This was the first time she seen her like this...

The incident itself was traumatizing enough, but Irina didn't expect her to react so strongly. There was a desperate need to protect, embrace, and reassure it won't happen again. If it does, the same results will occur, and intruders will face serious consequences for their actions.

"Don't worry about me. I've faced worse bruises, Winter." She reassured gently. "Are you hurt, anywhere, on your face or arms?" There doesn't seem injuries on her. A sigh of relief coursed through her as she hugged her tightly with both arms. "A trip? To somewhere far away? Oh, well-"

Normally, she would decline, but after a frightening experience, it wouldn't be a bad idea to escape and catch a breather. It's also clever to disappear for a bit, so the authorities won't bombard them with questions.

And with Winter, this is the first time she took a trip with her.

"Here..." She extends her hand out to pull her up. "Let me give my sister a call, okay? I need to let my daughter know, that mom needs to be away." School is imperative, so she can't bring child along unfortunately.

Hands clasped the edges of the blanket to keep them tightly wrapped around Winter's frame. A smooch against her cheek with a gentle smile on her features. "Everything is fine now."

Her words struck an empty heart that can't find a stable partner. No matter how many times she forgets Winter, she's always slithering back into her mind. Irina's ex-boyfriend never gave her affection, almost as if he was a stranger inside the room with no sense of bond or familial appreciation. Winter was someone special back then.

But atlas, she's back into the arms of the devil, but whether or not she realizes, the venom from the woman's hands hasn't been recognized.

It's unfortunate she's immune to those touches.

"You could always trust me to try again, for the second time. If you give me a chance." Her voice gentle with a melancholic expression, her palm cupping Winter's cheek.

Those cheeks and the entirety of her face, ingulfed by Irina's sweet kisses whenever they're cuddling in the dead of night. She desired those acts of affection with days missed after they broke up in the past.

"Winter, listen please. I know i was angry, very angry at your mistakes, but I can't help myself in thinking that it's okay to give someone a chance. Maybe i was too frustrated with myself, and I took it out on you dearie. I'm so sorry..." She wrapped her arms around Winter's neck, her eyes latching onto hers, desperate with the need of belonging in someone's life.

What boils down is a hopeless romantic with an endless desire to seek a second chance, hoping that the both of them can start over, and understand one another in each other's grasp.

Or at least, that what Irina prays for.

A warm smile coursed through her features from her ex-lovers touch, leaning forward for their lips to intertwine under passion momentarily. "Winter, love. I'm very very sorry..." A hushed whisper, a string of sorrow in her words with both hands tangling into Winter's hair.

It was no surprise her lovers lack empathy. In fact, does she feel anything at all in that cold heart? Compared to other people, Winter has a charm that no other can match. She was perfect except that ruthless personality. It's the only downside in this relationship, it was almost disappointing.

"There's nothing wrong in being kind to others sweetie. Some can't make it through without the help of others. I wouldn't be here if I had a family who didn't support me. I'm blessed to have people like that in my life." Her soul's eager to see optimism. As long she puts in the effort within her work, social and love life, there's no reason to fall into a depression.

"And I expect you to understand..." She smooches her cheek. "Please, if you ever need help, please come to me. I won't make fun of you."

Maybe there's a withering light within the pit of Winter's heart. It's barely illuminating the darkness, but she hopes there's a kind person in there.

It didn’t feel right to allow Winter to babysit her precious sunshine of a daughter, but there was no other option since everybody else was unavailable to watch over her. Thus came a defeated sigh, Irina opening the door to her humble abode.

“Mommy!” The child came running over to the front door before looking up at the other woman she hadn't met before. Confused eyes, an index finger to her lip before the tilt of the head curiously. “Mommy, is she going to be my babysitter?”

“Yes, she will.”

An enthusiastic bundle of energy irradiated from the daughter, rushing over to hug Winter's legs.

“I’m sorry. She’s always happy when I bring someone over.” Irina turns to the child before patting her head. “Now, Mommy is going out for some important business that she needs to attend to. Your babysitter Winter will watch over you until I get back. Please behave yourself, okay?” She kisses her forehead before standing up.

“There’s a sticky note that lists down chores on the fridge. Please read it, okay?” She spoke with a firm voice, hoping the other would remember that.

