So we know our LLS trio (Love, Lust and Spring) most of the times travels together on a parrot. Which people interpret as Suka that parrot being just giant af.
But... What if it's not the parrot that's giant, but rather our trio that's just smol? Like those Tinkerbell or Barbie fairies if you know..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To support my headcanon,
Also won't this be interesting? Seeing as the arrival of spring is often noticed by butterflies flying around. Which are also smol insects.. so Vasant with butterfly wings maybe 👀 not necessarily though.
And it would also be easier for Kamdev to just shoot at anyone, if he's tiny.
Not that they have to be tiny forever, because from what we know atleast all the Hindu Devi Devtas can change appearance.. (atleast that's how it should be) so just when they are travelling.
It would also go with that other headcanon, that Vasant's vahan is a insect (mostly a butterfly) or rather just a flower (a red lotus maybe)
What do you think?
YKW I HAD THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE
Like yeahhh what if they were fairy-sized and shapeshifting all the time to be sneaky af
Like I imagined, for example, Shiva to be like Aurora and these three just flying around him like those three fairies.
Tumblr media
Green - Rati
Red - Kama
Blue - Vasant
Yk??
ANYWAYS I LOVE THIS THEORY SO MUCH AJAKASKSJSJ

The Story of Solah Shringar
Tumblr media
The Indian bride is the epitome of grace, elegance, and beauty. Her attire and traditional Indian bridal jewelry catch every eye and leave a lasting impression on everyone. While her wedding outfit accentuates her best features, her Indian bridal jewelry adds a subtle shine and a touch of sophistication to her entire look.
As per tradition, the Indian bride embellishes herself with 16 adornments on her wedding day. These adornments are called Solah Shringar. This ritual has been practiced since ancient times and is an integral part of bridal preparations.
The story behind the Solah Shringar features Rati, the wife of Kamdev, the Hindu god of love. Rati engaged in severe penance to appease Goddess Lakshmi. She was then blessed with the 16 adornments from Lakshmi and wore them to impress and marry Kamdev.
Tumblr media
16 adornments (16 sringar)are
1. Sindoor
The first adornment is Sindoor, also known as kumkum or vermillion. Sindoor holds a special place as it marks the beginning of a woman’s new journey as a bride. Sindoor is applied by the groom on the forehead between the hair partition of the bride. The bride then continues to wear sindoor throughout her married life.
2. Hair care (Kesh Sringar):
We now focus on the ‘Kesh’, or hair. The Indian bride embellishes her hair using fragrant flowers and glittering headpieces. Traditionally, the bride made three braids that represented three holy rivers, Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati, and the trinity of the Hindu gods Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh. The fragrance of flowers keeps the bride fresh throughout the day and her Indian bridal jewelry embellishes her hairdo, adding another layer of elegance and beauty to her overall look.
3. Maangtika
The part of the forehead where the maangtika rests is believed to be the home of Ajna Chakra or the third eye. When the bride wears the piece of Indian bridal jewelry on her special day, she is believed to be connected with her third eye and has the ability to control her emotions and activate her knowledge, wisdom, courage, and willpower.
4. Bindi
The bindi also takes us to the third eye. Bindi comes from the Sanskrit word bindu, which means ‘point’ or ‘dot’. The bindi is closely associated with improving concentration and retaining energy. It is one of the most popular adornments worn by the Indian bride and is known internationally.
Tumblr media
5.Kohl or Kajal
From the forehead, we move to the eyes. Kohl, kajal, surma, kanmashi, kaadige, kaatuka, and kan mai are some names for one of the oldest natural beauty products in the world. Kajal accentuates the eyes of the bride and is believed to ward off the evil eye in various cultures. The darkening around the eyes also protects the wearer from the harsh rays of the sun.
Kajal is an essential element of the solah shringar and makes the eyes look more prominent. It is undoubtedly a beautiful way to enhance the natural beauty of the bride.
6 .Karn Phool or Earrings
A wedding day look cannot be completed without a set of dangling earrings. Karn Phool is a Sanskrit term that translates to ‘flower of the ears’ and is an essential part of the solah shringar.
7 .Nath(nose ring)
The nose ring is another beautiful element of the Indian bride’s attire and is a symbol of valor, fertility, and spirituality. The large nose rings hooked onto the hair with a chain take the bride a step closer to creating her ideal look. It is one of the most ethnic elements of Indian bridal jewelry and a wedding day look is surely incomplete without it.
