengers” you chuckled slightly to yourself
“yeah but it’s not really that big of a deal i guess” steve shrugged as he looked over at you. “steve you’re literally the captain america, not a big deal my ass”
he laughed as he put an arm around your shoulders as he went to introduce you to all the other members of the avengers
you talked to all of them and they were all nice and interesting people with some interesting backgrounds too. you and wanda really hit it off, you both found out you had a lot in common. “i think i just found my new best friend” you chuckled while sitting at a bar with steve. “wow so you’re just gonna ditch me like that?” he gave you a small smile while shaking his head
“that’s how i feel with you and bucky” you rolled your eyes playfully, taking a sip of her drink. “you got me there, but you know i love you both equally”
“yeah yeah, whatever you say” you playfully rolled your eyes at him again
after the party everyone went back to their rooms or went about their business. you just finished helping steve clean up as you said to him, “wow, it’s really dark outside”
“yeah, are you sure you want me to drop you home still or you can stay here for the night?” steve looked over at you, leaning against a counter top.
“i mean yes, i don’t really want to be a burden” you laughed slightly. “you won’t be and i don’t want you being alone this late at night”
“im always alone at night, there’s no difference” you shrugged, giving him a small smile. “still” steve simply said
you sighed as you shook your head, “fine, okay ill stay” you said in defeat, “but where am i gonna stay?”
“well you could stay in the many guest rooms that tony has..” steve said as he begin walking into the hallway as you followed him. “..or you could stay in my room” steve stopped in his tracks as he turned to you, towering over you as you looked up at him
“o-oh, well i don’t wanna take up your space and stuff” your face began to heat up as you looked away nervously. “relax y/n, you know you won’t bother me” steve said as he rubbed your shoulder gently, “well if you say so then” you laughed nervously as you followed him back to his room
for some reason you felt a feeling that you thought you would never feel about steve, you felt.. nervous. you felt nervous to be around him right now but also with a hint of excitement of what the night holds
“do you want to change into something more comfortable?” steve asked after you both arrived to his room, which was basically like a studio apartment. it had a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom and bedroom, everything a studio could have
“yeah sure, this dress is starting to feel uncomfortable too” you laughed slightly as steve looked you over. he felt a weird feeling in his stomach as he took in your appearance, you look so beautiful right now, the way your dress hugged your body, your eyes, your everything. you just looked so phenomenal, the lighting hitting your face so perfectly, illuminating all your features
steve went into his room as you followed, as you both entered his room you looked around, taking in your surroundings. “wow it’s surprisingly clean in here” you chuckled to yourself as steve gave you a playful eye roll. “what” you shrugged, “back then you were very messy so i expected it”
steve handed you one of his shirt and a pair of one of his sweatpants. “these might be a little big on you but you can tie it”
you thanked him as you set the clothes on the bed. “i’ll leave the room so you can change” steve smiled as he turned away, “if you need help with anything, im on the other side of the door”
“wait, i kinda need help with my dress” you laughed awkwardly, “sorry, but i can’t reach the zipper”
“it’s not problem” steve said as he made his way over to you. he stood behind you as his hands went to the back of your dress, running his hands over the zipper
with a gentle, and painfully slow motion, he began to pull the zipper down. the sound was surprisingly loud in the quiet room, a soft, intimate rasp that seemed to echo
inch by inch, the fabric parted, revealing the smooth melanin and delicate skin of your back. Steve’s hands were steady but inside, a storm of emotions exploded
you tilted your head slightly, your hair moving to one side swiftly, exposing the nape of your neck. steve’s fingers lingered, his pulse quickening as he reached the small of your back. the air between the both of you was thick with unspoken words, with possibilities that neither dared to voice
finally, the zipper reached its end, and the dress loosened around you. you turned slowly, your eyes meeting his. there was a vulnerability in your gaze, a silent question hanging between the two of you. the distance was unbearable, yet neither of you moved, caught in the tension of the moment
“thank you” you murmured, your voice trembling just a bit. steve nodded, his throat tight, unable to trust his voice
you both stood there, in silence, the world outside the door forgotten.
you thought the silence was going to to continue as the night drifted away but your thoughts were cut short as a pair of lips captured yours in a deep but passionate kiss
the kiss speaking louder than the silence and the words that were caught in their throats.
steve pulls out of the kiss as he looks into your eyes. your eyes stare back up at him as he says “i’m sorry, i don’t know why i did tha-“, steve’s words were caught short as you kissed him this time
the kiss was the only answer steve needed as he kissed you back, moving his hands up to cup your cheeks.
you reach up to wrap your hands around his neck, your dress falling down from your body. steve’s hands move down to your thighs as he picks you up,your legs wrapping around his waist as he walks over to his bed, still kiss you
he laid you on the bed and stood back up and began to take his clothes off. as you watched him, you felt as if everything was moving in slow motion. the swift but slow movements of steve made you feel things in your stomach and her pussy
after getting rid of his clothes, he pulled down his boxers as his dick bounced back against his stomach. your mouth went dry as you looked at the size of him, it was like god sculpted steve himself, his muscles, his abs, the veins on his hands and his dick, everything about him was heavenly and beautiful, he was like a greek god
“i see you’re enjoying the view” steve smirks at you as he climbed back on top of you, his muscles flexing. “shut up” you give him a playful eye roll as he captured your lips in another kiss, biting your bottom lips softly, asking for entrance into your mouth
you let him in as his tongue explored your mouth, from top to bottom. he reached behind you with one hand and unclasped your bra, throwing it somewhere around the room
he starts kissing down your neck, to your chest and down to your stomach as his fingers played with the hem of your panties. “steve~” you whimpered his name as you bit your bottom lips. “it’s okay beautiful, i’m gonna make you feel good”
he slid your panties off and threw them to the side, grabbing his dick as his thumb rubbed around the tip, spreading the precum around the head of his cock
you grew more wet every second, watching his movements and how he’s slowly teasing her, it was turning you on more
steve slowly and steadily swiped the tip of his cock through your folds, earning a low gasp from you. he smirked to himself as he tapped the tip on your clit, earning another gasp from you. “already so sensitive hmm beautiful?”
“don’t worry princess i won’t keep you waiting any longer” steve said and then hes slowly pushing himself into you
“s-steve” you moaned as his length filled you up, already hitting your g-spot. he grabbed your thighs as he positioned himself better and slowly moving inside you
he moaned as he felt your walls clenched around him, as if choking him. he wanted to cum already, your pussy felt so good and warm.
