I LOVEEE THE BONTEN IZANA HCS! so, which part of the body do you think bonten izana would get his tattoo? i've been curious about it for awhile 😭😭

Kakucho etched his tattoo on his chest (near his heart) as symbol of devotion/loyalty toward Izana. I was thinking Izana would do the same thing at first, but then it crossed me-- he might etch his Bonten tattoo on his ribs (the side of his torso).

Why I think so? I heard from someone before that when a person has a tattoo on their rib --specifically the side of their torso-- it symbolizes pain they have been through their whole life and personal acceptance of the darkness inside them. By 'darkness', I mean the suffering, the agony. Once they accept it, they embrace their pain and give up on salvation, acknowledging they are beyond saving.

Izana for sure has come to term with his darkness and decides to embrace it. He gives up on healing, he gives up on finding salvation. He decides to get lost in the madness.

But again, this is my personal headcanon! I like to think deeply of this first and relate it to his story before making headcanon of him sometime.
