I wish people would show the Slightest bit of compassion for people who are put in the extremely difficult position of evacuating natural disasters and having to leave pets behind. Yeah! It fucking sucks! That is literally nobody's first choice! But there's literally so many reasons somebody might have to leave behind an animal and if you thought about it for 2 seconds you could figure that out. Like I am fortunate enough that I have never had to make that choice, but living in a hurricane zone, I know how difficult that choice can be and how absolutely devasting it is for owners who have to make it.
