“you did wha-” kate did not expect a call from tomas considering they weren't scheduled for another fight until next week. it was an ongoing thing between her and the tracksuit mafia. now hearing they kidnapped yelena? the archer stood still, “you mean to tell me… that you kidnapped a very skilled black widow assassin and there's not even a scratch on you? do you hear how strange that sounds? you should be dead?! put yelena on the phone!”
“she's tied up bro-”
“then put me on speaker, tomas!”

“Shh, James. It’s alright. It was just a bad dream, okay? It wasn't real. Nobody’s gonna’ hurt you. Your angel is watching over you, remember?” James had started crying hysterically in his stroller during the walk home, so Pansy had stopped for a moment to comfort him. It wasn’t long before she became aware of someone standing behind her, so she was quick to turn around, instantly feeling defensive. “Can I help you?”

where. his place? alek's place? wherever this washed up alpha be at, hehe
who. @alekgray
Kayce hadn't slept. Or rather, he wasn't sleeping. For if he did, then the nightmares would settle in. And he'd wake up in a sweat, with his heart threatening to pound itself right out of his chest. So he decided to do that instead with coffee and energy drinks and whatever else he could get his grimy hands on. Exhaustion had settled in, though. He'd been spending most of his days at the shop, giving Rawlins however much time he needed off. Kayce couldn't even say when he had ever spent this much time at the shop before. It likely wasn't the brightest of his ideas, to be working on cars while the darkened circles showed so heavily around his eyes. But since when did Kayce have good ideas?
"There's Wendy's on the counter," he seemed to get out as he fell back onto the couch, a tad more dramatic than it needed to be. "Are you feeling better?" He spoke to the ceiling, as his gaze traced imaginary circles.

who: ash & ror @ruairimacarthy
where: ror's house
ASH LOOKED UP FROM WHERE they were sat on the couch, idly watching tv, as the front door of ruairi's apartment opened. it had been a quiet and calm evening. or, well, as calm as it possibly could be with a kid trying not to fall asleep during bedtime could be. ash always enjoyed it though. their own apartment felt so dreary and dull compared to how full of life ruairi's was. ash watched as ror came home, and they studied him with a teasing interest as they came into view.
they muted the tv, housewives quietening down on the screen. nicole, or shelby, or rebecka, stopped shouting at her supposed friend, mouth only moving in a quiet exaggeration of the action. "fionn fell asleep a few hours ago," they said quietly, smiling up at the other. "what was the emergency this time ? a hot date ? a code not ... i don't know, loading properly ?"

who: liam & toni @tonibeltran
where: o'shea's
SURPRISINGLY, O'SHEA'S WAS PRETTY FULL for a thursday evening, and liam had to push himself through a few groups of people to get to the bar. after getting a beer he fell back to let the people waiting for their turn get in front of him. for a moment, alone and surrounded by all these people, he wondered what he was doing there. everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves and he was just looking for a way to numb the grief steadily building within him. at one end of the bar he could see a slight gap next to a man. he didn't think it was someone he knew, but he could only see a blurry outline of the person. after a quick consideration he figured that that was his best option and made his way over. once he got there he determined that he hadn't met the man before, judging by the faint features he could make out. looked handsome enough, though, liam mused. stepping forward he gave the man his most playfully apologetic smile. "hey, man, do you mind ?"he motioned to the chair next to him. "everywhere else is pretty full."

where. hakan's rave
who. @bishophart
It wouldn't be River's first time at a rave, or a party of such magnitude. But it would be his first time where he wasn't looking for some creature that needed to be put down. Or tailed, or watched with a clear mind. It would be the first time where he could maybe, just maybe, let loose and have a good time. The amount of vampires and demons and other such creatures was alarming enough. Had nearly every nerve on red alert, but maybe a few drinks would ease that. Would calm him down and give him an excuse to not care. A drink was his first thought, and he'd been in the process of getting just that, before another drew his attention.
They hadn't seen much of each other since the nights of the full moon, River's doing. He knew where Bishop would have been at, could have easily gone down to the bar in Dante's. But he'd avoided the place, as if going anywhere near it would get him sick. And maybe it would, because he hadn't quite been able to get that look on Bishop's face out of his mind. But talking about that, or any of it really, wasn't something that River did. So instead, "Didn't exactly take you for the leather type. More of like a skinny jeans type to me."

who: jia & @edwardsthalia
where: caffélicious
JIA WALKED INTO THE CAFÉ, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee enveloping her senses. she chose a corner table by the window and glanced at her watch, excited to catch up with her friend. as she waited, the soft hum of conversation and the clinking of cups created a soothing background. she decided to order for them both, seeing no point in waiting as she knew thalia's preferred order. jia was humming quietly to herself, sipping on her coffee and poking at her pastry, as the door flew opened and she was greeted with the vision of her friend.
jia jumped up from her seat and enveloped her friend in an embrace. "i hope you're okay with caffélicious," she said, mostly as a joke, "i never know which side i'm on in this drama."

where. some bar where bas be drinking himself stupid
who. @bloodxlevent
It's over. Done. Those were only some of the words that Levent had sneered into his face, had cemented into his thoughts within a future that no longer existed. It would be foolish of Bastien to think the eladrin did not remember saying those words. Nor that he decided to not mean them. Their sides had been chosen, their choices had been made. Levent betrayed Pythia, while Bastien had rooted himself beside them. All the visions that the oracle had ever peered into, had ripped from the Graeae's hands were tarnished now. They no longer existed, morphed from all that had happened. And he had not chosen to look into them further, to see if anything would change.
"Let me guess," he mused in a voice heavily accented and slurred as his gaze fell upon the approaching Eladrin, "you are here to tell me, I told you so?" The question hung in the air for a moment, before the witch laughed at his own words.

Lydia had only recently been dismissed from the hospital. Whilst her physical injuries had healed, it was her mental state she was now worried about - and although she knew better than to self diagnose, the only solution she had to explain the voices she was hearing was PTSD. “Please tell me you just heard that.”

closed starter: @dylan-westwick
setting: Fine Arts Club outdoor installment
Thalia let a manicured finger trace along the edge of a display table. While she was happy with the amount of art she already displayed in her townhome, Kathleen told her that there was always space in the University. If there was an art style that properly caught her eye of course. So far the art was quite pleasant but there wasn't something that truly inspired her. "What do you think about something like this? Would this inspire you to study harder?" Thalia asked, turning to the person next to her.

She dipped her big toe into the water to ease the way his voice took her by surprise. The edge he carried on a regular basis wasn't the one Ruolan expected then as well. By her own miscalculation, she should've recalled sooner marriage had been put in the furthest of parts of his mind after a mishap with a female cultivator.
The rumors surrounding that had always passed through her head, so she never remembered the what's or whys behind his blacklisting. It just came across as childish and harmful that no one personally took the time to get to know him. To get to know A-Ling either. Who was as much of a part of J.iang C.heng's life as if he were his own, a trait Ruolan admired in him greatly.
And from the list of requirements for a suitable marriage partner - all of them sounded reasonable to her. It wasn't anything she hadn't heard before from reputable men who sought out matchmakers.
"No, that was a sincere question. I want marriage with you, I want to raise A-Ling with you, I want to have children with you, if it's up for consideration. You don't have to answer now, but if the answer is no, then the answer is no, and I want to know what I am to you in that case." She turned her head to look at him.