8 .Haar or Necklace
The one thing that brings the whole look together is the necklace. Necklaces are said to represent safety and abundance and are believed to help the wearer control their emotions better. Some necklaces feature specific motifs or gemstones that are believed to bring good luck and ward off evil spirits.
Tumblr media
9 .Bajuband
This element of traditional Indian bridal jewelry is worn on the upper arm. The bajuband is believed to keep evil spirits away and protects the wearer. The Indian bride can embellish her wedding outfit with all sorts of armbands that are encrusted with diamonds and other colorful gemstones.
10 .Bangles, Bracelets, Choodiyan
Bangles and the Indian bride are inseparable. They’re a part of traditional Indian bridal jewelry that a woman always wears. It is believed that bangles and bracelets bring health, luck, and prosperity to the wearer and are more than a jewelry item or accessory for the traditional Indian woman. There are various wedding ceremonies related to bangles and bracelets across cultures that show us their significance in Indian culture.
11 .Hathphool and Aarsi
The hathphool is a clever mix of a bangle and a ring. Bringing the best of both together, this element of traditional Indian bridal jewelry embellishes the hand and wrist of the bride. The interesting crossover of the two pieces surely adds more flavor to the wedding day look.
A thumb ring known as Aarsi is also worn by some brides. Aarsi contains a small mirror. This mirror allows the bride to catch a glimpse of the groom since she is covered in a veil and cannot see the groom’s face.
12 . Mehndi
Henna, commonly known as mehndi, is undoubtedly one of the most amusing parts of a traditional Indian wedding. It is believed that mehndi brings good luck and joy to the bride. The darkness of the mehndi represents the strength of the bond between the bride and the groom. The solah shringar of the bride is incomplete without her hands and feet embellished with beautiful mehndi designs that add to her overall wedding day look.
Tumblr media
13 . Kamarband (waist band)
The use of the kamarband, or waistband, is scarce in North Indian weddings but it is an important part of a South Indian bride’s trousseau. The piece of Indian bridal jewelry is adorned with gemstones and is used to accentuate the female’s body and keep her bridal saree in place.
14 . Anklets and Toe Rings
Commonly known as payal and bichhu, these elements of traditional Indian bridal jewelry embellish the feet of the bride. Payals can be recognized by the beautiful chime sounds they make whenever the bride walks. Toe rings are seen as a sign of marriage and a bride wears them until the death of her husband.
15 . Itar
Itar is the perfume that a bride applies to freshen her aura and stay fragrant throughout her special day.
16. Wedding Outfit
Finally, the one thing that clubs every element together and brings the bride’s imagination to life is the wedding outfit. The traditional Indian bride wore the classic red wedding outfit but with the evolution of Indian weddings, other colors have started to take center stage as well.

Hello, hello everybody!
I hereby bring to you...the very first fic of Vasantblr!
I hope you all enjoy and dont hesitate to leave your thoughts on this! 😁
Soft is not weak
Summary : 2 Times Vasanta was someone's friend and the one time...he was someone's worst nightmare
Tags : No Archive Warnings Apply
Word Count : 1682
1. Arjun
Arjun became friends with Vasanta when he was once on a stroll with Madhav.
They had been roaming around the market when the exotic and sweet smell of various flowers hit their noses and they decided to follow the enchanting scent to its source.
There was a shop of flowers and the man who was selling them had a bright smile on his face, beckoning anyone and everyone to buy his flowers.
As they got closer to the shop, Kanha narrowed his eyes at the man as he got a feeling that he had seen him somewhere. And then, it struck him.
“Nalin?” Madhav called out suspiciously as he approached him, leaving Arjun in confusion.
The man, Nalin, looked at the voice and turned his head towards them. His smiling face faltered for a bit in confusion and then brightened up even more if possible.
"Madhav!”
Nalin rushed to Madhav and picked him up in a tight embrace.
"Nalin, you can put me down,” the dark skinned man told him in a strained voice, being thoroughly hugged and suffocated by him.
“It's been so long since I have seen you!”
Arjun was almost sure Madhav was about to die of suffocation, the way he was turning blue, so he prepared to pull Nalin away if he had to but thankfully, the said man put him down that instant.
Madhav gasped for a few moments, trying to catch his breath as the man kept on chatting to him, oblivious to his friend’s near death experience.