“s-shit y/n” he moaned your name as his pace begin to speed up, your body starting to heat up more.
your legs are wrapped around his waist tightly, your arms wrapped around his neck and his back as you claws at his back, leaving marks all over it. marks he would look at later on and admire
“it’s so deep steve~” you moaned against his ear as beads of sweat dripped down the side of your forehead. “i know princess, i got you, gonna make you feel so good” steve moaned into your ear as his pace was fast and rough but not too rough to hurt her
“taking me so well doll, fuck~”
his thrusts got sloppy as your fingers gripped onto his hair and your fingers claw and scratched his back, the muscles flexing under your fingertips
“i-i’m gonna cum steve~” you whimpered into his ear as you felt the heat building up in her lower stomach. “me too princess, me too”
few strokes later you felt yourself clenching around his dick as you released all over his dick, moaning and crying out his name.
steve came a few seconds after you, moaning your name, mixed with curses as he fucked his cum into you, filling you full
you both breathe in sync while staring into each others eyes. steve leans down as he kisses you and nibbles at your bottom lip, smiling into the kiss
there was a knock at the door as you guys heard tony on the other side of it saying “keep it down please, some of us are actually trying to sleep”

i'm imagining all these yandere friends living in the same house which got me wondering.. what would their rooms look like? and does their MC live with them too
Ezra: The ever so edgy brat has an all black bedroom. His bed has a full canopy with black-out curtains and like 70 pillows. He has a drafting table and a huge bookshelf full of partially made miniatures for Eliana. Very tidy! Ezra would adore it if Sugar lived with them <3
Krow: Art. Art everywhere. It'd look more like a studio than a proper bedroom. Easels, paintings, tables with all kinds of art supplies, some work in progress sculpture being done. It may come as a surprise but he keeps it pretty tidy and organized. He would decorate it with whatever Dove decides to give him, his bed is pretty modest. But if Dove and him are in a relationship he would see to upgrade to a queen at least. :3
Ren: Constantly has the lights off and the AC going in his room, but it's purely for cooling down his laptop, 4 monitors, PC console and twin computer servers. And despite the amount of tech everywhere, his cable management is impeccable. Ren has a few horror/slasher movie posters on his wall, along with a large bed covered with a few 'Attack on Giant' plushies. If Angel wanted to live with him instead, he'd be more than willing take it all down and let them choose what decorations they'd like! ^^;
River lots of band posters and vinyl covers on the wall, random drumsticks laying about, and a bunch of workout equipment stored in a corner. River might be the messiest out of the bunch, but that's only because he forgets to make his bed every morning and bring out his empty sports drinks. he'd pass away on the spot if Bunny wanted to live with him, but he'd definitely rearrange his entire room so that it's more convenient for them and their preferences.
Eddie: A minimalistic room where the color theme is dark and basic, and everything is extremely spotless. Neat and ironed black bedsheets with grey and white fluffed pillows, dark wood and marble furnitures polished. The only personality this room has is pictures of his family on the wall and tables. It’s also extremely cold. MC would have to be in a relationship with him to move in with him and he wouldn’t mind letting them bring some stuff to personalize the room but only a corner until they can prove they’ll help clean their area.
Diva: Never has her actual light on so her room is always lit with led lights and neon signs. A huge magenta pink star shaped bed in the middle with pink ad black animal print sheets and star pillows to match (decorated with a ton of Sanrio and aquatic animal plushies)She has a gaming setup with 3 monitors and a classic pink gaming chair with the expensive gaming keyboard and mouse. Her room is usually a little messy with clothes strewn around the room and posters/photos around the walls. Diva would be ecstatic if MC wanted to live with her! But uh,,, there’s not much space for them to decorate ^^
Fone: probably something very cutesy, lots of animal plushies and fairy lights in his room so he always have his lights off. his bed is in the corner cause he's afraid of ghost and the room is big enough so that mallow has enough space for himself in the corner along with his electric guitar. he has a small table next to him that is brimmed with snacks and drinks and a shelf on top of said table filled with felt dolls he had made of his friends. it should gives you a comfy vibe... if it weren't for the 24/7 ac and mountain and mountain of unwashed clothes at the end corner of his bed smh
Illow: while they know ren can afford the ridiculous high amount of rent, they're still a very power-saving kind of person so based on the lights on their room alone you should know what they're doing. they're more goth-like with their true selves so their room is very dark, not all black like ezra but a more aesthetic pastel-muted type (think of asexual flag colors), they even have a giant kuromi plush right besides their bed. Have a few posters up on their wall, they're more for aesthetic purposes so if you asked them which potter house they belong to they won't know what you're talking about, they also have a lot of game consoles lying around, all of which are new models cause they're a collector.
Theo: His room looks… normal, pretty much. Other than, of course, his closet filled with pictures of his love… his decorations consist of movie and band posters and framed pictures of him and his friends. If his love lived with him… well, that’d be a dream come true, wouldn’t it? He’d constantly try and keep his room clean, just in case his love decided to poke their head in.

So, I'm proud today to say that I am now, very really and totally not exaggeratedly, a master carpenter. 😏
Ha. JK, obviously. But! I was able to fix two broken drawers in my room, one of which has been broken for well over five years, maybe closer to ten!
Basically, the bottom drawer of my dresser, where I hold my T-shirts, has been broken for almost as long as I can remember owning the dresser. Like, I honestly don't recall a time it wasn't broken, though I don't think it always was. Regardless, the drawer had been sagging down to the ground for years, but since it was near the floor it never fell out. I always just figured that it was broken forever and that I'd have no hope of fixing it, since I'm not really into carpentry or woodworking or anything, and just lived with it. It wasn't getting in my way, so it wasn't a problem.
But then, a month or so ago, the drawer under my bed that held my pajamas broke, and it's been kind of annoying, creaking and making me fear it's going to completely break off. Still, I figured it was just... broken for good, something I'd have to deal with and hope it didn't get worse.
However! I recently built two thin dressers for my room, since the plastic drawers I used to have for storage were breaking and I didn't have enough space for everything I own anyway. At first, building them seemed impossible, but once I got into the groove, I realized it... wasn't that hard?? And I actually was pretty good at it??? I'd also built a large metal storage container for my outdoor art studio on my patio a few months before that, and had had a similar experience, where it was hard at first but once I realized what I was doing (and stopped having my brother help me...), it was actually kinda easy.
So, today when I saw my broken pajama drawer, I randomly wondered if maybe I... could fix it? So I took it off, saw that it wasn't attached to the metal slide-y thingy at the bottom (I don't know what it's called, it's the thing that lets the drawer slide in and out, ha), and I tried to reattach it. And... it worked?? It took a couple tries, and I was afraid that it was broken for good when it didn't work at first, but I kept trying, and it just... worked????
With the PJ drawer fixed, I then turned to my T-shirt drawer, and was like... could I possibly fix this, too??? I thought surely not, since it's been broken for legit YEARS. Since I was a teen, easily. I've lived with it broken for so long it was almost a feature of my dresser, really. But I was curious, so I took the drawer out of the dresser to assess.
And it was clearly more damaged than my PJ drawer. It had a wooden slide-y thingy, and the part that was supposed to be attached to the dresser was, uh. Not attached anymore and was on the drawer itself. I saw that the two screws that had initially held the wooden slide-y thingy on the dresser were still at the bottom of the dresser, under where the drawer had been, so I set about taking the slide-y thing and reattaching it to the dresser itself. And then I tried putting the drawer back in.
Which... did not work. The drawer refused to go back on and it was just... not working right. It was actually leaning to the ground more than it had been before, which was frustrating, and I was annoyed with myself for making something that hadn't been a problem worse by trying to "fix" it. But now here I was, with this new problem, and I had to try to fix it at least to the previous level of broken, or else I'd go nuts.
So, I kept trying. I even got on the ground and used my phone flashlight to try and see what I was doing to get the drawer reattached properly to the slide-y thingy. And, guess what?
It worked. I now have a properly working dresser drawer for the first time in literally YEARS. I thought it was broken for good and just... never even thought to try and fix it. It legit never occurred to me before today that that was a thing I could even do. I'm not a carpenter. I don't build things or fix things. I make art and things, yes, but that's a different process entirely. And, quite honestly, I rarely make my art "properly," I just do things my own way and hope for the best.
But I had built a few things, and I realized that hey, maybe I can build and fix things. Maybe... maybe that is a thing I can do? And now I have two fixed drawers, something I never thought I'd have again, not without getting outside help.
I know this was ridiculously long for something very simple. But this really impacted me. I thought these drawers were just... broken for good. That I was helpless to do anything to fix them, because I'm "not someone who fixes furniture." I let myself deal with a broken t-shirt drawer for YEARS because I just... never thought I could fix it. And yet I did. On a whim when putting away my laundry, growing annoyed with the broken PJ drawer.
