And part of you panics, feeling slightly embarrassed that your crush enemy is witnessing you just heave sobs with your palms pressed against your eyes to halt the tears from streaming down your cheeks. Because what if he gets annoyed? What if he teases you for crying? What if he doesn't care?

He cares more than anyone. K, I watched all of Diamond and Pearl and am now into Best Wishes.

I didn't enjoy Diamond and Pearl as much as I did Advanced. I think all the filler with the usual formula kept me from really loving it. Same problem I had with most of Johto. Yeah, Advanced had filler as well an I didn't absolutely adore it, but I think Hoenn contests, May, the interactions between Ash and the companions of that saga, and the humor kept me entertained. Maybe the English dub lessened my enjoyment of Diamond and Pearl as well. I don't remember laughing at too many of the jokes this saga. Still miss the 4kids dub. I didn't dislike it entirely though. I really liked Dawn! And her interactions with Zoey. She totally had a crush on her. No one can convince me otherwise. I loved my son Barry, of course. He was funny. Oh, and Looker made his first appearance! And he's voiced by Jason Griffith, only elevating my love for him. When things picked up, they really picked up. Specifically the Team Galactic and Hunter J plots. God, J's death was gruesome as far as deaths in Pokemon go. I was shocked they kept it in the dub. Hate to think how 4kids would have handled that if they had still been dubbing the show at the time, honestly. And the final episode was one one the saddest goodbyes in Pokemon history. Period. Probably the best saga wrap up in the show to date. Off course, it also marked Brock leaving for good.... It's kind of disappointing I didn't get into this series as much as a lot of other fans did. Because it had some really good stuff, and Sinnoh is my favorite region.

As for Best Wishes, It's actually pretty interesting so far. I love the interactions between Ash, Iris, and Cilan. Oh, and Cilan is also voiced by Jason Griffith in the dub. The dub itself is actually not bad this season like it was for most of dp and battle frontier. The main character's Pokemon all have unique personalities, and I love Iris. Back off haters. It's pretty quick paced and fun, and we've got an interesting villain plot building up with team Rocket. Not entirely sure how I feel about the trio's more serious personalities, though. On one hand, It's nice for them not to be shoved into every episode as a means of conflict like they were in DP and even most of Advanced. Like, they don't even follow Ash around just to get Pikachu, and they blast themselves off with jet packs now. They also do some secret undercover stuff for the first few episodes, and have a serious mission from Giovanni. It is nice to see them succeeding in their work after constant failures. On the other hand, I could have done with a bit more humor from them. It is a bit jarring for them to go from being comedic and dorky to calm and serious. And I miss Wobbuffet. I know he didn't do much in Advanced or DP and was sort of just there, but something feels missing without him popping out of his pokeball all the time. Guess something just feels off in general about serious rocket trio. I think the writers wanted to try something different, and I'm all for them experimenting. Anyway, I'm almost finished the very first season in Unova, and I can't wait for the arc where Meowth travels with Ash and the others for a few episodes. I'll see how much I like or dislike the saga.
