In all honesty, I've had the greatest urge to leave this fandom a lot of the times, I do love writing here.. I just miss a lot of the older creators I'd love to read from, the one's I idolized before joining... And it makes me feel odd?

Breaking MY silence, my final thoughts
After this post, I'm moving on to my regular operations, that is writing and memeing.
Alright, first of all, I thank everyone who came to my support. Thank you, it means a lot to me. I feel a lot better now and feel ready to write my fic ideas. Thank you for giving me a safe space.
I also appreciate @isas-bathbombs for her sporting act. We both are now cool 🤝. You should honestly be asking for more pay as PR manager.
I also thank the devs for their personal support and intervention. Your great care and enthusiasm for this fandom is what makes it thrive. Thank you so much for making Resident Lover and giving all of us this space to be free crackheads.
Next, I want to give a timeline from my perspective and clear things up. Don't worry, this isn't a accusatory or blaming post by any means. I have not unfollowed or blocked anyone, even those who don't agree with me.
A lot of people have offered their own take on what happened which were pretty accurate. However, since I was admittedly directly involved in it, I feel I should and deserve to offer things from my perspective as well.
Let's start the bullet points
I did NOT write anything that had questionable consent. Yes, I can write things that lean on darker side, but never did I write CNC or any serious kinky stuff. Like bruh, I'm very new to this fandom. Let me get to the kinky part at least! Also, if I do write any (like I recently did for one of my asks) I will make sure to put trigger warnings (which is what I exactly did).
Here's what I ACTUALLY did: write a post asking why Miranda was so scared of Donna. The discussion it started was frankly quite amazing. The characterisations and character renaissance it created was amazing. However, some people didn't like the darker characterisation that happened in it. Or the "excessive" simping that followed by Donna stans. I've put excessive part in quotes for obvious reasons. Excessive is subjective and depends from individual to individual.
I went to sleep feeling satisfied and happy to see all the Donna love. Come morning, I see posts that were quite passive aggressively attempting to be call outs and police people.
I have never stood up for policing creative content. I've been part of several fandoms. I'm a part of Resident evil Village fandom. It's about evil woman doing evil things. So to see people cribbing about THESE characters being dark who have obvious darker undertones was flabbergasting to watch.
So while I didn't have a major part in creating majority of the darker stuff that happened, I did do one thing. I stood up and told people to take a chill pill. Like daddy chill, we are part of fandom that has cult stuff. And so the drama happened.
I don't regret what I did. I've always stood for freedom in creativity, and I will continue to do so. I saw my fellow Donna and Miranda stans getting indirectly attacked, and I had to speak out. I'm glad I did. Policing is the death of any fandom, and I hope this drama teaches us to let people be and not police people. Have a healthy discussion and tease people? Absolutely! But make personal attacks? Hell no.
I hope this clears up any miscommunication or misconceptions about me. I do not hate anyone, or any characters for that matter. Yes, Donna is my favourite, but I'll happily write for any Resident Lover character. I love the game, never doubt that.
Thank you for reading to the end. Feel free to follow me to be updated with whatever stuff I come up with. I never want anyone to think my blog is a unsafe space. I understand how important mental health is. I have a degree in it. Whatever you say, would be heard with patience. Unconditional positive regard bestie.
Signing off

I follow 750 people, and about 20 of those are mutuals. I joined almost ten years ago at this point, way before there was an algorithm like the for you page (which is like two years old, max). Back before they started generating a feed for you the only ways to see posts at all would be following users to get posts on your dash or by exploring tags. Exploring tags constantly can get annoying so I followed people.
I only have about 200 followers total but I've had multiple posts breach containment - to keep my sanity I just turned off push notifications entirely except for when I get a dm. If you really want to stop a post from clogging up your activity feed while it's blowing up, the mute button has never really worked well according to reports - but you can delete the original post if you want. You'll never get a reblog in your feed again.
The reason I follow so many people is because I do like being able to see as many posts as I have time for - I follow a large amount of artists, some who only post once or twice a month, so that alone would truly be an empty feed. And on top of that I'd estimate at least 150 of them are dead blogs that haven't updated in five years because I don't have the heart to unfollow people who've moved on. I like to reblog a lot - before a lot of people flooded in from other social medias, reblogging was "the thing" you did on tumblr to a post you liked. It was really common for a post to have more reblogs than likes, with likes functioning more like bookmarks than anything. I haven't really changed how I view interacting on tumblr in a long time, but the culture here sure has changed around me. When I'm in the swing of things, I run a queue of 45 reblogged posts a day. I prefer to see posts to reblog as they get posted and reblogged by people and blogs I know, instead of always seeing posts from strangers. In my head the same post can have a different flavor coming from different users reblogging it. I enjoy having a lot of posts on my dash but I don't want the tumblr algorithm (which has a history of being flaky, making nonsensical decisions, and not giving you enough control over what you see) to be in charge of the content, I much prefer to see stuff curated by people I trust and share interests with. I hope this makes sense. Good luck with the too many notes! Tens of thousands really gets overwhelming at times.

Finally, someone who actually addressed the issue! Thanks!! Though I kinda wanna keep the post on my profile as functionally a souvenir, lol. Maybe I'll take it down if it bursts again.

When was this btw? What was the tipping point? When did likes become more common than reblogs? I always make sure to reblog/queue a bunch because I was told about that immediately. There have been a few movements to and from Twitter, TikTok, and Reddit.

Ack, why 45? That's so close to 50, the limit!

Yeah, thanks. Have fun in the processing vortex.

a quick update on the state of my blog under the cut.
hey guys, i hope everyone is doing great!
before i get into it, let me just express my appreciation for your love and support for this blog throughout the years and even through this hiatus, you never forgot about me or the blog and for that, i wanna say thank you all so much.
this is no longer an f1 blog. idk what exactly it's going to become, but i know that f1 will (mostly) have nothing to do with it.
i'm truly sad to say that f1blr, to me, is no longer a healthy fandom to be part of. after stepping back the past few months, i started noticing just how much my mental health has improved since i left all of this behind and i knew a decision had to be made. it's funny because i've always wanted this. join a new fandom, try and be creative and see where that takes you. little did i know, this journey would lead me to garner more than 3k followers, fucking insane, isn't it?
f1blr is such a fast-paced fandom and it can be so stressful sometimes trying to keep up with everything. it requires a lot of time (which i don't really have anymore because... adulthood) and effort and by early 2020, it started to become too much. also, at a certain point, people began to expect certain things from me and once i didn't meet those expectations, those people were upset. eventually, i stopped enjoying being part of the fandom and it was a culmination of many factors. the gist is, idk if i'm ever gonna go back to posting anything f1 related in the future. i'd like to hope that at some point, i will.
regarding the future of my blog, i want to try and figure it out along the way. what's obvious to me is that i don't want to put myself within the boundaries of any specific fandom and i don't have nearly as much free time as i used to, so i'm going to be posting about whatever i feel like posting about whenever i can. i'm talking movies, tv shows, bayern, maybe even music, and all of my NON-F1 SHIPS?!?!!? I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT. ehm, anyway, just anything and everything i genuinely am passionate about. not that i wasn't ever passionate about f1 i mean i've been watching the sport for nearly 10 years fgs.
if you wanna stick around and support me through this new adventure, you know i'd really love and appreciate that. if not, you’re very much welcome to hit the unfollow button, absolutely no hard feelings whatsoever and it's been really nice having you around.
wishing you guys all the best and see you soon <3
