Familiar 141 - Young Witch!Reader
You never thought you would be in this situation, running for your life as you try to get to your grandfather's cabin near the entrance of the woods as fast as possible.
Well, that's kind of a lie. You did expect something like this to happen at some point, but why now...??
Your biggest problem has always been the fact that you were a witch, born from the humid earth near a river source and blessed by the nature spirits of the forest.
Which, okay, it wouldn't be a problem...
If you weren't a witch without a Coven.
And you were so young too. Fate really dealt you the worst cards, making you, a small witch, barely in your teen years, fend for yourself without a Coven to protect or guide you.
It was dangerous, madness even. Young witches were easy targets. They didn't really have strong magic yet, couldn't interact with nature spirits that well or defend themselves. That's why they needed the protection of the older witches, who would keep their little ones safely tucked in the heart of the coven, only letting them out when they come of age (for witches), and in small doses until they get used to the world.
You... didn't have that luxery tho.
You have no idea what really happened to you when you were born. Usually, witches from the coven would all be present to a newborn's birth, help them settle and taking them with them as one more little sprout for the Coven.
But, all you had was your grandfather's story, about how he found a baby covered in dirt by the river bank, not crying or making any kind of sound, just peacefully laying there as the forest kept it safe for who know how long.
He knew you were a witch, that much was obvious. He knew you were just born too, but he didn't manage to find any other witch living around that place, much less a whole Coven of them.
So, he took you in, which you were pretty grateful for. You though that it would be fine, i mean... sure, you didn't have a Coven, but who needed them anyway?? You were doing fine by yourself...! Especially after you managed to control a bit more of your magic! Your grandfather told you were very powerful for a baby witch, which is nice! See, you didn't need a Coven...!
Except, being "powerful" for a baby witch wasn't really... that powerful in the first place, and now, you were being freaking hunted down after a mistake you made.
Ah, being hunted down by who? That's simple.
A freaking pack of familiars, four of them to be exact.
There's one little detail about all of this... witches have familiars, powerful creatures that were the most loyal beasts you could ever have for yourself. Usually, a powerful and old witch would never link themselves to a weak familiar, even if they could grow strong with time and a good master guiding them.
And you could imagine the same would happen to the opposite situation... except, familiars were freaking bastards.
One of the reasons older Witches kept their young very well hidden and safe in their Covens is because rogue familiars hunt down little witches to force a bound with them.
While mature witches look for familiars around their same power level, powerful familiars like to take in small and young witches to mold the to their liking. Teach the little witch how to properly use their magic, be their primary guides and protectors.
And you? You were a very young witch, with no Coven on sight, and that showed a very big potential since your magic was stronger than other baby witches your age.
You were a prime target.
And you were being hunted down by four bastards that were toying with you the whole chase.
You could tell they were powerful, just not... how powerful. Since you were still too young, it was quite difficult to identify these things. It's like you could feel the heat of the flame but not see how big the flame was.
But you had a hunch they were... very powerful... at least, that's what you thought, since there were four of them, bounded together. It means their last witch was probably old and strong enough to have four of these big beasts.
Not that your theory matters now, not when you are trying to run in this stupid thick forest from four big familiars that you could hear laughing and taunting you.
Tauting you gently, at most. They already knew they had you.
You already knew they had you.
Still, you were running, even if just because you were high in adrenaline and refused to just stop.
That is, until you fell harshly on the ground after tripping over a rock or some shit hidden on this stupid dense forest.
Goddammit.
"Aww, lassie, c'mere, did it hurt?" You widden your eyes in surprise as you hear the heavy scottish accent right behind you, big hands carefully grabbing under your arms to lift you up on your feet like a kitten.
You squirm momentarily in discomfort, settling down a little as he puts you down and gently pats your clothes. You wish you had more fight in you, but you were still young and just took a nasty fall. It stunned you enough to barely react to the big familiar gently fixing your clothes.
"Oww, baby, it's okay." Another one of them, the dark skinned one with a heart shaped mouth, approached easily, both warm hands immediatly cupping your face to check on you. "We're sorry for making you play until you got hurt, we're not doing it again...." He coos gently, a warm smile on his face.
He looked... so happy......... freak, the scottish-mohawk guy by his side looked ecstatic, such a big smile on his face.
Well.... familiars always prefered to be linked to a witch.
You jumped a bit as you heard the rustling of leaves in the distance, eyes falling immediatly on the big black wolf behind some trees. That's certainly one big bastard of a familiar, even in his animal form...
Wait... where is the last one then...?
"Darlin', we need to talk, don't we?"
You freeze for complete as you feel a heavy, warm hand hold the back of your neck, not hurting, not ever, just... locking you in place. His voice is low and gruff, authoritarian, but it's... soft enough. Enough for you to know that he's forcing softness to speak to you.
His hand feels so damn big around your small neck...
It's okay, it's okay... familiars rarely ever hurt a witch for no reason.
Besides, they don't seen that inclined on hurting you anyway... no, you know they are ready to claim you for them.
The mess you found yourself in...
"T-Talk...?" You murmur quietly, unsure, still a bit stunned as you try to look over your shoulder.
"Wee lass just took a fall, Price, little witch like this might've gotten hurt." The scottish one says easily, smile still on his face as he approaches you a bit more to gently hold on your head, inspecting you himself now.