So. I guess the moral is... just because something seems broken for good, and you don't think you have the skills needed to fix it, doesn't make it true. Sometimes you just need to try, and trust that you can do something to fix something that has broken. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
#Long post#Personal post#So this got pretty long oof#I was originally going to post it to FB but it's too long for there#So now y'all can see my rambling nonsense#You're welcome#But seriously I am kinda proud of myself for fixing those drawers#The t-shirt one especially#I doubt anyone will actually read this but I just wanted to share somewhere#It's going to take some getting used to... not having a broken t-shirt drawer that is#I mean it when I said I legit don't remember a time it wasn't busted.#It also was kinda useful since it put more space between my t-shirt and pants drawers#But hey! At least it's fixed.

okay i have a question for the pack, bear with me-
what do everyone's beds look like? now hear me out, i know this probably sounds silly but i have good questions!
what kind of bed do the omegas have? a king? custom made to be really big? since they all sleep together, do they sleep squished or hsve enough space to not have to cuddle all the time?
also, do they have lots of teddies and pillows and blankets, on the bed? if so who has the most?
it's the same questions for the other members of the pack, what type of bed, how is it when it comes to multiple people sleeping in the bed? what extra things do they usually keep on their bed -if they do- like teddies or extra pillows?
here's an additional question: who has the most teddies out of all the members? my guess is felix or jisung!
"I love this question." You say genuinely, glancing around at your pack mates. "Because I really think someone's room can tell you so much about who they are as a person."
"Absolutely." Chan nods in agreement. "My studio space tells a lot about who I am as a producer, and it's the same with my room, although it's more personal."
"So." You grin. "Get ready to learn a whole lot about us that you probably didn't need to know."
"Let's get it." Jisung claps his hands and rubs his palms together, voice excited, expression determined.
Chan glances to Jeongin. "Let's start with the omegas' room, yeah? Cause you guys share with the most members."
"Okay!" Felix agrees excitedly, and Jeongin grins wide, his eyes crinkling.
Both the omegas look to Hyunjin, who takes it as his sign to start them off.
"We have a king bed. It's the biggest bed in the house currently cause, you know." He shrugs with a smile. "Three of us."
"Gives us enough space to spread out if we want or need, but we usually sleep cuddled up anyway in the middle, so it's not utilized probably as often as it could be." Felix laughs.
"Hey, it's nice when we all gather for a cuddle pile or movie night though." You point out, and the omegas nod. "We always use your room as a central gathering point if we don't wanna come to the living room."
"Basically, the bed is just a free for all?" Jeongin muses, looking thoughtful. "We don't like split it into three sections or anything. Everyone can just kinda input and put their stuff wherever."
"Jinnie-hyung picked out most of our decor and bedding and stuff." Felix continues, nodding now. "Because he loves decorating and he's awesome at it."
"Not like you can see the bedspread anyway." Hyunjin snorts in amusement. "The bed is always piled so high with blankets and stuffies and pillows that I don't know why I even bothered."
"Felix does indeed have the most stuffies."
Felix raises his hand shyly and everyone coos at how cute he is.
Hyunjin continues. "As far as personal space, we have our own dressers and share the big walk in closet equally. Everybody kinda has their own space in their own corner of the room, the bed is the only central part with everyone's shit really."
"We do however," Felix points out. "Keep a tote of used clothes from all the other pack mates in the back of our closet, easily accessible, in case one of us feels the need to nest and the blankets and stuffies aren't getting the job done."
"Oh yeah." Jeongin nods. "That's come in handy a few times."
"Jinnie-hyung's dresser is just overflowing with miscellaneous art stuff and skin and hair products. Plus all of his perfumes."
"Lixie-hyung's is covered in more stuffies, and some cute little statues the other member's of the pack have brought him from various trips. He also can't even use his mirror because there's pictures of all of us literally plastered all over it."
"Cute." You hear Chan say under his breath beside you.
"And mine," Jeongin thinks for a minute. "Mine is just a catch all for any shit I don't know what to do with-stray papers, accessories, stuff like that."
"It's a nightmare." Hyunjin shudders, and Felix chuckles.
"You guys have a really nice ambiance in your room though." You add, glancing between the omegas. "Like you always have a candle lit and soft mood lighting and the little canopy over the bed with the twinkle lights."
"Yeah, it's cozy." Jisung nods.
"Speaking of," Chan motions to the beta now. "Why don't you and Minnie go next, Sung?"
Jisung claps his hands and grins. "Cool. Beta Bros. Let's go."
Seungmin rolls his eyes.
"We have a queen bed, which is also what all the alphas' have in their rooms too. Basically gives us enough space for visitors and each other without feeling squished."
"Our room is dark, modern, sleek." Seungmin adds, and Jisung nods his head in agreement. "I don't like a lot of clutter, so the decor we do have is limited and purposeful."
"Yep." Jisung agrees again, before grinning. "Though my half of the room-"
Seungmin shakes his head in horror. "It's a pigsty. I can't even look at it."
"It's not that bad."
"It really is."
"We have a lot of books, because Seungmin is a nerd, and I love anime and comics." Jisung continues, ignoring the other beta now, even as he rolls his eyes once more. "Channie-hyung and Binnie-hyung built us modern, custom bookshelves a few years ago that line pretty much all the walls."
"We also have a lot of recessed lighting above the bed so that we can read at night without straining our eyes."
"Ooh, ooh!" Jisung gets excited again. "We also have snacks in the night stands, just in case, and I have a giant bean bag chair filled with soft cozy blankets and my KAWS stuffed animal collection. Perfect reading nook."
"And of course-" Jisung looks smug now. "We've got those cool remote controlled LED lights all along the ceiling that match to music and can be changed to any color. Usually red." He winks at Seungmin, who flips him off.
"I'll go next." You offer, once it's clear the betas' are done, and everyone looks to you. You shrug. "I don't know if I have a clear style really, but my bedroom is very minimalistic. I have some reading shelves and a desk area and it's all light natural woods and calming colors. I don't really keep anything on my bed, besides a few throw pillows and an extra blanket at the foot. The only thing I really collect is house plants, I have a bunch hanging from a corner of the ceiling, right above the desk, and a bunch in the bathroom and last year, the boys gave me a little plant shelf to sit in front of my big window, and I've slowly been filling that up too."
"Incense." Chan points out, glancing at you, and you nod.
"Oh yeah. I really like smells? So I burn incense quite a bit for different occasions and have a bunch of candles all over for different moods."
"Tell them about the wall above your desk." Jisung says gleefully, and you sigh, already feeling yourself blush.
"God, but it's embarrassing."
"It's cute." Chan reassures you, reaching out to cover your hand with his own.
"Fine." You sigh and roll your eyes. "The wall above my desk is covered in a kind of wallpaper that I designed myself. It has all of the members' scents listed out in their individual, complex chemical compounds in script. It's like nerdy and personal and fun at the same time."
"My turn." Changbin announces, throwing his arm over the back of the couch behind Seungmin. "My room is industrial. Lot of exposed metals in the decor, dark colors, low lighting. I like it to feel relaxing when I get home from school or work or the gym."
"I taught him the word industrial." Hyunjin points out proudly, and Changbin chuckles.
"Yeah, you did." He considers. "I have a work corner, that's like a mini studio at home for me to write and work on stuff when I have the time or inspiration? It's separated from the rest of the room by like this metal grate wall and the space is really cool. It's probably my favorite place to hang out by myself."
