Oh, thank you for the ask! Honestly... I always imagined that Alphinaud gave her one of the first Crystal Braves uniforms after the design was finalized as a way of thanking her for her help. That was probably it lol. It had nothing to do with what happened with the crystal braves - she just hated the way it looked. "Alphinaud? I'm really happy all of your dreams are coming true and everything and it was very sweet of you to think of me but - Alphinaud, are you listening to me? I need you to look me in my eyes and understand that I am never, ever going to wear this. It's not because I don't support you it's because it's hideous and would look terrible on me. You get that, right? Anyway, congratulations!"

As (a) runner(s) up, I'm sure at some point someone has gifted her a beginner's guide to Aetherology or a brief history of the Allagan Empire or something like that... Rhiki isn't big on reading or scholarly research so, while it was probably well-intentioned, it would have made her feel a little stupid and also made her wonder if the person who gifted it to her had actually ever met her. Or maybe if they were subtly trying to imply something. In this case she probably smiled and said, "How thoughtful! Thank you!" But in that tone of voice that carries the underlying meaning of Why would you think this is something I would ever want?