"She's just a tad stunned, no harm done." This voice was new, and very low. Gravelly. Patient.
The wolf familiar went back to his human form, leaned against a tree as he observed you with crossed arms and a relaxed posture. Indeed, a big bastard.
"That's why we shouldn't play with the young ones like this. I told you that they get hurt easily." The dark skinned one sighs slightly, like he was scolding the big brute by the trees.
"Boys, focus. We are not yet marked to her, and she's out here, exposed and defenseless. We're taking her home." The 'Price' guy says slowly, his authority over the others obvious by how they all straightened at his command.
"W-Wait-" You manage to find your voice once again, only to be interrupted by the scottish guy.
"The Coven?"
"If she had one, wouldn't be wandering around 'ere by 'erself." The wolf one rumbles, still relaxed against the trees.
"A baby witch without a Coven?" The dark skinned one considers, eyes narrowing.
"Sometimes it happens. Rare, but it can happen. All the more reason to get her to safety." Price rumbles back, voice getting... grow-ly, the hand on your neck heavier. "Soap."
"Aye, Cap." He smiles easily, bending down closer to your height, meeting your big, scared eyes. "Let's go, wee lassie, ye're safe." He coos, and before you can protest, one of his fingers are touching your forehead, a wave of pure magic going through you. "Nap nap time, huh?"
And just like that, you are loosing your consciousness, falling directly on his arms as you feel him picking you up easily before falling asleep.

Why Regular HVAC Maintenance is Key to Comfortable Living in Euless, TX
Living in Euless, TX, means experiencing a climate that can range from sweltering hot summers to cool, brisk winters. In such a dynamic environment, your HVAC system plays a critical role in ensuring your home remains comfortable year-round. However, to keep your HVAC system running smoothly and efficiently, regular maintenance is essential. If you're unsure where to start, consider consulting HVAC Repair in Euless TX to ensure your system is in top shape and ready to handle the local weather extremes.
Tumblr media
1. Enhanced Energy Efficiency
One of the primary benefits of regular HVAC maintenance is improved energy efficiency. Over time, dust, dirt, and debris can accumulate in your HVAC system, causing it to work harder to maintain the desired temperature in your home. This extra effort can lead to increased energy consumption and higher utility bills. By scheduling regular maintenance, you can ensure that your system is clean and operating at peak efficiency, saving you money in the long run.
During a maintenance check, an HVAC technician will clean and inspect critical components such as filters, coils, and ducts. These steps help prevent the buildup of contaminants that can restrict airflow and reduce efficiency. Additionally, well-maintained systems are less likely to experience breakdowns, which can be costly and inconvenient.
2. Prolonged System Lifespan
Investing in regular HVAC maintenance can significantly extend the lifespan of your system. Just like any other mechanical equipment, your HVAC system experiences wear and tear over time. Without proper maintenance, small issues can escalate into major problems that may require expensive repairs or even a complete system replacement.
Regular maintenance allows HVAC professionals to identify and address minor issues before they become severe. For example, they can detect and fix a small refrigerant leak or replace a worn-out fan belt before it leads to a system failure. By staying on top of these issues, you can maximize the lifespan of your HVAC system and avoid the expense of an early replacement.
3. Improved Indoor Air Quality
In Euless, TX, where outdoor air quality can sometimes be compromised by pollutants, allergens, and seasonal changes, maintaining good indoor air quality is essential for the health and comfort of your family. Your HVAC system plays a significant role in filtering and circulating air throughout your home, and if it’s not properly maintained, it can become a source of indoor air pollution.
During routine maintenance, HVAC technicians will inspect and replace air filters, clean ducts, and check for mold or other contaminants that can negatively impact indoor air quality. Clean filters and ducts ensure that the air circulating in your home is free from dust, pollen, and other allergens, creating a healthier living environment.
4. Consistent Comfort
An HVAC system that is not regularly maintained can struggle to keep your home at a consistent and comfortable temperature. You may notice uneven cooling or heating, with some rooms being too hot or too cold. This inconsistency can be frustrating and uncomfortable, especially during extreme weather conditions.
Regular maintenance helps ensure that your HVAC system is functioning optimally, providing even and consistent temperatures throughout your home. Technicians will calibrate your thermostat, check the refrigerant levels, and inspect the ductwork to ensure there are no leaks or blockages that could affect your system’s performance. By maintaining your system, you can enjoy a comfortable living space regardless of the weather outside.
5. Cost Savings on Repairs
While it may seem counterintuitive, spending money on regular HVAC maintenance can actually save you money in the long run. Neglecting maintenance often leads to unexpected breakdowns and costly repairs. A poorly maintained system is more likely to fail when you need it most, such as during a heatwave or a cold snap, leaving you in an uncomfortable situation and with an emergency repair bill.
By scheduling regular maintenance, you can catch and address potential problems early, avoiding the need for emergency repairs. Additionally, well-maintained systems operate more efficiently, which can lead to lower energy bills and reduced overall operating costs.
6. Peace of Mind
Knowing that your HVAC system is in good working order provides peace of mind. You can rest easy knowing that your system is less likely to break down unexpectedly and that it’s running efficiently, providing your family with a comfortable and healthy living environment.