"He looks neat." You point out, and Changbin shoots you a glare. "But don't look in his closet cause he just shoves all his mess in there and it's a warzone."
"Oooh, he also has this really cool expensive sound machine!" Felix adds excitedly. "And he hides it in the corner behind this like little desk, room fountain thing, and so his room just always sounds like running water or rain or something else soothing."
"Yeah, I love having noise in there all the time, even when I sleep. Helps me focus."
"My room is Scandinavian, which I also learned from Hyunjin." Chan winks at the omega, who gives him a big grin and a thumbs up. "It's dark, exposed woods and metals and very simple. I love the look of wrought iron and untreated wood and so I've used that a lot in my shelves and bed frame and personal style."
"His closet is a black hole though." You chuckle, and Chan looks at you in betrayal. You shrug. "Not that it's a bad thing. It's exceptionally organized, just all one color."
"And he's a huge sap. He keeps every picture and every letter or note every member of the pack has ever given him in a drawer by his bed." Minho rolls his eyes and once again, Chan looks betrayed.
"It's cute." You bump his side and he rolls his eyes.
"Yeah, yeah." He goes on. "I also have a mini studio space in my room, but it's in a little loft area above the main room, above my bed. There's like a wooden ladder that goes up there and a wood and iron railing and it's super nice to just go up there when I need to work at home or clear my head."
"As far as my room goes-" Minho shrugs blankly. "A room is a room, a bed is a bed. I like my things put away where they go and everything kept simple."
"Hear, hear." Changbin nods, and Minho sighs.
"I allow two exceptions to this rule when it comes to my room. One," He holds up a finger sternly. "Recipe books. I keep an entire corner shelf for them. And two," He holds up a second finger. "Pictures of my cats that my parent's send me monthly. I frame all the new ones when they get here and add them to the gallery wall across from the bed."
"It's huge." Jisung nods reverently. "I've never seen so many cat pictures in my life."
"I also-" Minho adds. "-allow two orchids to inhabit the space of my windowsill. They're good for prosperity."
"Plus they're pretty." Jeongin chirps helpfully, and Minho sighs, but rustles the baby's hair regardless.
"Yes, they are very pretty."
"You have that little glass plant terrarium in your bathroom that holds your super old bonsai tree too." You point out, and Minho nods.
"Yes. Because I enjoy taking care of something so fickle, yet knowing that in the end, it will ultimately outlive me."
"Deep." Jisung nods appreciatively. "Is now a bad time to tell you that I used your little spray bottle to slick my hair the other day?"
"-My bonsai mister?"
"Is that what it was? Oops."
Hyunjin grins wickedly as Minho glares at his moonmate murderously.
"Looks like your bonsai tree is not only gonna outlive you, hyung, but now it's gonna way outlive Jisung too."

OKAY!!! SO!!! All the members on the Qsmp go to Quesadilla University who’s mascot is a silly yellow duck and a white bear affectionately (?) named Cucurucho
The Brazilian members are international students who come one semester to study there!! (Bagi comes a few semesters after the og five do because Forever and Cellbit kept talking to her about the school. Maybe her application was delayed to join) They all stay in the same dorm together because if they weren’t allowed too I think they’d set the University on fire (all six still have very…questionable pasts but they don’t talk about it lol)
Quackity introduced all the Brazilians to the English + Spanish players because they’re all in a program to help the new international students get use to being at the university/help them in any way they need.
Cellbit is a law student with a concentration in criminal law I think!! Same with Bagi I think she would be a law student (if you have more creative ideas tho feel free to let me know)
Felps is an art student, I think he’d do a lot of sculpting and has carved a massive fucking slab of marble into a perfect square by hand (hes fucking insane <33)
Tazercraft are both Science/Stem majors I think? Pac might have a focus on like chemical science though and Mike is more engineering????
Forever is a carpentry major (BUILDER!!) and minoring in Business (STONKSCRAFT!!) he’s super popular on campus btw… it’s because he’s so pretty and friendly with people like… look at him… you can’t not love him…
Cellbit runs the TTRPG/DND club on campus (their club room is right next to the Pride Center. this was not a mistake they specifically asked for that room) and the vice president is Slimecicle!! It’s a super fun and welcoming place, both of them love to scare the shit out of the new players with the role playing horrors <33 During Pride Month, Cellbit is exclusively referred too as the “Gay Master” and wears a mlm cape with a lil ace flag in it too :DD
Anyways, I mentioned they all dorm together!! Basically it has like one communal space and three smaller rooms/bedrooms (2 beds in each, last room has one bed). The communal space has a couch which can be turned into a bed and they all like to watch movies there together and destress :DD
One of the bedrooms was turned into a study room basically and Cellbit pretty much lives in there MABDHJFBAKAK he’s always studying or doing something on his laptop and the others check up on him sometimes. There have been multiple occasions where Forever was studying in there at like…4 am and Cellbit just walks in, climbs into Forever’s lap and just passes out. He’s like a cat he sleeps wherever he wants and we can’t do anything about it ://
Also if no one asks where Felps is he will just pass out in his studio inhaling clay fumes or whatever project he’s working on. He will simply vanish off the face of the planet (this is why the Brazilians all have a “family” group chat, yes Bagi got added to it even before she came to Quesadilla University)
#✉️ asks or whatever#🍽️ anon#⁉️ misc aus#NEW AU JUST DROPPED!! it’s been ages since I did one of these#qsmp au#anyways I think that’s all for now… I HAVE MORE THO!!#if you want it just drop me an ask :3c

I’m thinking about starting to write a wind breaker OC. I don’t know who I’m pairing him with yet but it’s going to be between Sakura, Kaji, or maybe someone else. Feedback would be appreciated!
“You demon. If it wasn’t for you your father would still be with me.” A women’s voice hissed out as she looked at the child in front of her. A child with midnight blue hair with two mismatched eyes stared up at her. Those damned eyes that held no light in them, only indifference as he stared at her. Her lips curled in a snarl before she pulled out a gun. “It’s all your fault.”
BANG
A vibration could be felt on the teenager’s pillow as his mismatched eyes opened slowly. ‘That dream again.’ He thinks before his face turns towards his phone upon feeling yet another vibration. He lets out a sigh as he reaches for it to see who was messaging him.
🎧: Wake your ass up and get ready for school.
🎧: And you better not smell like smoke.
He grumbles as he reads the texts before reaching for his hearing aid for his left ear and slipping it on. The world gets loud once again while he rolls out of bed to get ready for his first day at Furin High. He reaches for the smokes laying on his desk and opens up his window before taking one out and lighting it. He inhales the first hit of nicotine, holds it in and lets it out slowly. Upon hearing a noise below him he looks down and watches a kid around his age with two different hair colors walk down the street.
‘Huh.’ That’s not something you see everyday and he though his hair color was weird. He himself had natural midnight blue hair he got from his father. His mismatched eyes were a mix between his father’s and his mother’s. His left eye being grey and his right one being blue.
He feels and hears his phone go off with another message causing him he groan and flick the rest of his cigarette out the window. The bastard wouldn’t stop texting him until he answers him.
🎧: I can see you read my messages. Answer me you little shit.
💩: I’m up. Leave me alone to get ready.
🎧: Good. I’ll be there in twenty.
He throws his phone on his bed with an amused huff before throwing his clothes on. He wears the black uniform pants with a black slip on hoodie and his uniform jacket on top of it. He picks up his blue tinted sunglasses and slips them on over his eyes. He doesn’t know why he still chooses to wear them even though he and the person who gave them to him no longer speak to one another, not by his choice mind you. Maybe he has a problem with letting go of the past.
