"I remember in One Direction we used to have like pre-stage rituals. I think ours was the most stupid things where we used to make Harry say... The words were 'Let's do this s***', which is the swear word we obviously can't say, and then we'd be like 'Can you say it in the style of my friend's goldfish?' and then he'd have to try and do an impression of my friend's goldfish. It kind of calmed the nerves before everyone went on stage. It'd be anything. (...) It could be anything like maybe 'Say it in the style of JayDee Dyer' and then he'd have to try and say it like you'd say it. And that's how it'd be very week!"

Lets start with the twitter/insta/finsta/FUNNY part of today: Olivia unfollowed Harry’s old finsta (was: colazione8), which also changed both its profile picture (was: a kitten, is now: Steve McQueen) and its insta username (is now: scottysakamoto), which set the fandom off in a flurry of speculation over what it MEANS and what could be COMING NEXT? Fans quickly began to do research on what it all means. ‘Sakamoto’ is an old Japanese name tied to nobility, which means “one who lives at the bottom of the slope”, and Steve McQueen is the actor who played Henri in the 1973 film, Papillion, from which Harry and Louis have copied many of their tattoos (as we know not just from, you know, looking at them, but also because the artist that did one of them said so), specifically from Steve McQueen's character. Papillion is about two ‘friends’ named- wait for it - Henri and Louis and their struggle for freedom, and ends in an epic jump from a cliff reminiscent of the one in the end of the WMI trilogy! To add a bit of tongue and cheek to the already hilarious wink - and - nod, the picture is one of Steve McQueen undressing (read: taking his underpants off) by next to a sign that says “Anyone Caught In Here Better Have A Damned Good Reason”, so how’s THAT for subtlety. The bio, which used to read “breakfast, lunch, dinner” in Italian, now reads “SS” (as in...a ship??). Why did Olivia unfollow her gay boyfriend’s finsta? Don’t know, couldn’t tell ya! But I’ll say this: if there was any pretense that she wanted to, uh, see the content of the instagram, that’s as long gone as Henri is from that cliff. That is, at the bottom of the ocean. ANYWAYS, welcome back, RBB, always a pleasure, can’t wait to look back years from now and be like AH SO THATS WHAT THIS MEANT! And, to round out the wonderful insta shenanigans, Louis popped on while H was making profile changes to like Helene Horycke’s new book announcement (Just Sing!). Well, hello to you, too, SBB!
Liam’s third of eight FIFA podcasts dropped yesterday, featuring two Nigerian celebrities, Asisat Oshoala (a player on the Nigerian national team) and Tiwa Amadi (aka Tiwa Savage, a singer with UMG), who were talking about changing their respective scenes in Nigeria. Liam talks about the responsibility he feels as an artist, particularly because his fanbase is made up of “young females”, to “give them a chance to make it in the industry and to play with these people”. His own start was with a very supportive (read: pushy) family, and a father who knew (read: insisted) that he would one day be put in from of Simon Cowell “and see what he thinks of your voice”. Warning: results may Vary! These days, though, Liam treats studio sessions like “a therapy session, in a way...We’re making songs for your moments, and that’s what those songs will remind you of: that person, that time”. Yeah, it’s all these little things that add up to you, Liam!
Niall ALSO had a sports thing drop today along with many golf posts as he shifts into full on sports manager!Niall mode for a minute. Niall/ Modest!Golf have partnered with the R&A (the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of Saint Andrews. Yes. That’s the real name. I promise) to create “a series of future grassroots programmes aimed at inspiring more young people into golf.” You go, Niall! Good luck with that! I’m...gonna sit this one out, but YES Niall LIVE YOUR DREAM! He sat down to chat with amateur golfer Mia Baker about this program, saying he really wants to make the game “more inclusive and accessible”. Well, good luck!
And, in a Very Special Intern’s Lightning Round: harries on twitter pretended to be “industry insiders” only to reveal that, nope, they’re uni students with no connections, Louis replied to Bonehead from Oasis about Dig! (a documentary on two bands’ very different paths to fame), Niall liked Halsey’s Pregnancy announcement (surprise! The old teahouse will have a *real* baby! Also. she’s VERY pregnant!), and Roman Kemp and the Capital One Crew decided that One Direction was better than another boyband bc “larry” (Roman, seeing the oncoming train wreck: “no, don’t say that”), a Harry Styles themed BAR called fine line opened in Argentina (NO ONE does it like LATAM fans!), and various Walls-related memes and tags flooded twitter today after the album surpassed 350 million streams, including, by the way, one of Bernie and his cute little mittens on the cover instead of Louis’ power stance.
#harry styles#louis tomlinson#liam payne#niall horan#do i have anything else to add in the tags today??#i dont really think i do but i will say that i LOVE doing my little lightening rounds because we get so many jokes in such a short space#also i CANT believe Halsey is SO PREGNANT!!!!#funny how you can hide it if you want to huh???#also im taking a poll#do you think its a good idea to use fanfic pick up strategies irl???#discourse says no but what do YOU think#asking for a friend#anyways!#song of the day!#Holding on Where I am Able by the Oh Hellos