If you’re a homeowner in Euless, TX, it’s essential to consider consulting HVAC repair in Euless TX for regular maintenance and any repair needs. Professional technicians have the expertise to keep your system running smoothly, ensuring your home remains a comfortable haven year-round.
In conclusion, regular HVAC maintenance is not just a good practice; it’s a key component of maintaining a comfortable and efficient home in Euless, TX. By investing in routine upkeep, you can enhance energy efficiency, prolong your system’s lifespan, improve indoor air quality, and ensure consistent comfort, all while saving money in the long run.

Why You Should Trust Water Damage Restoration Experts with Your Property
Water damage can strike unexpectedly, and it doesn’t take much to wreak havoc on a home or business. From heavy rainstorms and flash floods to burst pipes and appliance malfunctions, water damage can come from many sources. When it does, it leaves behind a mess that can be overwhelming, costly, and even dangerous if not handled properly. While many homeowners and business owners might consider tackling the damage themselves, the value of hiring a professional water damage restoration company cannot be overstated. Water damage restoration experts bring the experience, tools, and expertise needed to properly restore your property and safeguard it against future issues.
Here’s why trusting water damage restoration experts is one of the best decisions you can make in the aftermath of water damage.
Tumblr media
1. Fast and Efficient Service to Minimize Damage
When it comes to water damage, timing is crucial. The longer water sits, the more damage it causes. Within minutes, water can begin soaking into walls, floors, and furniture. After 24 to 48 hours, mold can start to develop, causing further damage and health risks. A professional water damage restoration team understands this urgency. They provide a quick response and work efficiently to start the restoration process right away.
Professional water damage experts use advanced equipment like powerful pumps, industrial-grade dehumidifiers, and high-speed air movers to remove water and dry affected areas quickly and thoroughly. They know exactly where to focus their efforts to prevent further damage, saving you time, money, and stress in the long run.
2. Expertise in Assessing and Repairing Damage
Water damage can be deceptive; what looks like minor surface damage can hide serious structural issues beneath. Water can penetrate walls, floors, and ceilings, leading to unseen mold growth, rotting wood, and weakening structural elements. An experienced restoration team knows how to assess damage comprehensively, identifying hidden issues that could cause bigger problems down the road.
Restoration experts have specialized training in water damage, mold remediation, and structural repairs. They can evaluate the extent of damage accurately and implement the right solutions to restore your property to its original condition—or even better. Their assessment skills help you avoid future problems and ensure that every inch of damage is addressed.
3. Prevention of Mold Growth and Health Risks
Mold growth is one of the most concerning side effects of water damage. Within just 24 to 48 hours of water exposure, mold spores can begin to grow and spread throughout your property. Mold not only damages surfaces but also poses health risks, especially to people with respiratory issues, allergies, or weakened immune systems. Some molds can produce mycotoxins, which are dangerous for people and pets.
Water damage restoration experts are trained in mold remediation techniques to prevent and eliminate mold growth. They use specialized chemicals and equipment to sanitize and remove mold while ensuring it doesn’t spread to unaffected areas. By hiring professionals, you protect your family, employees, or tenants from potential health hazards.
4. Advanced Equipment for Thorough Restoration
The equipment required for proper water damage restoration goes beyond what most people have on hand. Professional restoration teams have access to high-powered, industrial-grade tools designed for maximum efficiency and effectiveness. These include:
Powerful Pumps: High-capacity water extractors remove standing water quickly.
Air Movers and Dehumidifiers: These machines speed up drying, preventing further damage and the spread of mold.
Moisture Detectors and Hygrometers: To ensure complete drying, these tools measure moisture levels in hard-to-reach areas.
Infrared Cameras: Used to locate hidden moisture pockets behind walls and ceilings.
With this advanced equipment, water damage restoration experts can remove water, dry affected areas, and dehumidify the environment in a way that DIY efforts simply can’t match.
Tumblr media
5. Expertise with Insurance Claims
Navigating insurance claims for water damage can be complex and time-consuming. Restoration companies often have experience working with insurance providers and can help streamline the claims process. They document the extent of the damage, take photographs, and keep detailed records of restoration work, providing everything the insurance company might need to expedite the claim.
Some restoration companies even have dedicated teams who can assist you through the entire claims process. Having an expert on your side to handle insurance can be invaluable, ensuring that you receive fair compensation for repairs and restoration.
6. Minimizing Costs with Proper Restoration Techniques
DIY water damage cleanup can lead to costly mistakes. Without the right knowledge or equipment, you might miss hidden damage, use improper drying techniques, or even unintentionally spread mold spores. These missteps can increase long-term costs by creating more damage and health risks.
Water damage restoration professionals help you save money by getting it right the first time. Their methods are tried-and-true, designed to address every detail of the cleanup process. They ensure thorough drying and proper sanitation, preventing further issues and reducing the likelihood of costly future repairs.
7. Peace of Mind and Long-Term Protection
When you hire a water damage restoration expert, you’re not just restoring your property; you’re investing in peace of mind. You can rest assured knowing that the job is being handled by experienced professionals who are committed to delivering quality results. Many companies even offer warranties on their work, which means if any issues arise, they will come back and address them.
Beyond the immediate restoration, these experts can provide valuable advice on preventative measures, helping you avoid future water damage. They might recommend installing sump pumps, improving drainage around your property, or sealing areas that are vulnerable to leaks. This proactive approach can be a long-term safeguard for your home or business.
