Ciao tutti!
Wat een eerste week; er is nog steeds geen duidelijkheid vanuit de verhuurder van het appartement (niet dat ik anders had verwacht). Ze reageren niet op appjes en nemen hun telefoon niet op...
In de tussentijd maak ik het mezelf gewoon lekker thuis in het appartement waar ik nu zit. Ik heb deze week vooral tijd besteed aan het verkennen van de buurt en de stad.

Ik stap tot nu toe iedere dag op mijn trouwe tweewieler om nieuwe routes te ontdekken. Ik hoop op die manier de weg een beetje te leren kennen. Naast fietsen ga ik ook één keer in de 2/3 dagen een stukje hardlopen om mezelf fit te houden ondanks alle pizza's, en om uiteraard nieuwe delen van de stad en de buurt te zien.
Omdat ik tot vrijdag geen school had, had ik mezelf deze week een doel gegeven: ik MOEST mijn eigen espressobar vinden! En... dat is gelukt!
Ik ben helemaal fan van espressobar Mamusca: espressobar, bibliotheek, kledingwinkel en flexwerkplek in 1! en dat alles op 20 vierkante meter en koffie voor €1, wat wil je nog meer?
Afgelopen vrijdag was het zover: de introductiedag.

Ik had er uiteraard heel veel zin in, want ik was al een week helemaal alleen in een vreemde stad waar ik niemand kende.
Bij binnenkomst werd ons gevraagd om een soort contract te ondertekenen waar de schoolregels en andere belangrijke zaken, zoals de dresscode (wat ben je voor modeacademie als je geen dresscode hebt), instaan. Nadat we dit hadden ondertekend, mochten we het lokaal binnen.
Er zit 1 andere jongen in mijn klas en daar ben ik naast gaan zitten. Hij heet Matthew en komt uit Ierland. Verder zijn er een stuk of 30 klasgenoten en ze komen vanuit heel de wereld: Cambodia, Suriname, India, Canada, Chili, Zuid-Afrika, Egypte, Australië en zelfs Rusland. Iedereen had er heel veel zin in!
Na de introductiedag ben ik met Matthew en zijn huisgenoot (die ook bij ons op school zit maar een andere opleiding doet) wat gaan drinken. Met hen ben ik uiteindelijk beland op een huisfeest ergens in de stad waar allemaal kunstenaars uit Milaan verzamelden. 4:00 kwam ik thuis bij mijn appartement. Het is een gezellige naborrel geweest dus ;)

Ik ben net klaar met de oriënterende Italiaans toets, waarbij de school kijkt in welk niveau ze je plaatsen voor de Italiaanse lessen. Deze zijn op zaterdagmiddag en komende zaterdag heb ik al een mondeling examen... Het studieleven is echt begonnen

Suhu maksimum harian terpanas terjadi di kota Kumarkhali di distrik Kusthia, Bangladesh, yaitu sebesar 51,2 derajat celsius pada 17 April 2023. Di Indonesia, tercatat suhu maksimum harian mencapai 37.2 derajat celsius di stasiun pengamatan BMKG Ciputat pada pekan lalu. Adapun di wilayah Jawa Timur sendiri tercatat suhu maksimum harian mencapai 35,4 derajat celsius di Stasiun Geofisika Karangkates pada tanggal 24 April 2023. “Suatu kondisi dikatakan gelombang panas apabila memenuhi dua hal, yaitu secara karakteristik geografis dan secara indikator statistik suhu kejadian,” ujar Kepala Stasiun BMKG Klas I Juanda, Taufiq Hermawan dalam siaran persnya, Selasa (25/4/2023). Dijelaskannya, pertama, gelombang panas umumnya terjadi di wilayah yang berada pada lintang menengah hingga lintang tinggi, berdekatan dengan daratan yang luas seperti wilayah kontinental dan subkontinental. Kedua, secara indikator statistik suhu kejadian, menurut Badan Meteorologi Dunia (WMO), gelombang panas atau heatwave didefinisikan sebagai periode cuaca dengan kenaikan suhu lebih dari 5oC dari rata-rata klimatologis suhu maksimum di suatu lokasi, selama lima hari berturut-turut atau lebih. Sementara itu, kata Taufiq, wilayah Indonesia tidak mengalami gelombang panas karena berada di wilayah ekuator dengan kondisi geografis kepulauan dan dikelilingi perairan yang luas. Begitu pula dengan wilayah Jawa Timur yang diapit oleh Laut Jawa di sebelah Utara dan Samudera Hindia yang luas di sebelah Selatan. Dalam sepekan terakhir, suhu maksimum di wilayah Jawa Timur berkisar antara 33 derajat celsius - 35 derajat celsius, yaitu masih dalam kisaran normal klimatologi dibandingkan tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Nilai indeks UV Beberapa waktu terakhir beredar informasi mengenai kondisi suhu udara yang panas dikaitkan dengan fluktuasi nilai indeks UV (ultraviolet). Secara umum, dijelaskan Taufiq, pola harian indeks UV berada pada kategori “Low” di pagi hari; mencapai puncaknya di kategori “High”, “Very high”, sampai dengan “Extreme” ketika intensitas radiasi matahari paling tinggi di siang hari antara pukul 12:00 s.d. 15:00 waktu setempat; dan bergerak turun kembali ke kategori “Low” di sore hari. Pola ini bergantung pada lokasi geografis dan elevasi suatu tempat, posisi matahari, jenis permukaan, dan tutupan awan. Menurutnya, tinggi rendahnya indeks UV tidak memberikan pengaruh langsung pada kondisi suhu udara di suatu wilayah. Untuk wilayah tropis seperti Indonesia, pola harian seperti disampaikan di atas secara rutin dapat teramati dari hari ke hari meskipun tidak ada fenomena Gelombang Panas.