He pulls the hood of his hoodie up half way as he makes his way out of his room/living space. His apartment is basically a studio with a bathroom off to the side and a small kitchen. It was cheap for rent so he wasn’t complaining. He brushes his teeth in his bathroom to try and get rid of the smoke smell on his breath, he knows it will not work but he’s going to try anyways. Spitting in the sink he takes a moment to look at himself in the mirror, the four claw marks over his blue eye standing out on his skin. He looks most like his father which he’s grateful for.
He puts his deodorant on and sprays a cologne before he heads out towards his door to slip on his shoes. He’s slipping them on when he hears a banging on his door signaling the arrival of his friend.
“Kirishima! You better hurry the hell up!” He hears the voice of his long term friend, Kaji Ren And it causes him to laugh lightly. He was loud so Kirishima took that as a sign that he had his headphone shoved over his ears.
“I’m coming!” Even knowing he probably won’t hear it he couldn’t help but call back to him. He gives a lazy smile as he opens the door to meet a pair of blue eyes staring into his own. “Damn you’re loud so early in the morning.” He laughs at the narrow eyes he gets in return for his statement.

Inside "World's Most Ultra-Luxury Resort", At $100,000 A Night
This isn't a hotel where guests hide away in their rooms. Instead, they put on their trendiest beachwear, take selfies in front of the Bellagio-style fountains, go shopping in the Valentino boutique or book a cabana at one of several outdoor lounges.
From the moment you step through the front entrance, Atlantis the Royal puts on a show. Water pours down inside glass walls, while fire periodically flashes up. The pressure to post to Instagram is immediate, because you've arrived at the self-titled "most ultraluxury" resort in the world.
This isn't the world, though. It's Dubai, where "ultraluxury" has a specific meaning and nouveau riche aesthetics are giddily embraced. Wealth like this was made to flaunt, not accrue silently in savings accounts. Ultraluxury is over-the-top, clad with gold and marble.
That's what the $1.2 billion Atlantis the Royal, the latest property from Dubai-based hotelier Kerzner International Ltd., delivered with a "Grand Reveal" show in January starring Beyonce: And it's what guests have experienced since its 795 rooms opened in mid-February.
The journey of opulence begins in the hotel lobby, where the unifying theme of water (Atlantis, remember?) is hammered home with a towering aquatic sculpture and pool cutouts in the floor into which guests occasionally tumble. Check-in occurs at unmarked golden counters, which require constant buffing with microfiber towels to remove dreadful indicators of human presence such as fingerprints.
Company officials initially garnered headlines by saying the top-level suite, the Royal Mansion, would cost $100,000 a night. Now a spokeswoman is demure about the price, saying it's available upon request. And in February, Louis Vuitton booked the room for a private shopping event, so I couldn't visit. Instead, I was shown the Panoramic Penthouse, which took my breath away-starting at 135,260 dirhams ($36,825), plus 22% in taxes, it had better. Shampoos and other amenities in rooms come from Hermès, Frette and Graff. On one side of the hotel, guests have an unobstructed view of the blue-green Persian Gulf. The other side looks out over the fronds of the man-made Palm Jumeirah archipelago and the mansions of billionaires and royalty.
I stayed in a Seascape King, one of the basic rooms, but I use the term lightly. The studio starts at about 4,135 dirhams a night in high season. It's large enough for a king-size bed, lounger and desk, and spacious closets. The furniture is comfortable, and amenities in the grand bathrooms include golden toothbrushes, combs, a back scrubber, flip-flops and a beach bag, all of which can be taken home without charge.
For a resort promising that "something incredible happens at every moment of your stay," the basic rooms lack a wow factor. They're beautiful, sure, and the views are phenomenal. I was excited to see a high-tech Toto brand bidet toilet with a heated seat, though that made me wish the bathroom floors were heated, too. (Clearly, I'm getting spoiled.)
But this isn't a hotel where guests hide away in their rooms. Instead, they put on their trendiest beachwear, take selfies in front of the Bellagio-style fountains, go shopping in the Valentino boutique or book a cabana at one of several outdoor lounges. At Nobu by the Beach, for an extra 10,000 dirhams, you and nine friends have access to a living room, a private changing area and shower, and a small private pool. The rate includes two bottles of Champagne and some nibbles.
First, however, you might want to get a Botox top-up, ozone dialysis or stem cell therapy at the on-site Aeon Clinic for "regenerative wellness." Or head up to the true showstopper: the Cloud 22 lounge, an open-air space on the 22nd floor with thumping club music and a strong wind. An infinity pool with a double ledge is all that separates you from the resort below. Here, too, you can book cabanas for an extra fee and get your own plunge pool, which the resort doesn't count as one of 90 total pools on the property, including 44 in private suites.
The stunning Awaken spa has gender-segregated relaxation rooms, but six hammams, or Turkish baths, have yet to open. The meditation with dolphins program is also pending.
The room rate includes access to Aquaventure, the water park next door billed as the world's largest. My 3-year-old daughter had a blast in the toddler splash areas, and if we had more time I would have braved the slides with 360-degree loops and dark tunnels. With day passes starting at 315 dirhams for adults, this certainly adds to the value you get for your room.
At the hotel, each of the seven celebrity chef-helmed restaurants has a unique vibe and design, but the level of service is celestial across the board. When we ate lunch at Jaleo by Jose Andre (get the rossejat, a paella-style pasta), four different people asked if we wanted a highchair for our daughter. At the breakfast buffet, out of nowhere she got a hankering for tofu, and the kitchen happily provided a plateful. Meanwhile, I hadn't finished my latte before my cup was taken away and replaced with a new one-twice.
This is where Atlantis the Royal earns its name and its ultraluxury reputation. Every few feet as you walk the grounds, a security guard, concierge, lifeguard or cleaner places their right hand on their heart, bows forward and says hello. All properties run by Kerzner have adopted this apparent Covid-era gesture, but it certainly made me feel like a queen.

After many hours of work, I have finished reorganizing the studio! I am very sneezy. But I am so glad I did it.
Today was honestly a great day. I slept okay last night. Getting up was hard. But I did and felt pretty good.
I got dressed and had leftover chipotle for breakfast. I had some crackers. And then I got all my stuff together to go to the armory.
I drove down there and thought about stopping at Walgreens to get my prescription but then I remembered the aren't open on the weekend. Annoying. But that is fine. I got to the armory and waited for Jess to get there.
When she did we went to get the snacks she got for the workshop participants. Very big bags of popcorn. I even got one to take home.
We got upstairs and got everything set up and I felt really good about the project.
I love teaching sewing. And we were learning three basic stitches. And then a satin stitch for a few that wanted to fill in spaces. We ended up having two kids, one teen, and threw adults participate. And it was so fun!!
I got to show off my coat. And I loved talking to the kids about their ideas. The teen volunteer is really into making and showed me the adorable stuff she makes. We talked about projects and how to store them. And how to get materials. I am glad I was able to share the best places to get cheap and cost effective materials. I also got to spend time organizing my thread. Jessica helped by sorting the blue box so it'll be easier to wrap later. It was a productive class all around.
Everyone was having so much fun that we ended up staying an extra half hour. I encouraged everyone to take thread to finish their projects and to keep their hoops and needles. Some returned the needles though and that is just fine. They all said they are.coming back next week. I hope they do!!
We cleaned up pretty quickly. And then I was off. Back to the house to get back to cleaning the studio.
It was embarrassing how much stuff was in the living room. But I needed the space to be able to sort and clean. Mr Will came over and I told him not to laugh at me but he said I was doing good. And that he has ordered the new door and it'll be here soon.
