Honestly, if this comes down to tyre deg, then I think it exposes a flaw in the weight limit system? You shouldn't be penalised for driving on tyres that are still perfectly usable just because they're not contributing enough to your end weight?
When Lewis finished Silverstone on 3 tyres, the rules dictate they were allowed to replace the tyre before weighing so as not to make him underweight... so it feels like a blind spot that driving to the limit of the tyres but not over it can end up costing you?
I feel like the minimum weight should exclude tyre weight, because its such a variable. If he was underweight because the actual physical construction of the car was under the limit then fine, but if this is genuinely lost because he did more laps on his tyres, that feels counterintuitive to good racing?
