So I'm watching a playthrough of Thracia, and while Julius doesn't show up a whole lot in it, he's giving me the impression that the reason Loptous was able to influence him so easily is that his head is mostly empty except for "Ishtar pretty," leaving a lot of room to fill with thoughts of murder. Loptous just has to deal with that one thought floating around interrupting things once in a while, otherwise the kid can be convinced of just about anything.

I am eager to see if Genealogy bears this impression out.

2. Scion is actually written linearly! The first scene I put down is the first chapter. Julius waking up on Ishtar’s shoulder is what kicked the whole thing off.

11. Exploring how Julius interacts with everyone has been fascinating. I am also having way too much fun building the Loptyrian cult’s legacy. Loptous is such a fascinating concept for an evil dragon that I have had a lot of fun exploring.

15. Sara was my first real experience writing a character who consistently hears things that others do not. Her point of view has helped me flesh out my writing a ton and dabble in other characters who are clairvoyant or have auditory hallucinations. Also she’s so much fun to write. I need more sassy characters who know more than they should in my stories.

I’m glad that you enjoy the dynamic between Julius and Ishtar so much too, they fascinate me and I’m sure that shows in my writing of them lol. Thank you for the ask!!

I had a dream where Deirdre asked me to meet up with her and asked me to kidnap Julius and Julia before Mandfroy presented the book of Loptous

So I ended up kidnapping them and bringing them to my house IRL, so unless Manfroy or any other character knew how to travel between worlds, I effectively saved Julius from possession :D

but those two kept crying T-T they're five so I get it, but their mother wanted me to do it

(this was probably because I read the manga I guess haha)
