#all those years ago#I think that Ringo refused the song because he didn't want to be middle man between John and George#the first version of the song seems to be about John too#I've seen theories that the original lyrics were dissing John in response to John's comments in an interview#except that interview was published until after John died so at the time George created the sing he still didn't know about it#according to Ray Cooper. It was a song to celebrate John. even before his death#I'm not deleting this one but it's incomplete