Tumblr media
Steps Involved in the Water Damage Restoration Process
Understanding the typical steps involved in water damage restoration can give you insight into why hiring professionals is beneficial. Here’s an overview of what you can expect:
Inspection and Assessment: The team evaluates the extent of the damage, classifies the water contamination level, and creates a restoration plan.
Water Removal: Using powerful pumps and vacuums, the team removes standing water to prevent further damage and expedite drying.
Drying and Dehumidification: Industrial fans and dehumidifiers dry out the property, preventing mold and rot.
Cleaning and Sanitizing: All affected areas and belongings are cleaned and sanitized. Items that can’t be restored are properly disposed of.
Restoration and Repair: Finally, any structural repairs, such as replacing drywall or fixing floors, are completed.
Trust the Experts for Quality Restoration
Water damage can be a stressful and overwhelming event, but hiring a water damage restoration expert helps bring order and reassurance to a chaotic situation. They not only remove the water and repair the damage but also ensure that your property is safe, secure, and ready for the future. With their prompt response, advanced equipment, expertise in mold prevention, and assistance with insurance claims, restoration experts provide invaluable support.
In the face of water damage, don’t take unnecessary risks or attempt to handle it alone. Trust the professionals to get the job done right, protect your investment, and restore your peace of mind.

Anakin's fall to the Dark Side
Anakin was born Sith. This is a term bestowed upon him by Qui-gon when he noted that he's "Probably the chosen one" and the reason why the Jedi Council wouldn't train him.
But still; that doesn't quite explain his fall to the "Dark Side" does it?
That statement holds a lot of different pieces of Star wars lore, about the "Sith'ari". A lot I don't want to extrapolate here because many content creators already have.
Because of this the term "Sith" doesn't have any dark side connotations. And the only one who identified himself as "Sith" was the Emperor Palpatine.
So there's a lot of unexplored territory as to what "Sith" actually means during this era of the Star Wars franchise. And while KotoR designated the name for a race of evil beings... I'm not quite certain that's the whole truth either.
What happened to Anakin; Force Balancer?
Seemingly trapped in a lifetime of slavery he momentarily gained his freedom to be trained as Jedi; only to lose it again when his mother died.
At this point in time; Anakin was a Jedi Warrior. Not a good person. The Jedi were not good. They fought and they killed people. By the time he took his wrath out on the people he thought murdered his mother; he had already [lifed] whole peoples under Jedi order.
Most of the media portrays this as just him fighting robots. But to him; C-3P0 was more than a robot..a person. And also; he was tasked as a General in war against *real people*. The things they don't tell you in Jedi history. To make them seem more benevolent.
This was already second nature to Anakin thanks to the Jedi teachings and the Orders given to him by "The Light Side of the Force".
There's no telling if the People of Tatooine actually tortured his mother, or if they were directed to by another source or if they actually tried to nurse his mother back to health *but* their medicine was poison to human.
I don't think Anakin even knows. The Force Guided his actions because he wasn't fully conscious of them. That's what Blind Rage can do, and why the Jedi teach you to be cognizant of them.
Even Obi-Wan was not immune to this, but the only two people alive that he might've cared about were Qui-gon and Anakin. He didn't have to face the same pain Anakin had.
This is the point Anakin was chained to the dark side. He was being controlled by Palpatine through the dark side of the force.
It's likely he either couldn't articulate the problem to the council; or that they wouldn't listen. The Sith don't exist anymore afterall, and *those* teachings were buried by Councils past.
We do know that the Jedi stood in the way of Profit margins, but we don't know what impact that had on the people they were blocking.
We may never know.
What we do know is that Anakin was molded by the people who sworn to serve the light and peace into a perfect weapon. And then disallowed to voice any dissent.
This opened him up to the dark side, to be wielded by somebody who would use him for evil.
Anakin isn't dumb, Obi-Wan had the high ground.
"You don't know what's going on with me" he pleaded and cried. And launched himself at Obi. Not in hopes of victory, or this hardheaded arrogance that he was painted as.
He was [ritual of lifing] he wished for obi to save him by releasing him from his bondage. The only way he could think to do it.
It wasn't Anakin that defeated Dooku, he did not want to pull the trigger at the end. He hesitated. But in the back of his mind Sidious words echoed "Do it."
Unfortunately, it was Obi's own reluctance that sealed Darth Vaders fate. Anakin was sealed off from the force, and thus the only connection he had to life; Padmè Amadala.
And the Emperor's victory was complete. The pawn became his Queen.

hey don't feel pressured to give any advice to this if it makes yall uncomfortable but I need a place to put this and I don't want to put it on our main blog because we're out as a system there.
I'm beginning to think my headmates might just be a delusion. I fully believe I'm a system and can't shake the belief that I am even though more and more evidence is coming up that I might not be. I've realised that any time I "switch" I consciously choose to act like a headmate, instead of it being an uncontrollable thing. I have no 'core' sense of self due to NPD which makes it really easy to pick up and drop different traits, but I'm never not *me*.
