Fantastic depiction of Van Gogh's Sunflowers for this modern obi.
It's not the first time I post Van Gogh-inspired kimono items, but the textured here are really *chief's kiss*

Whilst drawing Harumi, i realised something about how her gi is folded.
(Kimono’s are folded similarly to gi, which means they follow the same rules as to how to wear them.)
Kimono’s are traditionally worn with the left side over the right, and the only instance where right is over left is for a corpse. In any other occasion, it’s viewed as disrespectful and bad luck.
All of the ninja and any other character has been shown with their gi left over right, even the ghosts don’t wear it that way, though it might be difficult to see with how much is covering the front of their clothes.
Harumi and her emo ahh is special.
Pre-resurrection Harumi wore her gi like how a corpse would, possibly indicating to how she had died alongside her parents all those years ago, how she will bring misfortune to Lloyd and the other ninja’s life, or as a way to mourn her dead parents, wishing she was with them.
However.
post-resurrection Harumi wore her gi left over right, rather then how she did before. This could be because she was brought back to life with new hope of achieving what she wants, as well as a way to indicate how she was reborn as a person, how she would change and grow as a person becoming someone who feels regret for her actions and wishes for atonement.
The way her gi was worn before could also be the writers subtly hinting towards her death near the end of the season.
Anyways yeah i realised this whilst drawing her and wondered why it felt so weird drawing her gi the way i was 😭 i love that small detail because it actually seems purposeful rather than accidentally done. Similar to how Lloyd had the green 5 on his hoodie when he was younger.

GEISHA playing a Koto
Scanned from a small glass lantern-slide. Both the saturated red of the carpet, and the largely ignored background, were choices made almost 120 years ago by the colorist charged with bringing a bit of life to the black-and-white image. In this case, the colorist was the wife of the photographer.
MATSUCHI NAKAJIMA (1851-1938) was one of Japan's great pioneering photographers of the Meiji era, and a founding member of the JAPAN PHOTOGRAPHIC SOCIETY. He produced all formats of his day, and is said to have been a perfectionist. Today, he is perhaps best known for his beautiful series of early Lantern-slides of Japan made back in the late 19th Century --- all hand-tinted by his talented, artistic wife, SONOKO.

Classy kaki (persimmon) themed outfit, pairing a muted grey kimono, with an obi with huge persimmons among maple leaves. The matching obidome is so pretty!
OP chose paired this with a beautiful black haori with crows woven in metallic threads. So pretty!