“This is…Arjun….by the way,” Kanha introduced him between gasps, the overjoyed man’s gaze now turned to him. “Tritiya Pandava of Hastinapur and the best archer in the world.”
Arjun blushed at the comment but held out a hand to shake. Nalin shook his hand, thankfully, and led him to his shop.
He explained excitedly about all the flowers, their details and everything and anything about them.
His excitement and happiness was contagious and soon, Arjun got caught into it too, laughing and smiling along with him.
*
Needless to say after the encounter, Arjun decided they would be really good friends and thus, started to visit him more often whenever he was in Dwarka.
He was caught in the man’s radiant aura, happy-go-lucky attitude and sweet humor and started loosening up a bit more.
Arjun was glad that Nalin had become one of his closest friends along with Madhav.
As for Madhav, whenever he would sometimes visit Nalin without him, it would amuse the man too much.
He didn’t know why he would be so smug whenever he met Nalin alone but got jealous for anyone else but decided to not pay it too much attention.
*
Until he got his answer at his wedding to Subhadra where Vasanta was invited too.
“Say Nalin,” Parth asked him in full mischief. “Don’t you think our Parth needs more flowers?”
He said, referring to Arjun who was covered till his waist in flowers while Subhadra was giggling at the small shower of petals raining on her gently.
“That is such a great idea!”
It was then Arjun decided they were no longer friends as exactly one breath later, he was seeing, breathing, feeling and smelling only flowers.
“Are you okay, Parth?” Vasant’s voice called out to him.
In response, he only gave him a thumbs up from inside the hurricane of flowers.
He might not like the man for his antics, but Vasanta was such a sweetheart that Indra would curse him to hell and back if he even thought of saying ill about him.
He only wished Vasant would stop hanging out with Madhav.
2. Kama
One fine day, Vasant had found Kamdev with his head in his hands and looking absolutely desolate.
“Manmatha?”
The said god looked up to him with unshed tears in his eyes.
“What is it?! Is something wrong?!” Vasant asked him, alarmed.
He mumbled something gibberish but Vasant could make out the “Rati” from his nonsensical gibberish.
It was no news to him that Kama was trying to woo Rati as he was smitten with her but so far, he had no luck. And if he deduced right, Kama was moping exactly about that.
“Manmatha,” he said softly. “Say it all again, but louder and clearer.”
“I want to impress Rati and we are going to meet at sunset today,” Kama replied, still wearing the same expression.
He gasped at that. “That is such great news! But why are you sad?!”
“Its because the place we are meeting at is a desert and I found out from one of my doots that she loves flowers!” He wailed. “She said, she was returning to her home and that place is the only place she would be able to meet! How will I woo her in a desert of all places?!”
He wailed again and buried his head again in one of his hands.
And so did Vasant. Not out of desolation but experasation.
“And did you forget that you are friends with the literal God of Spring?” Vasant asked, removing his hand from his face and totally calm but still experasated at him. “I don't know, you could just ask me to create that desert into a springfield?”
“Wait, will you do that for me?” Kama looked up at him, hopeful.
“Only to stop your moping like a rejected lover.”
*
True to his word, Vasanta went there with Kama before sunset and with a little bit of focus and mumbling of mantras, the desert with oceans of sand was now turned into a springfield.
The field contained flowers of different and all kinds and the air was filled with their scent instead of the dry sand and the winds’.
When Rati had almost arrived, Vasanta quickly dived behind a bush and watched everything unfold.
Rati was astonished and happily surprised to see the flowers. She ran through the field of flowers with laughter and beamed at Kama with happiness.
Manmatha could only smile at her shyly as he saw her radiant, unabashed happiness because of him.
Or more likely, because of Vasant.
*
In conclusion, Vasanta was hugged so rigorously by Manmatha that he had turned blue and would have surely died if he didn't choose that moment to put him down.
While Vasanta was still catching his breath, gasping loudly for oxygen, Kama stayed unaware of it all, still giddily talking about how Rati had started to fall for him.
Vasanta now wished he hadn’t helped him.
+1  The Asurs
There was a war going on in Devlok and Vishnu, as usual, had to sit on the sidelines, while Indra led the Devlok army against the asuras.
It was their usual routine: some asur, who had nothing better to do with his life, sat meditating to Shiva for years to ask for a powerful boon.
