All of my vintage clothing from 20-40 years ago still holds up better than most of the shit I bought 5-10 years ago and that is genuinely crazy concerning
#it's not like i shop fast fashion either#it just genuinely is that bad#but everything i get at the thrift and at vintage markets has genuinely held up better#and has less wear and tear than items i bought in like 2019#i have this vintage tshirt that's held up crazy well#but lately 2 of my tshirts i bought in like 2021 simply disintegrated#the material wasnt bad either?! i dont understand this#I've got this winter jacket form 1992#and its in prestine condition other than a pocket ripping at the edge of it#but that was easily stitched up#i have another winter jacket i bought in 2022 and both pockets blew out already and the seams are ripping?? its been TWO WINTERS#whatever#i'm gonna just shop at thrifts a lot more#but watch out for dry rot or cringe micro trend fast fashion hauls that were thrown to the dust#I'm RANTING SORRY#i mean i do understand why this is happening#corporate greed yadda yadda#but i hate this a lot#i just want good affordable clothing
