You know what? I don't go to these specific headcanons first, necessarily, especially since I have only a passing knowledge of MLP, but, DAMMIT! It works! It totally works! I just had a flash to some of my very favorite characters and... all of them.... ALL of them! Like, dammit, Vash the Stampede loves Rainbow Dash, doesn't he? And Hordak probably likes Twilight Sparkle. His darling science-wife, Entrapta, doesn't actually favor a pony, but Chaos! Libra from Fire Emblem is a Fluttershy-enjoyer. WHY do I know this when I've seen all of TWO episodes of that show?

the first thing you should headcanon a character as is transgender. the second thing is that you should make them like mlp. the third thing you should do is think really hard about who their favorite pony would be. this is vital to understanding their personality

#okay so all of these guys EASILY have trans-fanons in fandom #Libra for like extremely obvious reasons - the man is one of FE's (in)famous femboys #Spop-version Hordak is incredibly trans-coded and is canonically metaphor at the very least #while I don't think Nightow specifically thought of trans-Vash for Trigun originally...#...but he is an ambiguous non-human / of a created species which has no set gender #and the creator (Nightow) himself doesn't know why he and his brother were born boys #you can't go anywhere on tumblr without people headcanoning Vash as trans by default #the MLP stuff was what tripped me up for a moment #and then I had it!#and I put this on my Trigun blog instead of my regular #because if you know you know #and I want to see how many people in my fandom think I chose the right pony
