I have seen more disabled people in my favorite 80s shows then the modern ones i watch.
#personal#80s television#Micheal Knight had PTSD from being shot in the face#The A-team had PTSD from the war#there was episodes with people in wheelchairs and blind#and one with a little girl who needed a bone morrow doner#Ralph Hinkley broke down from the stress of the suit and trying to live his life#Macgyver had trauma had him avoiding guns like the plague#In more modern shows i've watched the characters barely even seem to grieve even if their spouses or parents#and murdered right in front of them and die in their arms#by the next scene they're right back to work pretty much#I'm sure there is some commentary or explanation or something#that could explain all this#but i don't know what it is#i just noticed this and went 'huh.'
