When you finish, you gently peel your eyes open as the roar of hands smacking each other filled the air. You glance around at the beaming smiles of the drunken crowd, to catch his gaze. Dark crimson eyes stared daggers straight through you. He was pissed off. He downed his drink and stormed off to the smoking area. After thanking everyone, you jumped off stage as Jiro started to play her own acoustic set she had prepared. As you reached the smoking area you saw him stood with his back to you, taking a long drag from his cigarette, before exhaling and tilting his head up slightly to the sky.

"What the fuck was that all about?" He didn't even turn to look at you.

"What? It was a cover of a popular song, I know people like it so..." You whimper slightly, trying to push off the embarrassment that you'd just confessed to a couple hundred people in the packed out bar that you were incredibly inlove.

"Writing fucking songs about me now? Tsk. It's pathetic." His back still tensed, his tight black shirt glistening against the fair lights that littered the top of the smoking area.

"I didn't say it was about you, jeez." You try to play off, walking over to him slowly as you pull out a cigarette from your pocket. As you light it, he glances down at you from the corner of his eye, his deep red pupils unforgiving, his jaw tightly clenched before he takes another drag. He rolls his eyes away from you as he exhales.

"Don't be a fucking idiot. I see the way you look at me."

"I don't look at you." You say, trying to keep your eyes transfixed on the neon sign that flickered Infront of you both, terrified to catch his gaze. He turns to you, flicks his cigarette out and grabs your chin forcing you to look up at him. As your eyes meet his, angry flames dance behind his eyes, anger, frustration, with a hint of longing? No, couldn't be, he was beyond pissed but...something shifted in them.

"See, like that." He drops your chin and as your eyes ping to glance at his shoes, you suddenly become aware of how your cheeks flush pink, as they start to burn.

"Right....so I sang a shitty song. So what? It doesn't mean anything, I'm just tipsy and Jiro begged me to sing with her, and it was the first one that popped into my mind so...." As he had turned to walk back into the bar your voice stopped him. He audibly sighed and hung his head low.

"It was nice. Feels kinda good that someone would wanna sing about me I guess. Just....try closer by nine in nails next time." His smirk widened as you saw his cheeks plump up, he let out a small laugh in his usual dark tone then headed back inside. Your heart dropped as you pulled your phone out, youtubed the song and listened to the lyrics.