We’re Only Young and Naive Still Chapter 2
Chapter 1
Nora was scratched against Detroit which wasn’t a surprise. She hadn’t had a stellar debut and she hadn’t curried favor with Sutter, but the press had taken her first game and run with it. Everyone had told her to stay off of the internet and to not read articles about herself, but it was hard to ignore the things that popped up on her Twitter feed. There were already some reporters who asked to interview her and there were even a few names that she recognized and wouldn’t mind interviewing with. She had listened to Steve Dangle’s podcast on her morning commute to college occasionally and thought he’d been fair in his assessments. She didn’t think that he’d take cheap shots at her or try to make her uncomfortable.
She also knew though that the publicity that was being offered to her was something that some athletes worked their entire lives for. Maybe if it was different, if she was naturally talented in the way that Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid were, the attention would be warranted, but she was just a novelty. So for the moment, Nora politely declined the interviews with the canned rejection that she wanted to focus on contributing to the team and that she would consider at a later time.
She was on the practice squad for the scrimmage before the game clad in a white jersey with some of the other two-way players skating on the ice against the permanent Flames and halfway through practice, she was already exhausted and soaked in sweat. “Tired, Hallisay?”
“I’m fine,” Nora said and skated back to the ice with renewed resolve.
“Take the face off,” Sutter yelled and Nora paired off against Matthew Tkachuk. Off ice he was just aloof but on ice, he was ferocious. He was the type of player that teams hated playing against and everyone wanted on their team. He glared at her from across the face-off circle, his cold, blue eyes almost wild as their coach approached them with the puck. Nora reacted just a split second faster to pass the puck over to Jusso for the break-away. The play was called off and everyone reset with new players at the face-off.
“Lucky,” Matthew said.
“Had nothing to do with luck,” Nora replied.
“It won’t happen again,” Matthew said, but there was a lightness in his voice.
“We’ll see,” Nora said, knowing that the odds of her squaring off against Matthew would be few and far in between. She was a fourth-liner at best; he was on the first line. As practice wrapped up, Nora skated to the bench and grabbed some Gatorade. Some of the guys headed straight to the locker room, but Nora lingered rink side.
“You coming?” one of the trainers asked.
“I’m going to stick around here a little longer,” Nora said, “I want to get in a little more practice.”
“They won’t let you stay too long,” the trainer warned.
“I’ll take what I can get,” Nora said. She skated back on the ice and worked on puck-handling drills. She wished she had the hands of Pavel Datsyuk, but she didn’t. It was never her strong suit on the ice.
“Move your top hand more, it’ll give you better control” a voice called behind the bench.
Nora stopped for a moment and glanced over to where the voice was coming from. A small group of players, already showered and changed, watched.
“Move your hand more,” Matthew repeated, gesturing with his own hand.
Nora shifted her hands to match his, “Like this?”
“Yeah, that’s what they teach you when you’re eight,” Matthew said.
Nora saw red. Matthew could fuck off. “Well, we don’t all have dads who can get us on the best junior teams.”
A couple of the guys chuckled, but Matthew’s jaw clenched and his face turned red. Nora felt her stomach sink as the barb landed exactly where she anticipated. If things were different, Nora would have been contrite and even as it was, she didn’t like to be the type of person that made other people feel bad, but she wasn’t just going to roll over and take it either. She knew she didn’t have the same hockey knowledge that the other players did. They had had some of the best coaches, had had the time to play for hours after school, and had had opportunities that she couldn’t have dreamed of. So yeah, they didn’t have the same background, but she had worked her way to where she was, and she deserved to be there no matter what anyone else said.
After they left, she redid the drill following Matthew’s advice. It was better; he was right. Nora gritted her teeth and did it again and again, adjusting her grip when she noticed herself slipping into her old routine. “Fuck,” Nora murmured.
“You have to go,” the zamboni driver said as he waited for her to get off the ice.
“Sorry,” Nora said sheepishly and skated towards the locker room. Everyone was already gone by the time she was ready to leave the rink.
She pulled out her phone and followed the map back to the hotel. A few blocks away from the hotel, a text message popped up on her phone.
From Liam: Congrats on your debut.
Nora smiled and pocketed her phone away to respond to him later. She made a mental note to text him back later.
“A few of us are playing FIFA later, if you want to join?” Mikael said as he caught her coming out of the elevator.
Nora smiled slightly, grateful for the invitation, “Whose room?”
“Don’t know yet, but it’ll be in the group chat.”
“I’ll be there,” Nora promised. She headed to her room, sat on the edge of the bed, and pulled up the text that Liam had sent her. Thanks, you watched?