The shelves needs be dusted, or else filth will accumulate further to activate her allergies. Irina made sure to clean every nook and cranny during these laid-back hours of Saturday. She doesn't expect Winter to assist her, considering she's lazy while Irina herself is doing all the work.

"Winter, you can't say that when you're laying down, doing nothing while I'm doing all the work. You're not going to win points by complimenting me like that." She shook her head at Winter in sheer disappointment of her attempt to flatter the woman.

It wasn't common for Irina to drink alcohol, but during a much-needed vacation, it was understandable if she needed a drink or two.

However, that turned to five drinks or more.

"Oh, stooooop~" A playful smack against Winter's arm. "Sweetie, you're the one who looks adorable. I'm sure everyone at your work is jealous, every woman wanting to look just like you~" She wraps her arms around Winter's neck, a bright smile on her features with her face partially red from the drinks she had.

There was a pout now. "No one ever looks at me. I'm not as cute as the others in my work. It's unfair! Unfair!" A whine, giving her kisses all across her face, leaving red lipstick marks all over.

"Oi, if you two are going to make a lovey dovey scene, do it outside. Not in here when we have other customers to serve." The man behind the counter looked at them with an irritated expression on his face.

"No, you can't have her! She's already mine!" She embraces Winter tightly.

Her observation was out of nowhere to say the least. Innocent eyes glazed over to her lover before blinking twice out of confusion. "Winter, i'm trying to dust here. Did you forget to take a nap? Oh wait, yes, i'll get you some melatonin later. That should do the trick!"

There's no mental instability in her core, yet...

Everything feels relatively normal per usual. Depression hasn't struck her as of late. Maybe it's because there hasn't been drama between them yet. Despite their first break up, their second chance in the relationship has been calm for now.

If you make a gigantic mess in the house. For example, clothes laid waste on the floor or food crumbs all over the floor (Eating like an absolute pig) She craves for a household thats nothing but cleanliness, and if someone makes a mess on a daily basis, she will lose her cool eventually. There's limits to her patience of how kind she is.

A year later after Manny died, she started to process her emotions more effectively to manage grief. One of them is acceptance. it doesn't come through immediately, but she got better overtime and had more energy.

Especially, making up more time to be a better mother to her young daughter

She learned to be more assertive in her approach in life.

It’s understandable to be concern of her daughter’s future. At the same time, she is grateful for WInter’s assistance in these financial times. Maybe once, Irina can finally have a vacation from all the burdens weighing on her shoulders.

Half-lidded eyes of fatigue, wiping them before sighing heavily. “Yes, I know Winter, but a mother needs to be worried for their child still. I can’t just accept it out of the blue without knowing for sure.” She leans against Winter’s shoulder, her head resting on top of it with her eyes closed momentarily.

“Work is still a lot lately. I’m very tired, but it’s fine...”

​It’s common to be underestimated by opponents in a fight. She radiates a gentle aura, a lady who won’t bring harm to her students. That doesn’t seem to be the case. She changes into a completely different person when sparring with another person.

Irina didn’t hold back one bit towards Nezumi. She will inflict pain and then treat them to an exquisite coffee shop; as an apology for hurting them accidentally.

“I didn’t hurt you, did I? Here, please come with me in the back, sweetie. I’ll treat those wounds with some ice.” Earlier, her eyes hinted at a feral tiger. They’re now back to the eyes of a purely innocent bunny.

Her presence went unnoticed since there were more people than usual. It was busy today, but that’s joyous, considering there’s more attention to this establishment. Or it could be because it’s a weekend and there’s more free time here.

Luckily, one of her co-workers was kind enough to remind her of Kana’s arrival.

“Looking for me?” Irina stared at her confusingly since she could’ve asked the whereabouts of her trainer. “Oh yes!” Her eyes lit up in enthusiasm. “I remembered! I was wondering when we’re about, to begin with, that!” She clasped the other’s hands together excitedly.

She doesn’t recall the last time she taught advanced techniques to another. It’s always the basics that can get repetitive sometimes. Overall, Irina’s glad to be teaching someone eager to learn.

“If you have any questions, I’d love to answer them. This is exciting! Come with me! We can’t do it in the main room since it’s too crowded.” She walks away to enter a private exercise room consisting of an assortment of equipment.

“I’m sorry, Kana. I get way too excited to teach someone new techniques.”