I do dissociate quite badly and have memory issues. and I might have mistaken my ability to act like different people for headmates. which might be why I think I have DID
I don't know. I'm scared of backlash if it turns out what I thought was a system was in fact a delusion. I've made several plural friends through here and I've contributed to the plural community and people have even come to me for plural related advice. will it all have been a lie?
also do yall know any psychotic systems that I might be able to talk to about this?
I don't know of any others, but we're a psychotic system and willing to listen!
This sounds like a delicate situation. I'm going to treat it as if you're questioning being a system, and aren't sure either way, and will provide suggestions to support either direction. I'll do my best to stay objective but gentle, but this response will discuss delusions, dissociation, the boundaries between them, and how those boundaries can blur, so be mindful of how you're feeling when reading. Got that?
(also, this response got, uh, long. More under the cut.)
You do bring up good points about how you may not be a system. The switching one in particular is unlike how most switches work, as most switches are uncontrolled to a degree, and don't involve a choice to start acting a certain way. And you wouldn't be the first to have some overlap with the plural community due to a personality disorder – just look at how BPD and DID often have parallels drawn in papers on diagnosing one or the other, or even just parallels noted within the communities!
However, what you're describing also sounds similar to median, OSDD-1a, and monoconscious systems, who also often feel like themselves no matter who they switch to. This can also affect how switching feels, which for these systems, can be more like putting on a hat than losing control of themselves and becoming someone different. Do median + OSDD-1A + monoconscious experiences perfectly explain this feeling of "I'm just acting like another headmate and not actually switching"? No, but I recommend you look into them to see if you do or don't feel like they explain why you don't feel like you fit the conventional mold of systems, which is often centered around multiple DID systems. This should give you better insight into whether it's a delusion or not.
You know, I often hear the opposite of what you've next described – people often say they mistook their DID for simply being able to act differently when they need/want to! But in all seriousness, I understand the concern. If it's the plurality part that's bothering you, why not take a closer look at your memory problems and dissociation? You may want to identify possible other sources for these things, and look into how others describe their own experiences with them. Don't take others' experiences as gospel you have to match – just use it as a reference for comparing and contrasting your own memory issues and dissociation. I mentioned OSDD-1A before, so I mainly recommend looking into those experiences, but be sure to branch out to outside CDDs and look into other disorders. Perhaps other personality and dissociative disorders would be a good place to start?
Moving on, I don't think everything you've done as part of the plural community would be a lie, even if it turns out to be a delusion. It sounds like you've helped out people with your advice, and enjoyed the friendships you've made, which sound like positive things overall. Even if you're wrong about being a system, you're not wrong about having added some good into the world through your kindness and helpfulness, and it's not like you were intentionally misleading and tricking people – your concern now shows that you don't want that! While there may be backlash, that kind of backlash tends to come from people who aren't so nice in general anyway, so I don't think you should give their words much weight. A conditional sort of acceptance based on never being wrong about a personal part of one's identity that's really tricky to identify? Who wants that? It's a ridiculous standard to hold anyone to.
At the end of the day, I think what matters most is if considering yourself plural helps you. Taking the idea that it's a delusion – is it harming you? Is it causing you to act in ways that are negatively affecting you? If so, it may be time to consider how to bring yourself out of it, or how to better manage it as a delusion. However, if it's a delusion that doesn't negatively affect you, or at least doesn't negatively affect you that much... is continuing to identify as plural truly such a bad thing?
I'm not suggesting you encourage a delusion, of course (especially in this context, where you're distressed over the possibility of it), but if the plural framework helps you, then using it as a way to manage this possible delusion doesn't seem like too bad of an idea, as long as you adapt the parts that aren't accurate, and are careful with how you use it. I've known people whose best way of managing delusions was going along with them, only combating them if they started hurting or negatively affecting them – just kinda keeping an eye on them like a new owner would a puppy, you know? People tend to think of any presence of delusion as a bad thing, but sometimes they're just a part of someone's life. Of course, if this doesn't fit your experience, you do not at all need to continue considering yourself plural after coming to the (hypothetical, possible) conclusion that you're experiencing a delusion. It's just worth considering, but if you do consider it, please go to others who discuss their delusions like this or in similar ways to this, as our delusions are only ever negative and we do not and can not speak on how this works, only that we know of others who have made it work. Also, this post may help give more context on why I suggest this approach.
On another topic, the thing with dissociation is that it's very related to things like delusions and hallucinations. Internal communication is called auditory hallucinations. The way people describe derealization can match up nearly identically to people with delusions of the world not being real. So finding out whether someone is a system or experiencing a delusion of being a system... is not something that can be done easily (and certainly not over an ask on Tumblr. As much as I'd like to give you an answer either way, the best I can do is offer what I know about related experiences I've seen and had, which I hope I've done to the best of my ability). But my point is that a third option to consider is that you may be standing at the intersection of plurality and psychosis. It's happened before – hell, one of our own delusions functions similarly enough to the rest of our plurality that we've had difficulty establishing whether it was a delusion of identity or just another headmate (which is another reason why we suggest using a plural framework to manage this possible delusion – it may help you make sense of whatever's going on in your head via comparison, even if it's not a perfect descriptor, the way that comparing our delusion to a headmate helped us understand it better). So maybe the answer is "both" or "more so this thing but also partly that" or "it's this but really similar to that" for you, too.
Whatever the answer is, I hope you're able to find it. Good luck, anon!!