Liam’s response was almost immediate: I saw the highlights. How are things with the team?
Nora wanted to tell him everything, she wanted to say how hard it was, how Sutter didn’t want her there, and the team didn’t want her there, and how all she wanted to do was go home. But she didn’t. Instead she typed out, I kind of fucked up with a teammate today.
Liam wrote back, You’ll make the right decision, you always do.
Nora sighed.
As promised, the open invitation in the group chat said they were planning on playing FIFA in Rasmus’s room in fifteen minutes and Nora showed up just a few minutes afterwards.
“Are you any good?” Milan asked.
“I’m horrible at video games,” Nora said.
“You’re on their team, then,” Milan said as he nodded over to the other half of the room.
Nora glanced over at Matthew who had been leaning against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, still looking as pissed off as he had at the rink.
“I think I’m gonna leave,” Matthew said, despite protests from their teammates. Nora couldn’t help but feel as though it was a reaction to her joining, a remnant from their fight at the rink.
She remembered what Liam had sent her, “You’ll make the right decision, you always do,” and she knew what she’d have to do.
After a few rounds of watching them play FIFA, Nora stood up to leave.
“You know where Matthew’s room is?” she asked Elias as a new game was getting set up.
“I think he’s 219,” Elias replied.
“Thanks.”
Nora talked herself into going over to Matthew’s room. She sighed and knocked on the door, hoping that he would already be asleep or in the shower. Instead, though, Matthew opened the door and glared at her.
“Can we talk?” Nora asked. Matthew didn’t answer, but instead pushed the door open and made way for her to come in.
“I’m sorry, for what I said at the rink. That wasn’t fair and it wasn’t true. You worked hard to be here and it wasn’t right for me to imply that it was because of who your father is or who your family is, so I’m sorry about it. And...you were right,” Nora said, “About my hands, it’s better your way.”
There was a long pause, “This is where you would usually apologize, too.”
“Why should I? I was just trying to help,” Matthew said.
“No, you weren’t,” Nora said, “You were trying to humiliate me.”
“What’s your problem?” Matthew said, “Why do you think we’re all out to get you or something?”
Nora paused for a moment, “I know you don’t want me here. I know most of the guys don’t want me here, and that’s fine, but it’s hard not to think that way when you know otherwise.”
“What do you mean we don’t want you here?” Matthew asked, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion, “Did someone say something?”
Nora pulled out her phone and scrolled through the group chat to the incriminating messages, “You did.” She held out the phone for Matthew to read the messages.
His eyes widened in recognition and he went to apologize, but Nora held out her hand, “Don’t. It is what it is, but I know, so don’t play dumb. And I don’t expect us to be friends or even like each other, I don’t care about that, but I deserved better than that and I don’t deserve the type of comments that you made at practice either.”
Matthew didn’t say anything and to be honest, Nora wasn’t sure if there was anything left to clear the air, “See you tomorrow then.”
She headed back to her room and saw another message from Liam, Do you need to talk?
No, I’m good, but thanks, good night Li.
Nora had woken up before they were scheduled for breakfast and she looked on her phone for a local coffee shop to try before they were set to leave Detroit. She headed to a small, locally owned one just a few blocks from the hotel that they had passed in transit and ordered a vanilla latte. She grabbed a table towards the back and pulled up some of the NHL highlights
“Can I join you?” A familiar voice asked and Nora glanced up to find Matthew Tkachuk awkwardly standing in front of her with a cup of coffee.
“Were you following me?” Nora asked.
“No, yes, but I was hoping we could talk,” Matthew said.
“I don’t think there’s anything more to say,” Nora said, “I said everything I wanted to last night.”
“I didn’t,” Matthew said, “Can I?” he gestured to the empty chair across from her and Nora shrugged.
“Is this a conversation that we should have here?” Nora asked.
“There aren’t too many people here and it’s better here than in the hotel, I guess,” Matthew said.
“Okay,” Nora said.
“I’m sorry for what I said at the rink yesterday and, more importantly, for what you saw in the group chat,” Matthew said, “You were right, you didn’t deserve that and we should have made more of an effort to make you feel welcome and to treat you like one of the guys.”
“I’m not one of ‘the guys’, though, and I’m not trying to be,” Nora said, “Things are different with me and I can’t help that.”
“I know, I didn’t mean it like that,” Matthew said.
“I know how you meant it,” Nora said, “And I appreciate your apology.”
Matthew outstretched his hand, “Let’s start over?”
Nora eyed up his hand, but shook it, “Sure. We better start heading back to the hotel anyways.”
“What are you drinking by the way?” Matthew asked.
“A vanilla latte,” Nora said, “Why?”
“In case I need to know for future apologies,” Matthew said.
“Let’s hope not,” Nora said with a small smile.