Besides a few little breaks, I worked on the studio from 1245 until 730. Basically the entire afternoon. I did take an hour breakfast for dinner. But besides that it was just. Sorting. And finding spaces on the shelves. Throwing away trash. Sorting paper. Pulling out my art and putting it in a portfolio case. Just really digging in and trying hard to make the space more conducive to finding the materials I needed.
I also filled three bags of stuff to donate. And 4 1/2 Rubbermaid totes to bring to puhtok.
When James got home they would help me fold all of our sheets and extra blankets and bedding. Then we chose a few to donate. I also moved some trunks around. And really made some space and feel so good about it.
I also kicked up a ton of dust. So tomorrow I will do more actual cleaning. But in the mean time I did sweep a lot of little bits of fabric and trash. James put our couch cushions in trash bags so we could store them in the fire place since I got the box out of there and consolidated that stuff that was in there. And I just feel like we accomplished so much.
We took a little dinner break. Cuddled on the couch. My dad called as I was putting away the last few things. We talked for a half hour it was really nice to hear him sound so strong he starts intense physical therapy soon. And it going to hopefully relearn to drive. I am proud of him.
And once I was totally done everything I could do I went and took a bubble bath.
Which made me feel great. I did a face mask. My skin feels so soft. And now I am in bed. James made me a sandwich. I am sipping juice. I am very ready to go to sleep.
I have the next two days off. And I hope to do my knitting and finish my last crochet squares so I can start attaching them this week. I hope you all have a great night tonight. Sleep well my friends. I love you!

Girls/Boys Rooms Near Jaipur Colleges
If you’re searching for rooms for girls or boys near Jaipur colleges, you’ll find plenty of options that cater specifically to students’ needs. Jaipur, known for its vibrant student life, is home to several prestigious colleges and universities, making it a popular destination for students from across India. This influx of students has led to a rise in demand for student-friendly accommodations, including gender-specific rooms, PGs (paying guest accommodations), and hostels. Here’s a look at what to consider and expect when renting rooms near colleges in Jaipur.
Why Choose Rooms Near Colleges in Jaipur?
One of the biggest advantages of renting a room near Jaipur colleges is convenience. Staying close to your college not only cuts down on travel time and costs but also allows students to balance their academics and personal life more efficiently. Jaipur’s college areas are well-equipped with essential services like grocery stores, libraries, cafés, medical facilities, and public transportation, making it easier for students to meet their daily needs without commuting far.
For students new to the city, renting rooms near their campus also creates a comfortable environment where they can build social connections with peers. This is especially beneficial for students who are adjusting to college life away from home. Additionally, living in student-dense areas provides a supportive atmosphere conducive to studies and a vibrant social life.
Types of Rooms Available
In Jaipur, there are several options when it comes to finding rooms for rent near colleges. Here are a few popular types:
Single Occupancy Rooms: Ideal for students who prefer privacy. These rooms are typically fully furnished, with basic amenities like a bed, study table, wardrobe, and attached or shared bathroom.
Shared Rooms: This is a budget-friendly option that allows students to share a room with one or more roommates. Shared rooms are common among students looking for affordable housing and a more social living environment.
PGs and Hostels: Paying guest accommodations (PGs) and hostels provide meals, cleaning services, and often a common area for students to relax or study. Some PGs are gender-specific, catering only to girls or boys, while others are co-ed with separate floors or wings.
Studio Apartments: These are often pricier but offer more privacy and freedom for students who prefer a self-contained living space with their own kitchenette, bathroom, and study area.
Key Amenities and Features
When renting a room, it’s essential to ensure that the accommodation has amenities that meet student needs. Here are some standard features to consider:
Wi-Fi: A high-speed internet connection is crucial for students to complete online assignments, attend virtual lectures, and stay connected with family.
Furnishing: Most rooms come furnished with essentials like a bed, study table, and storage options. Some accommodations also provide bedding, making it easier for outstation students.
Meals and Mess Facilities: Some hostels and PGs offer meal plans, making it convenient for students who don’t want to worry about cooking.
Security: Safety is a priority, especially for girls’ accommodations. Look for properties with CCTV surveillance, security guards, and restricted entry.
Study Area: A quiet, dedicated study area can enhance focus, making it an ideal feature for students.
Laundry and Cleaning Services: Many rooms for rent include weekly cleaning and laundry services, adding convenience to students’ lives.
Tips for Finding the Right Room
Visit the Property: If possible, visit the property in person to ensure it meets your expectations. Online listings can be misleading, and it’s best to verify room conditions, neighborhood safety, and available amenities.
Check Proximity to Campus and Public Transport: Ensure the property is close to your college and has easy access to public transport if needed. This will make commuting hassle-free.
Compare Prices: Jaipur offers a variety of rental options, so compare prices based on amenities, proximity to campus, and room type. This will help you find a room within your budget.
Read Reviews: Many rental platforms offer reviews from previous tenants. Reading these can give insight into the property’s management, maintenance, and any issues you might encounter.
Final Thoughts
Renting a room near Jaipur colleges is an excellent choice for students who prioritize convenience, safety, and community. Whether you’re looking for a quiet single room, a vibrant shared space, or an amenity-rich PG, Jaipur has a variety of options tailored to student needs. By considering key factors such as location, amenities, and price, students can find the perfect room that fits both their lifestyle and academic requirements. Happystay.in

tired AF
today is our 3rd day at the new apartment and i woke up in a low, exhausted mood. i was loving the new space and familiarizing myself with the new environment, going at 110% trying to make it feel like home as soon as possible and i just crashed today. i made a list of all the packing and unpacking we have had to do in the last ~7 weeks, number indicates nights spent. we had to adjust to 13 different places and 12 different beds lol.
8/26 zurich - 1 lucerne - 1 vevey - 2 zermatt - 1 st moritz - 2 zurich - 1 nyc - 7 9/11 south pasadena - 17 9/28 mexico city - 4 oaxaca - 3 matt’s parents - 1 my parents - 2 10/9 new pasadena home - 2+
the movers came at about 9am on wednesday and i was juggling WFH by hotspotting, and matt was setting up the internet. they moved 53 boxes worth of stuff! i was tense because the movers' arrival window was for 9-11am and i had a meeting at 1pm. so i'm glad everything worked out fine and i got to attend the meeting.
matt has been very busy and nervous onboarding for his new job, and he officially starts on monday. this means that most of the unpacking/organizing (after the unpacking service) falls on me. i couldn't stand the messes, so i basically finished organizing the bathrooms, bedroom, and most of the office. i just need to work on the kitchen and balcony. i'm so dead tired from the physical work. i decided to leave the messes as they are and take my time sorting things out in the coming weeks. there's no rush.
we transitioned from using the app latch for opening all the doors of our last apartment, to having 3 physical keys and a garage remote. everything feels more slow paced here and people have the capacity/time to give you attention. on our first day, our neighbor held the door open for matt and introduced himself. in our 4 years living in brooklyn, no neighbor has said hi to us and vice versa.
i'm pretty happy with this location. it has some of the walkability like we had in nyc (walkable to grocery stores, boba, coffee, restaurants, and a yoga studio). so it makes it easier to share one car if needed. though i am considering just borrowing one of my parents car for about a year.
slowly, we will get into our new routines and get acquainted with the things around us. so far, i think chapresso may be my new debutea. TJ will be my grocery store of choice as it is only an 8 min walk away. the yoga studio here is pretty nice too, but definitely more mild than the LA studios.