Why You Should Call a Plumber to Diagnose Leaks
Tumblr media
Routine Inspection Can Detect Hidden Leaks
Water leaks can cause a lot of damage if left undetected and unrepaired. They can lead to mold growth, structural damage, and high water bills. While some leaks are easily detectable, others can go unnoticed for a long time, causing significant problems. This is why it is essential to call a plumber to diagnose leaks even if they are not immediately apparent. By conducting routine inspections, plumbers can identify potential leaks and fix them before they cause severe damage.
Professional Expertise Ensures Accurate Diagnosis
When it comes to leak detection, it's crucial to rely on the expertise of a professional plumber. While you may be tempted to try DIY methods, such as using leak detection kits or watching YouTube tutorials, these approaches are often ineffective. Plumbers have the knowledge and experience to accurately diagnose leaks and determine their source. They use specialized equipment and techniques, such as video camera inspections and pressure testing, to locate leaks hidden behind walls, under flooring, or in plumbing systems.
Prevents Further Damage and Costly Repairs
Calling a plumber to diagnose leaks at the earliest signs can prevent further damage to your property and save you from expensive repairs in the future. If left untreated, even a small leak can lead to significant structural damage. Water can seep into walls, weaken the foundation, or cause mold growth, resulting in expensive repairs. By addressing leaks promptly, plumbers can fix the underlying issues and prevent additional damage, saving you both time and money in the long run.
Preserves Water Resources and Reduces Costs
Water is a precious resource, and wasting it through leaks is both environmentally irresponsible and costly. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), household leaks can waste over 1 trillion gallons of water annually in the United States alone. By promptly calling a plumber to diagnose and repair leaks, you contribute to water conservation efforts and reduce your water bills. Fixing leaks can significantly decrease your monthly water usage, leading to substantial savings over time.
Identifies Hidden Plumbing Issues
Leak detection is not only about finding visible leaks; it also helps identify potential hidden plumbing issues. (—) ★ spotted!! MICAH KENNEDY on the cover of this week’s most recent tabloid! many say that the 22 year old looks like HERO FIENNES TIFFIN, but i don’t really see it. while  the RETIRED ATHLETE/REALITY TV STAR is known for being AMBITIOUS my inside sources say that they have a tendency to be ALOOF i swear, every time i think of them, i hear the song LOSING MY RELIGION by R.E.M  { he/him, cismale}
the statistics
name: Micah Kennedy age: Twenty-One dob: April 1, 2002 gender: Cismale sexuality: Pansexual occupation: Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist for 50m Freestyle - 2020 Olympic Games, Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist for 100m Freestyle - 2020 Olympic Games, Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist for 100m Butterfly - 2020 Olympic Games, Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist for 4x100m Medley - 2020 Olympic Games,  Olympic Swimming Gold Medalist for 4x100m Freestyle - 2020 Olympic Games Reality TV Star - Current, Pianist - Current parents: Jordana Kennedy, unknown father siblings: Madeline Kennedy (twin, 21), Wednesday Kennedy (5) swimming career claim: Caeleb Dressel (minus the Rio de Janeiro Games)
the history
Growing up on camera would have thought to have made a bigger impact on Micah’s life than he let it. From a young age he was trained to have no qualms of the spotlight and made zero fuss when it came to his family’s hit reality tv show. To him, it was just another day at home.
At three years old, no one could keep him out of the ocean. His fascination with swimming and the water was unexplainable but it wasn’t long before he was enrolled in private swimming lessons.
At five years old he made the resolution to go to the Olympics and spent his entire life training to do so. It was amazing when he qualified for the 2020 Olympics at only 17 years old and even more of an accomplishment when he went on to win 5 gold medals, adding him to the list of only four other Americans to win that many in one Olympic Games. Also became the first male swimmer to win gold medals in the 50m freestyle, 100m freestyle and the 100m butterfly in the same games.
tw: car accident In July of this last year, Micah was out with his sister at a party. She had gotten a bit out of control and Micah jumped into the car with her to stop her from driving away. She did so anyways and ended up crashing it. Micah ended up having to have surgery on his knee, which got completely twisted around during the accident, and his shoulder suffered a tear in his rotator cuff. The doctors had identified that the shoulder problem had been ongoing for a while, just escalated from the accident, but thus confirmed that he would need years of physical therapy to be able to walk normally again and couldn’t clear him to compete in swimming any longer – ending the career he spent his entire life working towards.
This pushed the already recluse of the Kennedy family further into a hole, finding it hard to get out of bed. The best therapy – both physically and mentally – was started and Micah tried to get back to his life as little as he could.
His therapist suggested picking up a hobby and piano seemed to be the only thing that stuck. Now all of his time is dedicated to mastering the skill and trying to grow from there.
Though he doesn’t state it, Micah is resentful of both his sister and being a Kennedy. He loves his family, truly and dearly, he doesn’t understand how she could put either of them into the situation and why this was the one thing that his family name couldn’t solve. He had tried to make a name on his own and it was thrown back into his face.
updated information ( TW pregnancy, TW NICU , TW depression , TW suicidal thoughts ): after his accident, Micah spent weeks trying to get around feeling like he didn't belong. imposter syndrome overtook him as he felt as though he didn't fit into the Kennedy mold, was selfish for how he had originally broken up with Melrose Levington, selfish for hurting Archie Sinclair, the whole nine yards. It wasn't until he had a breakdown to his mother, Jordana Kennedy, who helped him get into a therapist and into programs -- which worked for a little while. That was until he found out that Melrose was pregnant and after a paternity test it was found that he was the father of her unborn child. After a rather easy pregnancy, their daughter was born suddenly months early and little miss Juniper Levington-Kennedy has been in the NICU fighting for her life.

