The moment Espio truly falls for Silver is when he and Silv come across a Chao garden and Silver plays with them just as adorably as in Rivals 2, except this time Espio is standing right beside him and gets a front row seat to the utter cuteness that takes place <3

I like Espilver so much that the urge to write another fic taking place after Rivals 2 where Silver stays in the past is honestly becoming stronger by the day.

#I'm thinking... everything seems to point towards Silver being the *one* person actively tailing Eggman Nega right?#he never even remotely infers to someone having given him the instructions to chase after Nega to the past and get him back #nor do we know how long Silver has known Eggman Nega and has been chasing him down #and Eggman Nega *does* seem like the kind of person who doesn't rest on his laurels when it comes to world destruction...#so what I am getting at is that it is not impossible that Silver has been spending YEARS of his life on foiling Nega's endless plans #in other words this boi is a massive workaholic... but Nega is gone and trapped in the Ifrit's dimension!#so what can he do now? he needs a purpose!! he can't just do nothing if there is a whole world to protect!#I can see Silver get in quite the tailspin with such thoughts plus the fact Eggman is terrorising this world and Sonic always has that-#-covered *despite* never actively chasing Eggman down like Silver does with Nega (which Silver h a t e s at first btw)#anyway what I am trying to get to is that Silver With The Chao might honestly be the first time Espio sees him genuinely calm and-#-enjoying himself while smiling #(maybe he smiled at the ending of Rivals 2; the artwork doesn't show it but you know‚ maybe he did)#and then bam Espio has fallen <3 #silver the hedgehog #espio the chameleon #espilver