What do you think of liams new podcast? I’m thankful he at least didn't make a podcast about his own life or to speak about his mental health (every time Liam speaks like that he makes me worried for him and I hope he is giving himself the space to not feel like he owes his audience). I wish he wouldn't feel like he always has to do stuff though.
So I’ve just got round to listening to the first two episodes of Liam’s podcast, and it really makes me regret being a completist when it comes to 1D related material.
I don’t think the podcast is very good. I can see the appeal of bringing together music and football - I’m sure there is a good format in that, but ‘desert island disks, but where you don’t hear the music’ is not it.
I also think that Liam is not a very good podcast host. There are basic skills he doesn’t have. His questions often didn’t havve flow - and once he half asked an interesting questions, but then switched to another half way through. On top of that he’s not very at ease, you can hear that he’s thinking about what he’s supposed to do.
In contrast, I think Liam is a pretty good podcast guest - with all the provisos that you make about the stress of listening for someone who is a fan. I think Liam can be relatively relaxed if he knows what he’s supposed to be doing and is getting positive feedback, and he often does get that in podcasts.
I think the bigger questions is why - from both sides. Why did the FIFA think Liam was the person for this? (My guess is that a strong international audience played into it, but who knows). And why did Liam think this was something he wanted to do? Is there more to it than Liam’s team coming from sports and Liam seeming to say yes to everything? I’ve no idea.

