3. Do you share your fic ideas, or do you keep them to yourself?
The sheer amount of fic ideas that never actually make it onto paper (or even just mentioned here) is staggering...and a little embarrassing, frankly. I think in the beginning I shared every idea that came to mind, but now I only share the concepts that I become obsessed with, because I already have enough fics to write and I hate the idea of disappointing anyone by jumping to a newer, fresher idea instead of updating my old ones, because I'm already a very slow writer as-is lmao
#I have soooooo many ideas and thoughts and concepts and plotlines and settings and aus and#this happens with my original works too though#I used to have more ideas than I knew what to do with and it's how I burnt myself out and stopped writing all together#now I try my best to focus on just one or two so it doesn't happen again#but of course that (obviously) doesn't always happen#I've considered making a blog that was like. DCA AU Prompts#where people who had an idea for an au (but no time or motivation to do anything with it) could cast the idea out for free grabs#but ironically I haven't done anything with that idea yet
