Hey, word of advice for fellow Madoka fans who are aiming to create some fanmade witches- whether we're talking about witch OCs, witches for OCs, or witches for characters from other existing media;

Don't stress yourself out too much over the details, ok?

Not every decent witch has got to be the next Oktavia, Ophelia, Candeloro, or Walpurgisnacht; you don't have to go above and beyond making sure that every part of them is as detailed as they can be. Even the simplest of witch designs can be just as effective as those fancy gals we saw within canon, if not even moreso in my opinion.

Charlotte is a toy mouse who can turn into the Very Hungry Caterpillar mixed with clown motifs.

H.N Elly is a flying computer screen with wings that double as arms, and is capable of broadcasting others' memories.

Kriemhild Gretchen and Elsa Maria are silhouettes with their own repesctive themes that help differentiate them from one another.

Uhrmann is a poodle whose true form might be the toy attached to her tail.

And don't get me started on Matasaburo.

Worrying over excessive details will only lead to stagnation and burnout. A simple witch design that gets to the point is not a sign that the magi they once were is badly written at all; it just means that you've got the assignment immediately and have figured out what does and doesn't fit the visualizations of their despair.