FIFA Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Scotland vs Russia
Artwork by @chapulana
Russia came back from a goal down at Hampden Park to take a crucial three points from Scotland in group I of the FIFA Euro qualifiers. Scotland started brightly taking the lead ten minutes in, but Russia came back to secure a huge victory in their push for Euro qualification. In this tactical analysis, we will look into how the Russians managed the comeback.
Lineups
Scotland lined-up in a 4-1-4-1 formation, with Leeds United captain, Liam Cooper making his long-overdue debut at centre-half. Champions League winner Andy Robertson, of course, captained the Scots from left-back. Manchester United’s McTominay played just ahead of the Scotland centre-halves, with John McGinn and Callum McGregor completing central midfield. Bournemouth star, Ryan Fraser started on the wing while Celtic’s James Forrest started on the other side, with £20 million man Oli McBurnie started up top.
Scotland vs Russia – team sheet
Russia came out in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Semenov and Dzhilkiya partnering in central defence. Mario Fernandes and Kudryashov occupied the full-back positions while Zobnin manned the midfield alongside Ozdoev. Monaco’s Golovin slotted in at number 10, who played in-behind Dzyuba at striker.
Long-ball football not the answer
Scotland started the game so brightly – the opening 15 minutes were full of pace, aggression and creative promise for the home side. Robertson and O’Donnell pushed high to have Russia camped in their own half, with Fraser and Forrest attacking the channels to overload the Russia penalty area. Meanwhile, McTominay had started well, screening the back-line and picking up possession to circulate back to the full-backs who would begin the forward movement for the Scots.
However, as the match passed the fifteen-minute mark, Russia began to gain spells of possession that had Scotland pushed backwards. Scotland were unable to expand themselves in possession as Russia had been able to escape their entrapment in the penalty area and were able to cut off each third of the pitch.
As we can see below, McBurnie is given little room to move around for the cross, while Russia leave two players available in the middle of the block to pressurise the ball and cover deep runners. From these positions, Russia organised themselves to be able to expand their formation upon winning the ball back for the counter.
McBurnie and Forrest are isolated while Russia look to cut off winger from the short option
This seemed to be the trend for Scotland and McBurnie, as they altered their tactics following this change in the game. Russia organised their defensive shape to expand further up the field, and it became far more difficult for Scotland to reach the Sheffield United man. As shown below, when Scotland possession came in the wide areas, Russia put themselves in a shape that enables them to cover any attackers in the middle to cut them off from the ball, forcing a backward pass.
The out-of-shot right-back can cover the inside or the oncoming Robertson on the left. Meanwhile, there are four blue jerseys behind the ball, with three of them in very static positions, especially for a team who needs a comeback to keep their group campaign alive. This seemed to be the story for Scotland, there were not enough bodies getting amongst the Russia block, moving players around and creating space in and around the penalty area.
Once again, Russia’s block traps McBurnie and a Scotland midfielder, who is unlikely to find enough space to receive a pass. A spare man is left who can slot into the block or man-mark outside
Outside the final third, Scotland reverted to long-ball football as characterised by Craig Levein’s tenure as Scotland boss. Long punts up the field caused little to no problems for the Russians, whose aerial dominance over McBurnie allowed them to make light work of winning back possession.
Oli McBurnie struggled to compete, winning just 16 out of 47 duels, while winning just eight aerial duels from a possible 25. Young McBurnie struggled to get the ball out of his feet too, completing just 12 passes– just half of his match average of 24 per match. Had Scotland continued their fast football played ‘on the deck’ then this game might’ve turned out very differently for the Scots.
Russia’s control
Following a bright start from Scotland, Russia built themselves into the match. Possession pushed the Scots back, allowing for Russia to put their stamp on the game by dragging Scotland’s midfield away from Golovin in the centre, who was able to cause havoc for the Scotland back-line.
As we can see below, Russia look to recycle possession, with Scotland’s striker, winger and central midfielder looking to cut Zobnin off from his teammates. However, the cage that they put up is not tight enough to have any chance of winning the ball. Therefore, the three have been dragged out of position and haven’t done enough to minimise the risk of the resulting space being exploited.
Scotland’s loose cage makes it easy for Zobnin to dip possession in and out, creating more room for Russia to attack in
This leaves two central midfielders and the winger on the far-side to cover several options all over the pitch. The back-line can, therefore, push high up to support and leave a gap behind them or drop deep and hope for the midfield to recover. Either way, Scotland’s midfield is far too easy to bypass, exposing the back-line. This brings us onto the final piece of analysis.
Golovin the star man
Russia bypass the Scotland press, and options all over the pitch open up for the away side
Russia’s Golovin was able to exploit these areas in excellent fashion. However, it was too easy for the Russians to exploit a Scotland setup lacking in aggression to close the ball down. Another Scotland cage was far too loose once again, Russia’s striker dragged Mulgrew away from the cage, leaving space in-behind for Golovin to attack. Meanwhile, O’Donnell has to race back to cover his man.
Another loose cage leaves several options open for Russia to attack the Scotland defence
Scott McTominay is completely static, while McGregor is not in the position to put any pressure on the ball. Golovin’s pace is too much for the Scotland defence. Meanwhile, there is plenty of room on the far side for Golovin to cross into, with O’Donnell unable to clear his lines, as the ball ended up in his own net.
McTominay is static, while McGregor is out of the game. Golovin runs through with all the time in the world
Conclusion
This was a must-win game for Scotland in their bid to qualify from the group stage. Scotland are now six points behind Russia and one point behind Kazahstan, and a win against Belgium is the only way that Scotland can keep their campaign alive. The Scots had started so brightly, putting Russia under the cosh for the first 15 minutes, but once Russia were able to escape, Scotland were far too easy to exploit, committing numbers in the press but without enough aggression. Russia will now be favourites to take second spot in Group I.

