"I've been living here since I was a child, and I still live here...

"So maybe saying I'm back home is a strange way to put it.

"But it's like each time I walk down the same street or intersection I feel something different.

"... It's not always good memories, I suppose, with vending machines flying...

"... but there's something kind of nostalgic about all of it.

"When you live in the same city for a while, you make memories there...

"so maybe when I say "I'm back home" I'm referring to the memories themselves.

"Just us walking and talking here is a new memory, for example...

"one that will get added to the top of the pile that is this street.

"No matter how much the town or the people change, the memories will still be there, just as they were.

"All these people walking around –the salarymen and the students.

"the housewives and the children, the street gangs.

"even the Headless Rider–

"They all have memories of this town that they can return to, that they call "home".
