The song reaching it’s trailing end already as the dragon collapsed, he made his best effort to catch the much larger Au’Ra before he hit the sand, and ended up falling -with- him. Tugging the man gently into his lap, he stroked gently through his hair. “Really wore yourself out, didn’t you darling...” His voice was barely audible, before he raised it a touch when he looked up towards ‘to. “We need to get him back to the house. He’s going to need everyone when he wakes.” Another few strokes before he was trying to lift the Au’Ra on his own. A soft murmur sounding out. “Have you the strength to help me?”

“What’s one thing that my partners do that make me feel better...?” the Au Ra leaned back some and closed his eyes. A gentle purring and smile crossing his face as he relaxed and his tail would doing a gentle flicking up and down motion “Being there for me... just... sitting around and simply being with me. Whenever I have a bad day... whenever the nightmares come out and bring out the worst in me... all they have to do is just... come and sit by my side.” the gentle purr to his voice as he said that before he chuckled out “Sometimes they purr, sometimes they hum or sing... and sometimes they just sit in silence with me while I lean on them. It doesn’t matter how bad I am... just the sight of them is always enough to make me feel better...”

When it comes down to it the thing that makes him always feel better is just being with his companions and lovers. This little gang of kitties are basically his family and that’s how he sees them (Yes J’areth and Sebha’to are part of the family now okay >>). And if he’s having a truly bad day then he simply turns to one of them and finds comfort just being around them. Cuddles also help but honestly... they aren’t a requirement for making the big dergin man feel better.

Ceremony of Eternal Bonding - Anniversary!

Thank you all once again for coming!  And thank you to everyone that’s stuck around and followed our stuff and just supported us!  It means a lot, seriously.

To be heartfelt for a moment: this ceremony may have been for Swath and Shali, but it was a big thing for Jacques too, and being able to reach out to people that the three of us knew and followed and actually meet so many awesome people really made our week.  Stuff like this is why I love the FFXIV community, and it was so amazing seeing people showing up and reacting to finally seeing each other in-game and having that “WAIT I FOLLOW YOUR BLOG” moment.  It’s heartwarming, and it’s part of why I love being here in this community.  Thank you all once again.

J'areth and his twin brother J'ared were born to J'evon, a particularly aggressive Nunh of the Jackal tribe. Identical twin boys, their mother died in their passing. This was blamed upon them by their father, who proceeded to make their lives EXTREMELY difficult, and dangerous.

A few months into their fourteenth year, their father sent them out of their home on a hunt they were not ready for, and J'ared was killed. J'areth left the tribe soon after. J'areth has spent most of his life surviving with nothing but the memory of his best friend, and brother. He has done everything he can to grow stronger, and learn more, and more, and to live a life that was denied his brother, for J'ared's sake.

It is known within the circles of J, though rarely expressed outside of the tribe, in a rage for the loss of his twin brother, and only friend, he had slaughtered his own father in the middle of their outpost, succeeding him as Nunh before sending his father’s females back to the core of J.

General Information:  J'areth is the sole survivor of a pair of twin boys, born on the very outskirts of La Noscea. He's a fairly outgoing man, often friendly to strangers, rarely judging another by their race, class, or creed. Habitually flirtatious to the point it tends to get him into trouble, he enjoys a well spun story, a good drink and a warm hearth. Appearance:  J'areth is a well toned man, athletic with decent musculature. He stands at 5'9" and weighs in at roughly 145 pounds. Thick, ebony black hair tipped in navy hangs like a mane around a heart shaped face, save for when it's pulled back into a shaggy fox tail at pinnacle of his skull. A strong jaw leads down into a well kept beard, short and shaped. Hetero-chromatic eyes of sapphire and jade watch the world with an air of amusement, and curiosity. over his right eye he has a scar going from above his eyebrow to the crest of his cheekbone, through the eye. The eye itself is un-injured but the scar remains a blemish on otherwise un-tarnished tan skin.

Mannerisms:  J'areth can be from one end of the spectrum to the other. He has been described by some as volatile or moody, and yet others as the gentlest, most calm and kind man they have ever met. Philosophy and Ideals:  "I am the only one who will save me. I am the only thing that keeps me afloat. Maybe I can save a few others while I save myself. Then, It will be a good life."

Well into adulthood now, He has settled into a comfortable life, doing what pleases him, when he can, and pushing ever forwards. Much of his more recent years, he has little recollection of, the war that tore the world asunder robbing him of the memories spanning from his adolescent years to the time he arrived in Ul'dah.

J'areth spent a few months training in Ul'dah, attempting to learn more about hand to hand combat, though now he has begun to train in Gridania, finding himself fond of the deep forests there, and learning to use a bow, which he is almost as fond of as his songs. His most recent endeavors have seen him  in this world and another, traveling betwixt the rift. Some would call it gifted, some /Chosen/... to him.. it is another job to do, a score to settle, a people to protect. One Warrior of many, lost in a sea of stars.
