If the father of the devotee has died, then the devotee must go bald.
Now one must perform Sankalp at the Shamsaan, which is located behind the Shiva temple at Trimbakeshwar.
Now the 5 Kalash and deities are worshipped
The next step involves Havan and Agni.
Then one must offer 11 pinda for Shraadh Lord Vishnu, 5 pinda for Shraadh for Lord Brahma and 1 for other gods. 1 pind is also offered for the crows to eat.
The next pinda pooja is performed.
Now a human doll is placed on top of the coconut, followed by worshipping with mantras.
Once done, it is burned, indicating the removal of negative effects.
2. About the Second Day
The devotee again takes a holy dip and wears new clothes at the same place.
Next, the person must revisit the shamsaan. There, the Sanpindh Shraadh is performed for the human doll that was burned on the first day.
Now one must worship a snake idol by placing it on wheat flour.
Once done, the snake is burned to nullify all the doshas and ill effects.
At the end of the ritual, Om Namah Bhagvate Vasudeva is chanted.
3. About the Third Day
On the third day, Lord Ganesh is worshipped, and the Ganesh Pooja is performed.
Next, worship of the small golden deity of a snake is done.
The pooja ends with chanting Om Namah Bhagvate Namah.