Attic Insulation Rot Repair Ventilation
Are you tired of feeling like your home's temperature fluctuates with every season? Are you constantly dealing with rot or mold issues in your attic? Look no further! In today's post, we will be discussing everything you need to know about attic insulation, rot repair, and ventilation. These three components are critical for maintaining a comfortable and healthy living space. Don't let poor insulation or ventilation cause unnecessary headaches – keep reading to learn how to improve the overall quality of your home!
What is attic insulation?
There are many different types of attic insulation, but the most common is fiberglass insulation. This type of insulation is made from recycled glass and sand, and it is effective at trapping heat in your attic. Other types of attic insulation include cellulose insulation, which is made from recycled paper, and blown-in insulation, which is made from small pieces of wood or other materials. If you have an older home, chances are that your attic insulation is not adequate. This can lead to a number of problems, including excessive heat loss in the winter and unwanted temperature fluctuations in the summer. Additionally, poor attic ventilation can cause moisture buildup, which can lead to mold growth. If you think that your attic could benefit from additional insulation or improved ventilation, contact a professional contractor who specializes in attic projects. They will be able to assess your needs and recommend the best course of action for your home.
What is rot repair?
The first step in rot repair is to identify the source of the moisture. If the source of the moisture is not discovered and fixed, the rot will continue to spread and cause further damage. Once the source of moisture is found and fixed, the next step is to remove all of the rotted material. This may require chiseling out rotted wood or cutting away drywall that has been damaged by mold or mildew. The area should then be cleaned with a disinfectant solution to kill any remaining mold or mildew spores. Once the area is clean and dry, it can be repaired with new materials.
What is ventilation?
There are two types of ventilation: natural and mechanical. Natural ventilation occurs when warm air rises and cooler air moves in to replace it. This happens because warm air is less dense than cool air, so it rises. The wind also helps to move the air around. Mechanical ventilation uses fans to force air movement. In order for your attic to be properly ventilated, there must be a continuous flow of air. That’s why having both types of ventilation is important. Natural ventilation will help to create the airflow that you need, while mechanical ventilation will ensure that the airflow is constant.
How do I know if my attic needs insulation?
There are a few key things to look for when you're trying to determine whether or not your attic needs insulation. First, take a look at your energy bills. If you've noticed a sharp increase in your heating and cooling costs, it's possible that your attic is the culprit. Another tell-tale sign is if you can see sunlight streaming through the ceiling in your attic. This means that there are gaps in your insulation, and heat is escaping. Finally, if you have any concerns about moisture or mold in your attic, this is another indication that insulation may be necessary.
How do I know if my attic needs rot repair?
If your attic has any of the following signs, then it may need rot repair: -Water stains on the ceiling or walls -Peeling paint or wallpaper -Mold or mildew growth -A musty smell -Visible wood decay If you're not sure whether your attic needs rot repair, it's always best to consult with a professional. They will be able to assess the damage and recommend the best course of action.
How do I know if my attic needs ventilation?
If your attic is inaccessible, or if you can't see any visible vents, there are a few telltale signs that indicate poor ventilation. Look for: 1. Excessive heat in the attic during the summer months 2. Ice dams or icicles on the roof in winter 3. Condensation on the underside of the roof decking 4. Musty odors in the attic 5. Signs of mold or mildew growth in the attic
How can I improve the insulation in my attic?
One of the best ways to improve the insulation in your attic is to add more insulation. This can be done by either adding batting or blown-in insulation. You will want to make sure that the insulation is properly installed so that it does not settle and create gaps. Another way to improve the insulation in your attic is to make sure that it is properly ventilated. This can be done by installing vents or opening up existing ones.
How can I improve the ventilation in my attic?
It is important to ensure that your attic is properly ventilated in order to protect your home from damage caused by heat and moisture. There are a few ways that you can improve the ventilation in your attic: -Install soffit vents: Soffit vents are installed at the eaves of your roof and allow fresh air to enter into your attic space. -Install gable vents: Gable vents are installed at the gables of your roof (the triangular spaces at the ends of the roof) and help to exhaust hot air from your attic. -Install ridge vents: Ridge vents are installed along the ridge line of your roof and allow hot air to escape out of your attic.
Conclusion
Attic insulation, rot repair, and ventilation are all important home maintenance needs. Ensuring that your attic is properly protected from the elements can help extend the life of your roof and roofing materials as well as improve air quality in your home. Taking care of any damage or rot before it becomes a major problem will save you money in repairs down the road. Installing proper ventilation to ensure that moisture doesn’t accumulate in your attic can help reduce costly repairs due to mold growth or water damage. Following these simple steps will go a long way towards protecting one of the most vital parts of your house from future issues.