tomorrow, i will babysit for my brother and SIL because my parents are in asia for 3 weeks. on sunday, we will have lunch with matt's family and move out one of our couches. life feels like it has become a complete 180. although this is all good change, it's still exhausting experiencing the transition/changes all happening at once. i hope matt's new job is good - so far it seems solid and the culture focuses more on patient care than making $, which makes sense with NYC being the capitalist center.
we're also learning how to live in a bigger space with each other. out of habit, i think we're so used to always being around each other all the time, so it's a weird but good feeling that we now have personal space lol. i'm here chilling in the bedroom, while he's doing his training modules in the office room. we also have 1.5 bathrooms now so we can poop at the same time! and it is so great that i don't have to hear every little thing he is doing (i.e tik toking, typing, talking on the phone)!!! feels like a big luxury and upgrade, though it is into an older apartment.
to do list:
visit a nursery/start a garden on the balcony
move out the couch, figure out what other furniture and seating we need for more guests
start inviting friends over (starting with SZ, perhaps we can WFH together)
take a swim at the pool?
use the fitness center
explore the area and caltech
find a good place to run outdoors

More Than Just a Room: How Service Apartments in Gurgaon Redefine Living
Gurgaon has become a go-to destination for both business travelers and long-term residents due to its rapid urban development and business opportunities. Amidst this bustling landscape, service apartments in Gurgaon have redefined how people experience living away from home. These apartments offer much more than a basic hotel stay; they provide a fully equipped living space designed for comfort, convenience, and flexibility, making them the preferred choice for modern travelers.
The Appeal of Service Apartments in Gurgaon
The concept of service apartments has gained immense popularity, especially in a city like Gurgaon, where business meets leisure. Service apartments are essentially fully furnished accommodations that come with a range of amenities, catering to both short-term and long-term stays. Unlike hotel rooms, service apartments provide a more spacious environment, typically featuring separate living, dining, and sleeping areas. This additional space allows guests to relax, work, and dine comfortably in their own time and space.
Location is another major advantage of staying in service apartments in Gurgaon. Many of these apartments are strategically located in prime areas like Cyber City, Golf Course Road, and near major commercial and recreational hubs. This not only makes commuting to work convenient but also keeps you close to popular shopping malls, restaurants, and entertainment options. Whether you are here for a short business trip or an extended stay, service apartments ensure that you're well-connected to everything the city has to offer.
The Perfect Compact Living Solution
For solo travelers or couples, studio serviced apartments in Gurgaon offer an ideal living arrangement. These studio apartments are compact yet well-designed, providing everything you need in one cozy space. A typical studio service apartment in Gurgaon includes a comfortable bed, a fully equipped kitchenette, a modern bathroom, and a living area that doubles as a workspace. This layout is perfect for those who prefer a minimalist yet functional living space.
The key benefit of staying in a studio serviced apartment is that it combines the comfort of home with the convenience of hotel services. While you enjoy the freedom to cook your own meals or unwind in a private setting, you also have access to amenities such as daily housekeeping, 24/7 security, and high-speed internet. This makes studio apartments a popular choice for young professionals, expats, and business travelers who value efficiency and comfort.
In conclusion, whether you choose a spacious multi-bedroom apartment or a compact studio, service apartments in Gurgaon provide a superior living experience that blends comfort, convenience, and a homely atmosphere. With modern amenities, prime locations, and the flexibility to cater to your unique lifestyle needs, these apartments are redefining the way people live in the city, offering an unmatched alternative to traditional hotel stays.

Yes, I feel awake. I have felt asleep and paralyzed for a long time, but now I feel (more) awake. However, I still feel paralyzed. It's like I know what I should do (finally!) but I'm not doing it. Things that demotivate me when I'm trying to put in work to improve myself: When people interrupt me. My husband stims and just asks random shit all the time. I complain about this to him on the daily. I think I might have ADHD, but I don't have the money for a diagnosis or treatment. Society has no sympathy for this. Another thing that demotivates me is lack of space: Virginia Woolf famously talked about the importance for a room of one's own, but I don't even have a table to do work. I bought a table with my own money back when I could still legally work, but my husband uses it for his photography and is extremely messy (not messy really, just neurodivergent, so his concepts of "order" and "mess" are different). Years of this mess have broken me and made me hysterical, but since he bought the bed I can't complain about him using my desk because then I would sleep on the floor. I'm expected to work without a surface to work on, except maybe my lap on the toilet, or the kitchen counter (very uncomfortable). I've tried the floor and the bed but both make your back hurt after a while, not to mention writing like that kills your wrist... I sound like I'm just coming up with excuses after excuses, blaming others, and talking about such trivial minutia that almost nobody would have sympathy for my situation, but I bet those same people have (or can find) what I cannot: Space, time, silence, freedom. Basic things we take for granted, but which not everyone has, and precisely because people assume everyone has those things, they cannot fathom someone lacking them, and therefore think they are just "making up excuses". Living in a tiny studio apartment, with no money to travel by subway out of the suburbs or a reason to leave the house, in a city that completely lacks free public spaces: This is solitary confinement. Try being productive in a cell full of mess, with heaps of Amazon boxes filled with crap, multitude of trash bags full of trash from husband being "in the process of cleaning" (for days), with all spaces taken up AND unable to move anything out of the place they currently find themselves in (to make space for myself) because doing so would alter the "order" he has "in his head" and send him into a meltdown. I can move stuff, just "tell me where you put it", but the practical limitations of moving every single doll earring, every single ribbon, every single eyelash ("DON'T DESTROY MY EYELASHES!!"), every single brush, every single glitter box, every single tiny plastic bag, every single USB cable, every single piece of paper, every single doll, every single needle, every single bunch of hair held together by a pipe cleaner, every single hair pin, ... and tell him one by one where everything is (as he will demand, or have a meltdown) are just impossible. Even if possible, it'd last a day before the mess reoccupies its previous space. Ah! But these are just my excuses. If I really wanted to I would go to the library (who's paying the $2.40 each way, every day, though?). The trauma is there. Even if these problems were to go away, I still would feel paralyzed, fearing that those problems could come back at any moment. I feel stupid and lazy being unable to overcome such exceedingly simple obstacles (in my mind, if it's messy, clean it! Cleaning sucks but it's easy! But being lashed out at for something that already sucks, that double sucks... sometimes I have to beg to be permitted to do something I hate and don't want to do... this is for me the lowest of the low). I think I need to shock my system somehow. Maybe I need to suffer more to snap out of this paralysis, because I'm perfectly healthy (physically). I need to be grateful that I'm awake. Many go by through life asleep. I see a way out. I just need to have the smarts to do it without triggering catastrophic consequences. This too shall pass.

7/11/23
Last night was horrible. I got 3 hours of sleep. I just fucking gave up and got up. I was so upset that I started writing a post for a mental health subreddit looking for some kind of advice on how to deal with this upstairs neighbor situation without being "the neighbor banging on the ceiling with a broom".
I didn't post it. I wrote like 10 paragraphs which, to anyone who has ever read this blog, knows that's pretty short for me... I deduced pretty clearly that if these people are waking me up through my box fan, my noise cancelling earbuds and white noise in the earbuds? There really aren't a lot of other options as far as sound reduction goes. That's just... where I'm at. So... the choices I have are...
