Rukia is a fallen mob leader who takes too much risk during her recent thefts as if she wants to get caught by the goverment

All the rival mob gangs think she's just lost her ground and they are using this as an opportunity to take over her business

Ichigo, an apprentice mobster, is the only who understands her. He figured out quickly she's doing it on purpose

In fact, he also entered this dirty business out of self loathing. but being deprived of any moral was not his idea of self sabotaging

Thus he wants to help her and save himself in the process.

However, entering the mafia lobby is a lot easier than getting out of it.