Danny Baker back on air with Gary Lineker following BBC axe
He may have been fired by the BBC but Danny Baker will be back in the air with star broadcaster Gary Lineker later this week.
The former 5 Live presenter was quickly fired over a tweet with a couple holding hands with a chimpanzee wearing clothing with the caption & # 39; Royal Baby leaving the hospital & # 39 ;
Some claimed that the tweet that Baker had removed and described as a & # 39; stupid and thoughtless gag & # 39 ;, mocked the racial heritage of the Duchess of Sussex .
No episodes from the entertaining Lineker & Baker: The Behind Closed Doors podcast, recorded in Lineker's kitchen, has been broadcast ever since.
However, that will soon change with a new show that will appear later this week. Lineker tweeted to say that the return & # 39; after a summer vacation & # 39; coming.

SOLSKJAER TOLD TO USE THE GAFFER PARKING SPOT
Ed Woodward encouraged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to start parking at the manager's Carrington training ground in Manchester United.
The Norwegian was reluctant to use the space, seeing it as & # 39; the place of the giver (Sir Alex Ferguson) & # 39; which he did not feel comfortable with.
However, Vice-Chairman Woodward, perhaps wary of constant jibes that United lives in the past or perhaps of the radical opinion, is Ion that the manager must park in the manager's parking lot if the help the club move forward and has expressed its feelings.

LARGE THREE ROTATED BY EARLY WINDOW
During a recent meeting between Premier League managers, the subject of the English window closed three weeks earlier than in Europe
Three managers in particular very clear opinions on this, according to those present, and they were Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Mauricio Pochettino.
Tottenham chief Pochettino, whose club may have lowered the bids of the continent for some of their players, including Christian Eriksen, who changed the game against Aston Villa on Saturday and then used his pre-match press conference to to complain about the different public deadlines.
There is a feeling among coaches from clubs outside the Big Six that if the prominent bosses continue to lobby against the mismatched windows, the league will consider changing things back to how they were.
LANCASHIRE FACE LOCATION DIHEMME AXLES CLOSED WITH T20
More fun and games in Lancashire. Last year, the Red Rose region saw the prospect of giving up home advantage in the T20 Blast quarterfinals thanks to a potential collision with a Liam Gallagher concert, which was then avoided when the results meant that they would eventually play.
This year, with Lancashire at the top of the northern group, it is the Ashes Test in Old Trafford that coincides with the last eight dates.
The county says they are in talks with the ECB about possible locations. Given that the options for outdoor use are limited, there may be a neutral site on the map.
Meanwhile, Lancashire officials have apologized for confusion about reimbursements for Friday's washed-out rose affair. Initially, the club said members would not get a face value.
Later, however, they clarified that members who had paid extra for T20 tickets would be reimbursed, although those with T20 season tickets are not entitled to a refund unless further competitions have been washed away.
FIFA APOLOGY FOR LANDING BROADCASTER IN HOT WATER
FIFA accidentally ran a small British broadcaster in The problems were raised after a member of his commentary team for the U20 World Cup was bugged with & # 39; f *** & # 39; *** hell & # 39; along the microphone for the collision of Ecuador with Italy.
FIFA & # 39; unconditionally apologized and blamed the language heard during the Ecuadorian national anthem for a & # 39; audio interference & # 39 ;. But Freesports, which used the FIFA feed for broadcast in the UK, was drawn to Ofcom.
The watchdog discovered that it had violated the rules of offensive language before the watershed and the freesports will now have a stamp on the plate.
SAINT LIVES NAME AS THEY ARE OUTSIDE
Southampton are truly the saints if their pre-season tour shenanigans – or lack thereof – were anything to go by.
The outfit of the St Mary is managed by teetotaler Ralph Hasenhuttl and went to the homeland of Austria for a summer camp.
Players were banned from drinking and, in a show of austerity solidarity, the back room staff of the club promised to stay out of the doll for the entire trip.