Difference Between DIY and Professional Mold Inspection & Testing
Mold inspection and testing are essential for maintaining a safe, healthy home environment. Mold can cause structural damage and pose health risks to those with allergies or respiratory issues. Many homeowners consider handling mold inspections themselves. But, the choice between DIY and professional mold testing New Jersey can make a big difference. Here’s a look at the pros and cons of each approach. DIY Mold Inspection: Quick But Limited DIY mold inspection kits are available at affordable prices. These kits allow you to test for a mold without a professional. They include simple testing materials like Petri dishes or swabs, which can capture mold spores from air samples or surfaces. However, DIY kits have limitations. For one, they often need more precision and accuracy of professional equipment. Mold spores are almost everywhere, and DIY kits may detect even harmless spores, leading to unnecessary worry. Most kits don’t analyze or specify mold types, which can be crucial in determining potential health risks. Professional Mold Inspection: Comprehensive and Precise Professional mold inspectors bring expertise and advanced tools. They are trained to identify various types of mold, locate hidden mold, and assess conditions that promote mold growth. Their mold testing service offerings involve examination of the property, checking moisture levels, and using specialized equipment. All the services help them detect mold in the home’s hidden areas. Professionals provide an in-depth report detailing the extent and type of mold found and suggesting appropriate remediation steps. They can interpret test results, giving you a clearer picture of whether the mold poses a health risk. While professional mold inspection is more expensive than DIY kits, the investment often pays off. Inspectors’ insight can prevent minor mold issues from becoming major problems. Making the Right Choice If you suspect minor mold issues, a DIY test might suffice. But for anyone with ongoing mod concerns, a professional inspection is the safer, more reliable choice. A mold testing inspector brings knowledge, precision, and tools that DIY kits can’t match. So, choosing between DIY and mold inspection depends on your goals, budget, and the problem. DIY tests might be cheaper and quicker, but you need professional support for accurate results. About Dynamic Inspections: Dynamic Inspections is a complete solution for home inspection New Jersey. Top Signs Your Roof Needs Immediate Repair
Tumblr media
Your roof is your home’s first line of defense against the elements, and keeping it in good shape is essential to protecting your property and family. Unfortunately, roof problems often go unnoticed until they become severe, leading to costly repairs or replacements. If you’re a homeowner, especially in Houston, you need to stay vigilant for warning signs that your roof might need immediate attention. By relying on the expertise of local Houston area roofers, you can address these issues before they escalate into major problems.
One of the most obvious signs that your roof needs repair is visible damage. Missing, cracked, or curling shingles are clear indicators that your roof is not providing the protection it should. These problems often develop after severe weather, which is not uncommon in Houston. When shingles are compromised, they expose the underlying structure to moisture and UV rays, potentially leading to water damage and weakening the roof’s integrity. If you notice shingle damage, contacting local Houston area roofers quickly is the best course of action.
Leaks are another critical sign that your roof needs immediate repair. Water stains on your ceilings or walls often indicate that moisture has found its way through your roof. These stains might start small, but ignoring them can lead to extensive water damage, mold growth, and structural issues. The humid climate in Houston can exacerbate the effects of leaks, making timely intervention essential. Local Houston area roofers are skilled at identifying the source of leaks and providing efficient solutions to prevent further damage.
Sagging areas on your roof are a serious red flag that something is amiss. A sagging roof often means that there is a structural issue, which could be due to water pooling, weakened support beams, or excessive weight from debris. If you notice any part of your roof dipping or sagging, it’s crucial to act immediately. Professional local Houston area roofers can assess the situation, identify the underlying cause, and implement the necessary repairs to restore your roof's strength and stability.
The accumulation of granules in your gutters is another sign that your roof may need attention. Asphalt shingles are coated with granules that protect them from the sun's harmful rays. Over time, these granules can wear off, particularly if your roof is aging or has been subjected to severe weather. If you find an excessive amount of granules in your gutters, it’s a good idea to consult local Houston area roofers to evaluate the condition of your roof and determine whether repairs or replacement are needed.
Flashing issues are another common problem that require immediate repair. Flashing is used to seal areas where the roof meets vertical structures, such as chimneys or vents. If the flashing is cracked, loose, or missing, water can seep into these vulnerable areas and cause damage. The unpredictable weather in Houston makes properly installed and maintained flashing a necessity. Local Houston area roofers have the expertise to repair or replace flashing, ensuring your roof remains watertight.
Even minor issues like moss, mold, or algae growth can signal a problem with your roof. These organisms thrive in moist environments, and their presence might indicate trapped moisture or poor drainage. Over time, they can cause shingles to deteriorate and create openings for water infiltration. The experienced local Houston area roofers know how to address these problems effectively, preventing further damage and extending the life of your roof.
A roof’s age is another factor that homeowners should consider. Most roofs have a lifespan of 20 to 30 years, depending on the materials used. If your roof is approaching or has exceeded its expected lifespan, it’s time to have it inspected by local Houston area roofers. They can identify potential weaknesses and recommend repairs or a replacement if necessary.
Maintaining the health of your roof is a critical aspect of homeownership. By paying attention to these warning signs and relying on trusted local Houston area roofers, you can protect your home from costly damages and ensure that your roof remains a reliable shield against the elements. Don’t wait for minor issues to turn into major problems—act quickly and partner with professionals who understand the unique challenges of Houston’s climate and can provide top-notch service.
