I still don't think I've been able to work out a definitive answer on whether the birds in this game are bird-sized or human-sized. From context clues I'm leaning more towards human-sized, but there's nothing concrete.

The idea of them being bird-sized is absolutely hilarious to imagine though.

#evidence for human-sized is as follows:#the proportions of the school seem suited for the birds yet still usuable to humans #azami's scooter is able to fit a human. which wouldnt be possible for a bird-sized scooter. and a bird obvs couldnt ride a human scooter #it would be pretty fucking insane to imagine a regular sized bird beheading a human with a cleaver #hiyoko is able to rough house with other character without. like. crushing them on impact #evidence for bird-sized:#at one point in ryoutas route i remember someone mentioning that hiyoko lifted ryouta back into his nest when he was a chick.#this seems like it would be difficult to do for a human-sized bird (though maybe not impossible. with hiyokos hunter gatherer strength)#In shuu's route. hiyoko mistakes yuuyas body for a roast turkey.#we can assume turkeys are just regular non-sentient birds and would still be bird-sized regardless.#and yuuya's body must be similar enough in size to a turkey to be mistaken for one #(unless all other. non-sentient birds are also human sized? or maybe im just thinking too hard into it)#much to think about #hatoful boyfriend