PAN AMERICAN GAMES MODEL FOR THE UK AFTER BREXIT
More than 20 British companies, from public relations to signage and site construction, have been involved in the Pan American Games that were concluded Sunday in Lima.
Many of those involved are London 2012 veterans and their input has provided much needed export boost for Brexit.
Two years ago, the government signed a unique deal with their Peruvian counterparts, little knowing that the event might become a much needed example of how the UK can operate after the expected departure from the European Union.
WOMEN'S CRICKET GETS COMMONWEALTH GAME SPOT

Defenseless is back at #13 for the Spotify viral 50 charts and DJ Mike Adams was CELEBRATING (as we all were!). Bebe Rhexa promised to give the gays “everything they want”, and fans quickly went “another Louis collab?” (honestly that IS all everyone wants) “I wish I fuckin could” she says, with one of those crying emojis, and man if thats not a MOOD I don’t know what is!!
Liam’s weekly FIFA podcast is apparently not happening this week; he instead put out a ‘greatest hits’ mashup of his previous episodes, which play the “best moments from the series so far” (a pretty short look back, considering that there are only 4 episodes of the show). Hmmm, you know what, actually, would it be cool if we did a ‘best of Discourse’ that might be fun I should get on that.
Meanwhile, in whatever the hell Harry has going on, we circle back around to that goddamn ‘feeding a fan’s fish’ picture because time is a FLAT CIRCLE. What we see is people going crazy because someone capitalized on gossip (started by Deuxmoi who have been thoroughly discredited as an actual source of information at this point even without this nonsense) that she was Harry’s “fuck buddy” by… buying a completely new ‘if you ain’t a fisherman you ain’t SHIT’ hat and trying to pass it off as his ratty old one. Deuxmoi claimed that his FWB took the picture. Umm, no? The photographer was Sonya Jasinski who has worked with Kacey Musgraves before, and was apparently vacationing with Nicole Branch (who is the sister of a singer/songwriter who ALSO has worked with Kacey), as well as a group of other friends over the summer. Sonya originally credited the photo to Nicole, but that has since been removed. Sonya is a professional photographer and the picture is still up on her own instagram. The picture was taken at the 13 year old fan’s bedroom (who’s family seems to be friends with Sonya), and Harry was dressed in head to toe Gucci when the pic was taken. So, as it stands, H stopped by the house of people he KNEW, met Mr. Dad (or whatever his last name is- his preteen daughter told us he got her stuff signed for her), and Sonya, and Nicole, got his pic taken in the fan’s room by either woman, and signed a bunch of merch. Deuxmoi can claim this was a booty call all they like, but if so it was -crowded- and please let this be the last time we - or anyone - has to talk about this ridiculous situation! Nicole isn’t the only one linking herself to Harry through headgear though - Olivia Wilde posted a pic (old) yesterday of herself in a pink La Ligne hat, ie the same as the one Harry was wearing for the one time only Holivia pap pic fest, and she ALSO got something signed by him for someone (Discourse: “please sign this titty for me Harry”) , though we know they see each other at work every day so hopefully we can skip the complicated discourse about the signing of that. Oh what no? People think it Means something? Sigh
#louis tomlinson#liam payne#harry styles#damnnnn today WAS a discourse heavy day huh??#if it seems like i have no patience for it its bc i DONT alkdfj#dear patienceeeeeee#if i pour my heart out can you keep a promiseeeeeeeeee#hhahahahaha#well okay then im just waffling about in the tags huh ill shut up now#anyways H is gay and all of this is....nonsense#you know that one line from the Haunting of Hill House???#the rest is confetti#this is what this fandom feels like constantly#anyways WHAT A PIC H SIGNED HUH#anyways! song of the day!#smell by sleeping at last#YO LOTS OF EDITS ON THIS ONE BC I GOT MORE AND BETTER INFO THANKS SO MUCH FOR THATTTT

