Oh man, imagine if Gray ended up with anyone other than Juvia.
The fandom would go absolutely insane.
The Juvia stans would riot, and there would be so much backlash and backlash.
But honestly, it would be totally worth it to see the look on Juvia’s face if she found out that Gray was with someone else.
It would be hilarious.

If Gray ended up with another woman, the Juvia stans and the Gruvia shippers would go completely ballistic.
They would flood Twitter and other social media with angry rants, claiming that the series has ruined their precious ship.
They would accuse the writers of being biased and unfair, and they would demand that the show be changed to fit their desires.

I hope you don’t mind, but I’ve got a lot of gruviugh salt that needs to expressed lol. I have a friend who’s mother is Juviugh levels of obsessed with her father. And for everyone who thinks they’ll have a happy family together once Gray finally decides to start one with juviugh, I’ve got a big news flash that it won’t be happy. That juviugh would make it hell for her children, especially any girls. I’ve seen how that dunamic plays out in real life, I have seen the trauma. Pros are deluding themselves if they think it’s going to be a happily ever after
Hi Bonnielass23, I'm so sorry it took me so long to get to you! College has been putting me through the ringer.
But without further ado, I shall finally answer your ask.
Believe me, mon ami, I've got plenty of the gruviugh salt, so you and I are kindred spirits.
And oh... my goodness...
Without knowing too much detail about your friend's family, I am so sorry your friend's dad has to deal with someone who acts like juvia... Really no one deserves to be treated the way juvia treats people... I hadn't even thought about real world examples of juvia marrying Gray, but that is so chilling and saddening that your friend's mom inflicts trauma on her children as an offshoot of her obsession for her husband. My condolences go out to her children as well. I would assume the mom somehow treats her girl kids as rivals for her husband's attention?
How despicable.
People watching FT need to come to terms with how the gr///via dynamic would play out in real life before they start telling Anti-gr///vians that they're dumb and mean for being against this incredibly toxic ship.
I agree, Bonnie, certain Pros are continuously deluding themselves just like their mistress juvia does. It's the only way anyone could think that Gray and juvia together would allow anyone besides juvia a happy ending.... I'm glad you have so much empathy for your friend. You understand the implications and the abuse that occurs. You know what's just.

A concept: Fairy Tail, but without Juvia. No “fixing her character” or the like, literally just the entire manga without Juvia in it. How much changes?
Someone else would have to defeat Meredy and Keyes, I suppose. Gray beat Invel by himself and was doing fine against Briar, and her contributions to the GMG can easily be filled by other characters. She wasn’t involved at all with the Nirvana or Edolas arcs. Her only role in Fantasia was to get petrified and then sacrifice herself. Hmm.
Not much does change, does it?

Erza encouraged Juvia to pursue Grey, even though it seemed obvious that Gray was not interested in reciprocating her advances. This kind of support from a friend like Erza is misguided and unhelpful, as it reinforces Juvia's harmful and inappropriate actions towards Gray. Meanwhile, Natsu's admonishment of Gray for dumping Juvia's butt is inappropriate and shows a lack of understanding of the complexity of the situation. It seems to prioritize Juvia's feelings over Gray's own autonomy and boundaries, which is problematic.
Erza should respect Gray's choice and stop enabling Juvia. It's important that Erza recognizes Gray's boundaries and autonomy, and stops pushing a relationship on him that he has clearly stated he isn't interested in.
Natsu's criticism of Gray's actions towards Juvia in this instance may seem hypocritical, given that Natsu himself left Lucy without any notice, explanation, or apology for an entire year.

Get the fk off of Gray, you w**. Even in the stone age , Juvia has to force unwanted contact on Gray. Speaking of this kind. Well in the original FT, Juvia never respected Grays opinion and just stalked him wherever he goes ,why would she stop doing ugly things in stone age

The fact that Juvia is so desperate to kiss Gray that she resorts to kissing a mirror is just another example of her creepy and unhealthy behavior towards him. It’s not romantic or endearing, it’s just plain weird and disturbing. Her obsession with Gray has reached a point where she can’t even control herself, and it makes me wonder if she ever truly cares about his feelings or wellbeing, or if she just sees him as an object to possess.

It's unfortunate that Juvia often resorts to guilt-tripping and emotional manipulation to try to make Gray feel sorry for her whenever he requests space or sets boundaries. It's an unhealthy dynamic that places undue pressure and responsibility on Gray to manage Juvia's emotions. It can be exhausting and frustrating for him to deal with her tears and emotional reactions whenever he seeks some time alone or tries to set clear boundaries in their relationship.

Juvia is such a goddamn bitch. She's obsessive, controlling, and has no respect for boundaries or personal space. It's infuriating how she just can't take a hint and leave him the f*ck alone. She's a total harasser and a textbook example of an abusive partner."

Wendy, why on earth did you even bother to help Juvia? She’s done nothing but lie, cheat, abuse, and manipulate her way through life. Juvia is a horrible person who doesn’t deserve the kindness and support you’ve shown her. Helping her only enables her bad behavior and excuses her abuse. She’s a toxic individual who brings nothing but pain and suffering to those around her

"Friendly reminder that it was actually Ultear, not Juvia, who gave Gray the power to live. Ultear’s sacrifice and words of wisdom had a lasting impact on Gray’s life and journey, making her a more significant figure in his development than Juvia."

“God, I can't stand those Gruvia shippers who seem to have a one-track mind! It's like every conversation with them revolves around their love for that toxic ship. We get it, you love Gruvia, but for the love of all that's holy, can you talk about ANYTHING else? It's exhausting and beyond irritating to hear 'I love Gruvia' every two seconds. Like, seriously, there's more to life (and to Fairy Tail) than just that damn ship!”
For goodness' sake, it's beyond annoying how some Gruvia shippers obsess over their toxic ship, like it's the only thing they're capable of discussing.
I'm tired of hearing about how they're 'perfect for each other' when their relationship is actually toxic and abusive.

I don’t like how Mashima wrote Gray at all, I didn’t like how submissive he was to Juvia, and it would be so satisfying and refreshing to see Gray openly reject Juvia and state his dislike/hatred of her

Every time Juvia refers to Lucy as a "blonde bimbo," I feel an intense sense of frustration and anger. It's not only disrespectful but also incredibly sexist and demeaning. Lucy deserves more respect and admiration than to be labeled with such a shallow and dismissive term. Juvia's remarks only serve to highlight her own insecurity and jealousy.

You think just because someone labels something as "canon" and "romantic" on Wikipedia, it means it's a good and healthy relationship? Sorry, but no. Gray and Juvia's relationship in Fairy Tail is toxic and problematic, with Juvia constantly disregarding Gray's boundaries and autonomy. It's not just about what's "canon" in the story, it's about recognizing unhealthy dynamics and speaking up against them.
It's clear as day that Gray does not love Juvia. The idea that they have "mutual romantic feelings" is a total lie and doesn't reflect the reality of their relationship at all. Juvia's obsession and toxicity just push him away, and it's obvious that he's not interested in her.