Shiva, impressed by the devotion (and learning no lesson from his previous encounters), granted it to the asura and now, that asura had come with an army to overthrow Indra.
When Indra had to come to them for help, all he and Brahma could do was to give a look to Shiva before promising he would send the devas for help.
This boon forbade him, Shiva, Brahma and many other Gods and Goddesses from laying a finger on any asuras and currently, the fight was not on their side as the devlok army was getting injured badly.
He was getting worried because if they lost this war, the asurs would truly take over the Devlok and they were only a breath away from it happening.
Suddenly, he got a bright idea and summoned Naradmuni.
“Summon Vasant for me.”
So what if he cannot fight the war? He can certainly find loopholes to tilt this war in their favor.
*
As soon as Vasant was summoned, Vishnu deliberately moved in front of a dangerous attack to take it for himself and cried out as much as he could to get Vasanta’s attention.
He really was injured but played it up just a bit extra as Vasanta’s eyes widened and he rushed to him.
“Deva! Deva! What happened?! Are you okay?!” Vasanta cried out as he took him in his arms and laid him gently on the ground.
“I don’t know,” he weakly whispered. A half lie. But not totally because the attack was indeed dangerous and found himself losing conciousness.
“No, no, please, no,” Vasanta begged to him tearfully but Vishnu only smiled at him before he fainted, hoping Vasanta did what he had to.
As soon as his friend passed out in his arms, Vasanta called one of the soldiers and asked to get him away safely.
Then taking a deep breath, he summoned a spell with anger.
A vine shot out of his hand, grabbing the asur suddenly by the neck that had attacked Vishnu and choking him for a good measure before snapping his neck.
This attracted some other asurs who charged towards him and met the same fate as the first one, being bombarded, suffocated and killed with the vines that Vasanta unleashed on them.
Very soon, Vasanta took on the entire army by himself, using flowers, leaves vines and creepers to kill every single one of the asurs.
The entire Devlok could only stare in awe at Vasant’s fighting prowess, the usually gentle and happy-go-lucky God now unleashing his lethal side to the fullest and lay waste to the entire army.
The finale was even more spectacular.
The asur who had asked for the boon was being killed by first being tied up with the creepers and then, getting stuffed with flowers inside his throat until he suffocated slowly to his death.
Vasanta only looked at the Devas with the same look he had killed the entire asur army with, making everyone flinch in fear, and then, proceeded to go to check on his friend.
*
After that war, needless to say, no one in the Devlok or Paatal lok underestimated or mocked Vasanta for being gentle ever again.
After all, the underestimation of Vasanta from the Asur was what had got him and his army killed and Vishnu had used that loophole to the fullest.
Narayan only smiled at the entire turn of events.

Apsaras
What they are:
-> Nymphs who posses some divine power, a part of the divine ladder in the hindu pantheon
-> personification of art forms of dance, which they represent by dancing (y’know, kinda like how Indra represents being a king by sitting on the king’s throne :/)
-> Dancers amongst the court of gods because dancing and certain other arts are what they govern and genuinely enjoy depicting their skills in their house (again, kinda like how Kamdev enjoys making people fall in love or how gandharvas love playing instruments)
-> Married women who dearly love their respective husbands i.e. the gandharvas aka divine musicians, an allegory to the relation between music and dance.
-> Female dieties respected by gods and goddesses whom they dance for because dancing wasn’t seen as scandalous in ancient hinduism, it was just another form of art unless being explicitly used for seduction.
-> a kind of lower deity that you have to respect like every other deity because they will curse shall you dare cross your limits (remember: Raavan)
What they are not:
-> Sexy ladies you get after you reach heaven in hinduism (which you won’t if this is your thought process)

Title: Worship of an Atheist URL: https://archiveofourown.org/works/42550884 Author: Doodles_of_the_last_page Rating: Explicit Warnings: None Summary: “Shush…” Ram soothed, “I’ll take care of you now jaan.” He sat up, straddling the younger man who was looking at him with lidded eyes, spread over the mattress like kamdev incarnated. “You just stay there looking pretty.” Ram winked, lifting himself up to take off Bheem’s kurta. My comments:
This is so wonderfully-written, so them in the back and forth exchange of who is in ‘control’ and I adore that. I loved Ram’s speech about being an atheist but being allowed to worship Bheem for one night. Just gorgeous! [If you read the fic, please comment! Comments don’t have to be essays; a keysmash or string of emojis is better than silence!] [Please remember to REBLOG this post!]