"I'll tell you a little story about how we wrote one of our songs which you might not have heard before. We're sat in a room and we 're struggling through melodies for this song. It was really really late in the day and this song actually became the title track of the 3rd or 4th album called Midnight Memories. And somebody walked into the room and the song originally started off with, this is how easy it can go sometimes, somebody walked through the door with a big bag of KFC. I literally stood up in the room and went 'I love KFC oh oh ohhhh' and then we literally sung a song about chicken for 2 and a half hours. This is on the internet, by the way, you can YouTube this. Then we changed the lyrics to 'Midnight Memories' and toured the world with it for 3 years! That's no lie. That's on the internet if you don't believe me!"

"When we were in One Direction, we literally didn’t stop making records. So we’d come home and we’d have two weeks to write the album. Then we’d record the album and then on our last tour we’re already selling another."

"I had the most random one ever once before. I went to Africa with Ant Middleton for a show to go and survive in the wild. We had to travel from the airport like 6 hours out into the wilderness in Africa and we stopped at like a random petrol station and I thought ‘I’ll be fine, no one is gonna know who I am here’ and I was dressed as Indiana Jones so I thought I’d get away with it. I get out of the car and the first person I walk through was like ‘One Direction’. I was like ‘Yes, that is my name. That’s what I go by now’."

"I’ve been heckled in foreign languages. I didn’t really tour for the last couple of years that I’ve been making records. I’ve kinda just been doing different corporate gigs and different festivals. Sometimes when you turn up to places there’s a lot of angry young men there who don’t like me very much. I once turned up at this one gig in one place and oh my god I can’t even remember where I was. And the guy was like DJ-ing before me and I knew that my set was half quicker songs, some slow songs and whatever else. And this crowd are on a different planet to the planet that I’m on and they’re ready to [Liam imitating dance beats] and I’m like oh my god can this guy get off the stage quickly because the more he pumps them up the more anticlimactic the middle of my set is gonna be. And it must have been a crowd where I just didn’t really see it coming and it’s like, the crowd was like 90% male. So I got on the stage and there was not really anybody here is on my team right now and they started heckle me in a foreign language so I thought ‘Well, this one is just for me.’"

"This was actually a song [Wonderwall by Oasis] for me that it’s like one of the first songs I ever sang as a kid. From about the age of, I think I was 10 or 11, this is where my singing career started. The funny thing to me about this song is the brothers who were in Oasis, Noel and Liam, obvious I was a massive fan of them and I think their whole reputation on their career has been built on them kind of being a bit bad boys. Obviously, we were such a young band around that time and we didn’t realize how big fans we might be, Louis from my band was a massive fan of Oasis. And they couldn’t have said more horrible things about us. We had a fight with one of them at the BRITs once. I mean he told me off after we won a BRIT award and I was like ‘You can’t tell me off after I’ve won a BRIT award’ like what was I supposed to do?"

"We [One Direction] were supposed to go to see Barack Obama on the Easter Egg Hunt once at the White House. But we missed it because we had to go Australia. And I've never been like ugh. Easter eggs with the Obamas... Imagine!"
