#I'm thinking of writing a proper post about suspensions over the winter break

Changing the topic for a second, I read earlier that the PU has never been run to the maximum power level due to the reliability issues they were having. It could be as high as 25-30hp.
Do you think the reliability issues could be solved for next year and we could get an even faster car?
I wanted to talk about this and then I forgot.. So thanks for the reminder.

We are probably talking about 25/30 HP, or 6/7 tenths.
We all knew that the PU had been turned down because of reliability and that we've never seen it at full capacity.
I doubt that they'll turn it up completely even with the reliability sorted out because longevity and such.
But yeah, they are testing the reliability upgrades on the testbed rn and if they fix that issue and there aren't any new ones the "new" PU should be at least back on par with the Honda one.
At the start of the season the talk was that the Ferrari had an advantage of like 4HP so they should at least get back to that.
According to what has been learned, 3/4 tenths of development on the current single-seater have been sacrificed for the benefit of the new car.Β The 675 will have some major improvements and in many areas.Β The goal is to return to having much more load to widen the set-up options and obtain all the available power for which the Power Unit was designed
This bit is also interesting. Because that also bodes well. I mean post summer break it was obvious that a title wasn't happening this season so this sounds like good idea.
It'll be really interesting to see what they'll do with the suspension because that's apparently also something they might change. We'll see.