Avoid the problem: relocate my sleeping spot - this is nearly impossible. My mom insisted I throw out my old mattress (which likely wouldn't fit in the rental car for the move) and she ordered me a Helix mattress which I lugged upstairs in its box. Okay, I mean... technically it would be possible for me to relocate the mattress, I'm not going to lie there... but it would be quite an undertaking and I would have to have my next steps well prepared. Then... what the fuck do I do with the loft space? ... Well... I could move my art studio up there... and I could just sleep in the main room. Use the main room as sorta... a studio apartment... and use the loft as my art workspace. The issue with this? My art space would be way the fuck away from my computer, so streaming art is out of the picture. Then I thought... well, what if I move my computer? My standing desk is way too heavy to bring upstairs. Like.. getting the mattress downstairs would be worlds easier than bringing the desk upstairs, and it would not be easy. Another option would be... basically abandoning the upstairs and just living downstairs. It just all feels a bit extreme.
Adapt: fix my sleep schedule - I don't really think I have a choice but to do this, honestly. Completely rearranging my entire house just because some people don't know how to like... take their shoes off... or walk softly before noon? It feels a bit extreme. But honestly... I feel so fucking stuck with this sleep thing.
So... let's talk about it. When I first moved here, I used to go out and smoke weed at like 4AM, then go right to bed. It would be dark out. I was a bit freaked out at first, but... I did it fine. I was watching those PTSD videos back then, ones on doing visualization of a safe place right before bed, and doing relaxation exercises. And it really did help. It's really the primary reason I made it through that transition as easily as I did.
So... what changed? Why am I scared to go to bed before dawn? Could it really be as simple as... Max died? And now I'm alone in the dark without a nocturnal partner to share the space with me? Could this just be a grief thing?
I guess we'll see. Honestly, I don't even know if it's going to be difficult. I don't even know if going to bed while it's still dark will be scary for me, honestly. It's been so long since I've even tried. There's just an invisible wall there. So... tonight will be a litmus test, we'll see what that wall really looks like.
I'm running on 4 hours of sleep. I stayed up until the maintenance guy came over, he was super friendly, the same dude that fixed my door (when the deadbolt wasn't latching) and did that inspection a few months ago. He was in and out really quick, just took a look at it, said he'd order the new part and try to get over here tomorrow to fix it. Fingers crossed. I'm going to make sure we test run it so he can see if it's wobbling and make sure he keeps that fucker tight as a drum so we don't have this problem again. I'd do it myself but I don't have a 15' ladder on hand and... to be frank... it's not my fucking job. :) Ahhh it's so relieving to finally be able to say that. HOLY SHIT. <heavy sigh of relief> Dude, when you are in isolation, living completely alone for extended periods of time... you start noticing pretty quick that if you want something done... you need to do it yourself. Not because you're the best person for the job, or because someone else might fuck it up, or you're the one who will do it well or you will do it the quickest... rather, if you don't do it... it doesn't get done. And that was fucking super eye-opening in the way I interacted with others... others who were omega-codependent. The ones who would constantly shame and guilt me for asking for help with super simple stuff. They all had people around to give them a helping hand, but they were too proud to ask for it. Pride. The most dangerous of sins, because it is the root of so many other ones, and it can also be connected to virtue in the right light... so it can often fly by undetected. But this... this manifestation is not a nice one. It's people who dedicate huge amounts of energy to hiding their problems, even from themselves, rather than admit that they need help. Those are the ones who I guaranteed would not get a finger lifted from, because - in their logic - "no one helps me..." Well... is it a coincidence that they never ask?
After years and years of being on this proverbial island, doing everything possible myself because I lack the income to hire others and I struggle with a big trauma/anxiety wall trying to make new friends, I'm finally in a position where I have assistance (reliable assistance) available to me. It feels very... secure. I feel cared about. Even though I'm just one of many many many people in this building, I still feel like... if something goes wrong, they will have my back. And that is a very new feeling outside of therapy, where it is contractually obligated. And here, I mean... it's contractually obligated too... but they're still nice people.
So yeah, the dude looked at the fan, he's going to come by either tomorrow or the day after. I did yoga, I ate, I drank a pot of coffee. Then I took an hour nap. I passed right out. And I woke up with this fucked up taste in my mouth. I still don't know what exactly caused it, but I had some really old Neon Sharpies I was drawing with on the string lights I was customizing today and that chemical smell matched the taste pretty close. Maybe I had some on my fingers and they made their way into my mouth in my sleep? I don't know. But yeah, I spend the rest of the evening doing designs on those lights, which is coming out pretty damn cool. And preparing the beads, which came out pretty damn cool. The green ones are definitely pale, but they came out more of a subdued lemon lime yellow-green, which is totally cool by me. They look great, I'm happy with them. I went back and forth on whether I wanted to put symbols on them individually, or decorate them further... but I still wasn't sure about medium, or what symbols... yeah... so I decided to hold off on that and just run this batch and do something more ornate on another batch. I just wanna keep things moving and let my inspiration inspire new pieces rather than alter current ones. I think it's a good plan.
So... I got the first layer of tung oil on the plain beads, the green ones, the blue ones, and two beads painted with Posca opaque paint pens that I was going to do test runs with acrylic sealer on. I want to see how they do with the oil. I'm very curious to see how that turns out. They should be fine, I'm just... I'd prefer to do a test run. And if that works well, that's a big win because that ink does not soak into the wood, so I can do very detailed ornamentation with those. Just using ink, even just archival ink like Micron pens, will soak into the wood and you risk what we used to call in tattooing "blowouts", where the ink just... blows out... it spreads and bleeds unintentionally. These paint pens won't do that, which is super nice.
So yeah, they're soaking up their first coat. I skipped the display table today because I didn't want to sand it. I can coat it any time, it's not a big deal. And I skipped exercise today because I'm running on two days worth of fumes. I didn't want to push myself too far. Next day is the last one on the workout plan, so that's a milestone. I'll search for a new workout and revisit the meal planner tomorrow.
But yeah, now it's 2:30 AM and I'm lined up to go start getting ready for bed. Fingers crossed things go well. This is gonna be like... sleeping somewhere new for the first time, with how long it's been. But I really need to remember... it's not new... it's a return to how things were. And the big sell? If I get to sleep now? There's a smaller time window where those people upstairs will be able to wake me up.
We'll see how things go.

Two Bedroom Furnished Studio Serviced Apartment Rent In DhakaA two-bedroom furnished studio serviced apartment typically refers to an apartment that has two separate bedrooms, a living area, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. It is fully furnished and comes with amenities such as housekeeping, linen and towel services, and access to shared facilities such as a gym or a swimming pool. This is the choice for you if you often travel for work.
Why Short-Term Rentals Should be Your Go-To Accommodation Option for Travel
1.Stable AccommodationYou can easily extend your stay with a short term rental, from days to months to even a year. This means you do not need to worry about uprooting and relocating in the middle of your project.
2.Save MoneyShort term rentals are mostly cheaper than hotels, especially considering the amenities it provides that most hotels do not have, like on-site laundry to kitchen basics. This can mean you have considerably more wiggle room in your budget and can spend that money on other important or luxurious things.
3.Enjoy Your Own FoodBy choosing a short term rental you get all the perks of having your own fully equipped kitchen - which means you can enjoy the freedom and flexibility of cooking for yourself, controlling what and when you eat or rustling up a decent snack when you are hungry.
4.PrivacyOne of the best features about short term rentals is the privacy that we offer. With so much more space of your own to entertain and relax in, you don’t need to just stay in the small confines of one room like you do in a hotel, sharing most of your walls with strangers.
5.Furniture And EquipmentMany hotel rooms provide little more than a bed and a bath; a dresser, wardrobe, desk or small couch may be included if you’re lucky. Short term rentals are fully furnished with all the typical furniture you’d find in a home. Hanging up your clothes, having a sofa and coffee table to relax at and a kitchen to prepare food in may seem like small things.
