That feeling when, after 33 years of Heavily Implied Situationship, a canon romance is established and then imploded in 3 minutes flat as a plot device to set up the final act of a trilogy for which there is as of yet no confirmed third part.

kinda surprised ive never considered this with the doctor's relationships. like makes sense too bc they actively avoid the boring stuff, the non crisis situations. but now im wondering, when companions are like "why dont you just come over and have dinner from time to time, why dont we just hang out in Not life threatening circumstances", whether the doctor's resistance to that is that theyre afraid that the companion wont like them in those circumstances or whether they wont like their companion

or you know just, they have no idea how to live that. they only know crisis. like theyre saying here, constantly seeking the thrill

i do also like the idea that the doctor's maybe afraid they wont like their companion anymore though. that the boringness of their companion's daily life would be such a turn off that they'd just be like 'um no thanks. bye forever'. like thats a fun thought. that'd be a fun character trait

I seem to have broken down again. I need to make my short movie, but I'm completely exhausted by the idea. Basically, I have a ready-made idea, it doesn't look too bad, it could be promoted, but we're in a foreign and poor country, it won't work here. I don't want to do anything else but this, it's the only thing that would make me happy.