Arjuni and Vasant childhood besties!AU
"Act more like a girl, you disgrace!" Kunti had shouted as she slapped her youngest daughter. Kunti, the princess of Kuntibhoja had started to vent her anger on especially her daughter after the death of her husband and co-wife. She would not let her other children to protect their sister.
Arjuni said nothing, as she got up from the ground. She would not let her mother stop her from doing the things she loved. Yet Arjuni loved her mother dearly, and it hurt. It hurt to be abused by her mother for no reason at all.
Kunti was about to hit her again when Arjuni ran out of the room, without saying anything else. Kunti scoffed angrily and walked away.
Meanwhile, the youngest Rajkumari of Hastinapur ran. She ran as fast as she could, not knowing or caring where. She stumbled upon a deep forest with a beautiful lake, harboring beautiful, fully bloomed lotuses. Arjuni's body became weak as she vented all her bottled up emotions.
As the princess was sobbing heavily, she didn't realise the the environment turning around her into that of the time of Spring. The trees became greener and more full of life, the flowers bloomed and the nearby birds were singing with delight.
"Hey...hey..psst! Hey! Are you alright?" Arjuni heard someone ask something to her. She looked up and saw a beautiful...boy? He had beautifully shaped eyes, light-red coloured skin with dark hair, with a small, pretty lotus tigged in between his locks, just above his left ear.
"W-who a-re yo-you?" She managed between her sobs. That boy smiled at her. "Oh me? I am Vasant! The companion of Kamdev! So, why are you crying?" Arjuni blinked at him before she realised...this was RITURAJ VASANT, THE god of spring. "I am sorry for-".
"Eh, no need ro apologise, Rajkumari. But answer my question first." Arjuni blinked at him again. "I was crying because...." and told the God of Spring about it all, while being in control of her emotions.
"Aww...poor you...you are only nine summers old. Say, do you want to be my friend?"
It took a little while to process that statement in that brilliant brain of the girl. "What in the heavens— i am just a mere mortal i can not be friends with a god!" Arjuni exclaimed.
"You are not a mere mortal though...but i can be your friend if you want to!" Rituraj grinned at her. "Alright....i agree to be your friend!" Arjuni then ginally grinned after crying for who knows how long.
"Also, whenever you need me, call me and i will appear!" Vasant patted her head. "Bye Arju!" And Vasant dissappeared from there.
And from there was the start of a divine friendship
I tried okay!? 😭😭😭😭🤧🤧🤧✨️✨️❤️‍🩹
AWWWWW I LOVE THIS SO MUCH 😭😭😭

Who is vasant?
Omgg thanks for asking 🥹
Tumblr media
He's the God of Spring and Flowers in Hindu Mythology. He always roams with Kamdev and Rati (the God of Love and his consort the Goddess of Lust) basically third wheeling them – so we came to the conclusion he is the God of third wheeling too.
There isn't enough texts about him actually so here in Tumblr we created a cult in his name... “The Cult of Rituraj Vasant 🌷🌸🌹🌺🌻🌼🏵️💐🥀🪷🪻”
From what I've found out, he's called Rituraj which literally means the King of Seasons. So ofcourse conclusion he's the King of seasons too.
Here's more info
Other than that every lore about him is created on Tumblr only.. do ask @h0bg0blin-meat to know more about him. He's the one who started this Vasant propaganda first.
See this posts - Cult Rituals, Vasant goes ham with flowers, Vasant and Krishna platonic headcanon, Vasant in Ramayan, Kamadev and Vasant and everything under the vasant tag to get to know him more..
There's even an rp blog for him @flower-boi
There are a lot of other blogs too that talk about Vasant as much as I do, check out those too (sorry for not tagging everyone)
And join the cult :)
All Hail Rituraj Vasant

Hi! I was wondering are there any mantras for attracting someone. Like you mentioned in the ask about Venusian men that they'll find you and generally not vice-versa.
Kamdev mantra 👀 is a general attraction (romantic attraction) mantra that can be used to attract a partner
Idk 🧐??? if there are specific mantras to attract specific planetary types 🤔 but I think in general,, we attract our intentions 👀 and in other ways, we attract who we are AND the opposite of it as well 👀
