Thinking about the desiness of just sitting in your balcony scrolling through Pinterest, and thinking about poetry. Why is it that poetry comes to me when I least expect it, like love? I mean, I was just sitting outside minding my own business, thinking about the horrors of living on my own, while also imagining the ultimate DDLJ life Kajol lived in London and suddenly it hit me. That I’ll no longer have the privilege to feel Diwali like I did, to celebrate Holi in the lanes of my city, to eat pani puri from the nearby shop, to go on shopping sprees at clock tower, to just go on random walks and appreciate the heritage of my city. Isn’t it sad? Yes it is, but I also cannot wait for Christmas to happen to me, to feel the chilling winters, and hot chocolate and warm blankets and law studies and polo matches and art gallery dates. Oh I can’t wait to feel alive again, while also feeling like a version of me is dying…slowly.

Megan and Iseul take the B train back to the spice district once the show is done. The train is mostly empty by this point and they have a whole row to themselves. Iseul sits and Megan plonks down next to her, fanning her slightly sweaty face and taking off her glasses to wipe off the sweat gathering on the bridge. “It’s so hot.” She grumbles and Iseul grins. “Yeah, thank gods the AC is on.” She says. After Megan catches her breath and the train starts to move out of the arts district station, Iseul leans closer to her. “I had an amazing time, Megs. Thanks for coming with me.” She says, looking into Megan’s eyes. “Me too, Is. I’m tired as hell now but I had so much fun.” She says as Iseul smiles. “We should do it again sometime.” She says and Megan nods, grinning. “Definitely.” She says.

They continue to talk, and Megan mentions that her wife Tess is on a wilderness retreat with her wolf pack and their ally pack, the Moonwood Collective. “The MC says it helps them connect to the earth and moon, which her pack leader Rory think it’s cheesy as hell but it helps the packs bond and they have two nights of running around in their werewolf forms and camping and making s’mores and hiking and such.” Megan says. Iseul nods, stifling a yawn. “Sorry, I’m not bored just tired, but that sounds amazing. What about Emmy? Is she staying at home with her aunties?” She asks and Megan grins. “She’s sleeping over at her friend Kiran’s house and their parents will drop her off tomorrow at 3pm or so.” Megan says and Iseul smiles.

Then, Iseul brings up that she’s heading to Megan’s parent’s house next week. “Your mom and are dad are going to make food and I’m going to bring them some Korean sweets from my favorite bakery. I hope it’s not too weird, your parents are so kind and supportive and it’s nice to have parental figures to talk to and get advice and such.” Iseul says, her eyes turning slightly sad and wistful before she smiles and Megan’s eyes soften. “It’s not weird, Issy. I’m glad they’re there for you.” She says, reaching over to take Iseul’s hand and squeezing it gently. Iseul lost both parents in her twenties, and Megan can’t imagine how painful it must be for her. “I just hope they don’t show you my goofy photos. They’ve already shown them to Amira, Kajol, Zara, Tess, and all my kids.” Megan half jokes. “Now I'll have to see them too. I mean as your best friend I should have stuff to tease you with.” Iseul teases as Megan laughs. “Okay. When I hang out with your brother next Saturday I’ll ask him to show me all your cheesy childhood photos too.” She says as Iseul’s eyes widen before she laughs. “Damn, okay Liao,” she says.

After a minute, Iseul asks “MJ invited you over?” and Megan nods. “He and Paenji invited me, Tess, and Emmy over for dinner.” She says and Iseul smiles. “He’s like an older brother to me, plus he reminds me so much of you.” Megan says, blushing a bit as she realizes what she’s said. “I’m glad, Megs. So, how does he remind you of me?” Iseul asks. “He’s funny and sweet and makes me laugh like you do. Plus, everytime I see him make a certain face when he’s concentrating it makes me think of you or the way you both run a hand through your hair to look cool. Although he does it for Paenji and you do it for Gracie.” Megan says, grinning as Iseul laughs. “You think about me a lot, Liao.” She teases and Megan grins. “I just happen to observe things, Kang.” She teases, trying to hide a blush as she looks away. A voice announces that their stop is next, and Iseul gets up before offering Megan a hand. “Come on, Megs.” She says as Megan takes her hand and gets up and they move closer to the door.

At last he reached the hotel "Radisson Blu Resort" the board read. He was fascinated by the hospitality of the people, the receptionist greeted him by joining her palms together, bowing down slightly and by uttering "Vannakkam" with a huge radiant smile. He noted that she was wearing a bun with kajol lining her hazel eyes, red coloured lipstick and a Bindi. The attire he tried to remember 'What was it again'........'Ah a Saree' he guessed.

His room was big with a four-poster bed, an AC and a view with the seashore and the temple 'Mesmerizing he thought with the sun in the background it looked glorious.

He took out his phone to capture the view but was met by his sister's call. He immediately picked it up.

"Tom!!!", a joyous voice he immediately recognized yelled.

After answering Sarah, informing that he had arrived safely and had a good flight, he had a hearty dinner consisting of meals which he would admit were a bit spicy but mouth-watering and tasty and a cold shower. The British actor drifted off into a dreamless sleep.
