21. the next day is more meeting stuff. norway wakes up first, showers, and goes out to pick them up coffee and pastries or whateverrr.. iceland wakes up in sticky gross underwear in his brothers hotel room. alone. :| he shuffles the clothes on the floor around until he finds his phone and sees hes not running late to anything. thank god. he decides to shower (and steal some of nors clothes until he figures out where his keycard went. and where his brother went ...) and leaves the shower, is greeted by the smell of coffee exactly how he likes it. theres a balcony maybe and nor waves him over to join him at the little table and chairs. ice is wearing nors shirt and underwear but literally isnt thinking ab that Like That bcz hes a chronic olderbrother's clothes stealer already. i WISH i could say "they talk about it" but they would literally never. but sitting together having breakfast, its like nothing's wrong,, BECAUSE, nothing's wrong. theyre literally fine, iceland can hardly be anxious.......... they finish up and are like so ill see u at the meeting later. ill give you back your shirt soon. when are you going back home? and ice really wants to ask "when can we do this again?" but its not that easy, nor has plans tonight .... and hes not really sure where they stand yet. but the relationship definitely isnt all platonic/asexual. so thats neat. ice hopes theyll do this again soon. they kiss a few times before iceland leaves. (and nors plans that night might be sex with someone else, or multiple other people, but iceland doesnt need to know that)

22. people are noticing that nor and ice are closer lately. people at his office will ask what hes up to, and hes like im taking a weekend trip to visit my brother... and its like oh again? you two seem close lately! ^^ thats so sweet! but honestly its just ice who keeps messaging nor about once a month trying to seem super casual like 'heyy ... doing anything this weekend lol ..' and norway actually would drop any tentative plans he had and tell anyone else 'sorry something came up' so he can message ice back like 'nothing lol why' because this is part of the reconnecting process with his little bro and hes getting such a good grade in this, normal to want, possible to achieve, n all that. what im saying is everyone is noticing theyre closer lately. in the wake of the dna test. sure alright makes sense. i think denmark is getting lonely feeling left out tho. unrelated to anything, i just feel for him

23. time jump. theyre having sex fairly regularly. they get away to see each other every few months, all their vacation time is going towards this to the detriment of every other relationship in their lives. AND they're not telling anyone for several reasons. 1) they would need a label to describe their relationship for that 2) among humans this kind of relationship getting out is social suicide; not to other nations tho, god knows whats happening between all the other freaks 3) this isnt a "relationship" what are u talking about 🙄 hes literally my brother lol he drives me insane i couldnt live with him in my house <- both of them say this and mean it

19. nor will never let the brother thing go SPECIFICALLY because it makes iceland uncomfortable. hes amazed that ice didnt think they were related at all,, think is a strong word. it was denial, 0 logic. iceland doesnt really want to kiss him again now tbh ......... not that hes less into him. hes just confused. is this still a good idea? psych, it was always a bad idea, idiot. but he does have the okay to try again............. but he cant !! its too soon!!!!!! uwahh ..!!!

20. next time they see each other (world meeting?) nor has a lot of teasing material and it is unbearableeeeee. he doesnt even have to say anything he just has to look at ice. he is riding the dna test victory high for at least a year. even better though, he has a trump card to really freak him out. all he has to do is kiss him and it would be so so so so funny for real. he waits for a good private moment bc hes not crazy enough to do that with witnesses. people are still talking about their dna test being in the news they'll approach nor or ice with that as a small talk opener at the nation function so much. after the first few times nor is sick of it (but he hates social events anyway). iceland is somewhat better at surface level smalltalk schmoozing but he DOESN'T want to think about that test at all. its so unfortunate for him. they both leave early, theyre like wow everyone's after us ab the test, wanna get out of here? and end up walking back together. theyre in the conference hotel elevator together and its silent and nor leans over and gives him a big ol kiss on the lips. the first time since new years. catches ice way off guard, and they bicker about it, norway thinks it was comedy gold, and iceland is mad. he gets so mad that hes gonna kiss him again but harder. thatll show him. theyre already on the way to empty hotel rooms umm 😳 iceland isnt prepared to go all the way but they kiss and grind like idiots and dont talk a lot. iceland has more riding on this than nor and hes veryy nervous so nor goes at his pace. afterwards. umm. hmmmm. its late but not that late but neither wants to move. or talk about it. they curl up together and sleep
